{"sf1_id":1000729,"sf2_id":"XekrbrY1","title":"Song of Magdora","author":"Arbie2","words":441,"posted_at":"2016-05-17T09:25:00.000Z","tags":["Alternate Society","Anthro","Introduction","Mythological Creature","Scalie"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1000729-song-of-magdora","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/XekrbrY1","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/e3/04/e304f181-f117-43c1-aba8-99e5b8d34b01","description":"The song of the history of Magdora.","content":" **SONG OF MAGDORA**\n\n* * *\n\nMagdora was a fairly peaceful planet, unified under the Capital's law,  \nWith shining cities, and no hunger.  \nFairly.  \nDespite this peace, there are still some who fight against this,  \nStriving to turn the world into a world of chaos, war, and poverty.  \nOnly because they wish to see the last of the Enchidirions dead,  \nSo they can take their power for themselves.\n\nEnchidirions, like the rest of their world, are more than animal,  \n But this does not mean that Ferals don't exist.  \nWhat makes the Enchidirions special is that, while they are Nagas, they have horns, varying from person to person like hair is.  \nBut there is more.  \nThey hold, in their blood, the power of the rare element known only as Ucrylium,  \nWhich grants the few who exist at a time the power to manipulate nature itself.\n\nSome believe that if they put an Enchidirion's blood in their own, that they will gain their powers,  \nBut that would require the death of the donor.  \nUltimately, there is no Enchidirion willing to die to give the gift of blood.  \nBut that does not mean they leave those they love with nothing.\n\nEnchidirion tradition calls for an Enchidirion nearing the end of their lifespan to leave a gift for future generations,  \nAn Enchidirion Artifact.  \nAll of these Artifacts were hidden, once.  \nUntil SHE came.\n\nSHE is Kio Dorvinia, the only Enchidirion of her generation, and the Mother of the ascension.  \nShe earned this name by activating the largest known artifact,  \nThe Beacon of the Capital.  \nThis beacon allowed us access to lost troves of knowledge,   \nWhich allowed our ascension, and the peace with it.  \nWe count the years since this ascension,  \nWe count the lives since this ascension,\n\nThere are three companies responsible for this world;  \nAurora Tech, led by our Kio.  \nHAWK Industries, led by her aide, Mako.  \nand Pheonix, led by The Council, shadows with no name.\n\nThey each provide us with something,  \nAurora with that for our homes,  \nHAWK with that for our future,  \nand Pheonix with that for destruction.\n\nMonuments to that of our world stand,  \nBut yet shadows still lurk,  \nThe Shadowlands being that of death.  \nWe know not of what they contain,  \nFor only our eyes can see the shadows.\n\nAnd yet, when we are disturbed,  \nAn angel of white and blue sets us back.  \nHe gave us no name, but rank instead.  \nSupreme Arbiter, of the Magdoran Guard,  \nA guard which we know not exist,  \nNot until our angel came.\n\nThis guard remains,  \nAnd here we stand,  \nMeant to build our reach,  \nBeyond this world,  \nAnd into the stars!\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
