LAST TIME ON JUST ONCE: Albus made Jem breakfast. Just for a moment, we're going to flash back to when Albus was 16-and-a-half.  One reason why is that Albus was thinking back to something now relevant that happened back then.  WRITER'S NOTE: Another reason is that I forgot to tie this into tthe most  recent Tales of Zootopia's story about how motivation for the finale came along.  Albus was attending the funeral of two close friends, a lesbian couple both dying of Hepatitis and holding their own funeral, by the name of Mara and Jem.  At the end of it, Albus was incredibly depressed, but they were cheered up by seeing Mara and Jem lovingly embrace for a few hours.  Afterwards, Albus decided to go talk to them.  "So...Last time I checked up on you, you were just friends.  What happened since then?  Jen replied "Well, of course, we got Hep, and we became aware of our own mortality, and wanted to make the most of the time we have." "Wow.  I'm just going to keep that in my mind, then." "Okay." And if that knife killed me, I would never have the chance to tell Jem how I feel Albus thought.  Then, as he was walking down the hallway, he saw another note: "Just tell your love how you feel about her.  Even rejection feels better than repression, trust me.  -Jaime Swanson"  Albus then remembered that he was supposed to carry the food upstairs, grabbed it, and stormed upstairs. "Oh my god!  That breakfast looks delicious!" Jem exclaimed the moment Albus entered the bedroom.  "I hope it is, because I made it for you." Albus replied.  "Thank you so, so much, Albus" "No, thank YOU.  Thank you for being a part of my life" Then Jem asked "Where are you going with this?" while eating the pancakes.  Albus took some deep breaths, and then he almost hyperventilated, before stopping himself.  "There's something that I wanted to tell you nearly ever since I met you, something that I should've told you a long time ago" "Are you trans or something" Well, questioning, but-" "Is that the thing you meant to tell me" No, not really.  Jem, when I was just a little boy, I fell madly in love with you.  Ever since then, I've just been trying to muster up the courage to tell you how I feel, and-" and then Jem straight-up grabbed the collar of their shirt, pulled them towards her, and started French kissing him. "I've felt the same way about you ever since then, Albus.  I just didn't want to be rejected and not even have our friendship" "I didn't want that either.  I guess I should have just told you how I felt from the start" "I should have told you how I felt from the start too" Then, they started eating their food together.  WRITER'S NOTE: That was the moment that I've been waiting to write into existence for a rather long time now.  Did anyone NOT see this ending coming after reading quite a bit of my work, though?  MY fursona gets together with the love interest.  Still, it's a moment I've been waiting for, and so have you, probably.  BACK TO THE STORY.  Albus started hand-feeding Jem, who started laughing.  "What're you doing?  I'm not complaining, because I do less work and it's adorable, but what the fucktits?" "Just making sure that you get plenty of rest.  You've earned it for being so awesome.  Also, feeding you kind of turns me on for some reason.  I think I have this weird fetish invovling food, I'm pretty sure." "Maybe we should experiment with it sometime soon", and then Jem kissed Albus on the mouth.  Some of the honey and syrup in her mouth got in theirs.  "Maybe we should also spread the good news.  I don't know why, but I just feel like a moment this beautiful and special needs to be shared." "That's part of what social media is for: Sharing every last minute detail of your life with anybody who could possibly care." NEXT TIME ON JUST ONCE: Time to go to work again, because I'm not just going to end the series now that they're together.  I kind of want to explore how their daily lives are as a couple.
