only don't mix  
  
Eye surgeon in  
through gaudy Caribbean blue  
eventually made of light.  
  
Changed much, man of Mr. Am  
oh God left alone I am  
man

Fair skinned and thin  
staring down and out  
a window  
head pressed against protected glass  
if need to  
in brokers hands I am  
man

moment  
Mother peers at her boys  
she had complained about the gap  
itself dangerous as Lucifers look

way of ghettos  
or of a bite-house.  
  
tried livin' there  
I complained about the gap too   
(dangerous as Lucifers look)
