This poem was written over the course of a few months. I began writing it just to practice creating imagery, but it turned into a love poem. I wrote it while inspired by how relationships are created and grow. This was finished on 5/20/2016.

The primitive flowers of lust

Bloom upon the vines

That spring up the fleshy walls

Of our hearts and minds.

 

Produced from the ever blooming sprouts

Planted within our souls.

Seeds watered with rain

Made from tears of joy and pain.

 

Their roots buried deep

In the soils we both share.

Creating our blossoming field.

The field of blooming love.
