I'll probably upload a few more of my poems here, though don't think I'm straying from writing stories. Who would eat\n\nA fruit that soils all it touches?\n\nWho would stay near\n\nA creature that kills all smaller plants?\n\nShe doesn't realize\n\nThat her poison and her stain\n\nAre of no consequence.\n\nIn her broad limbs birds and squirrels find shelter.\n\nInside the discoloring fruit lies a sweet, hard center\n\nWell worth waiting for.\n\nShe doesn't realize\n\nThat in her far-flung shade and grassy surroundings\n\nThe gentle folk may take picnics\n\nAnd the children can play.\n\nAnd with no smaller plants around,\n\nPainters have a clearer view\n\nOf her untainted beauty.\n\nI hope someday she realizes\n\nThat her poison and her staining fruit\n\nAre of no consequence.\n\nThese things only make her stronger\n\nAnd draw her true friends closer.\n\nI hope someday she sees in her reflection\n\nThe same beauty and resilience\n\nHer friends see so clearly.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poems","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/900083-reset.json"}}
