It contains mind control, BDSM, rape, and other elements designed to make readers feel decidedly uncomfortable. If you're one of those creepified people, let me know in the comments. If not, let me know anyway.\n\n* * *\n\n_November 18th, 2016, 5:23 PM. Riviera County Sheriff's Department. Officer Clarice Graham. Subject is a Jane Doe, mid 20s. Claims to have been abducted, brainwashed, and sustained memory damage. Has been supplied with a cup of coffee._\n\nI'm not sure I like coffee.\n\n_Sweetie, **nobody** likes our coffee. How do you feel?_\n\nHappy. Scared. Angry. I don't know. Is that door locked?\n\n_Yes._\n\nAre you sure?\n\n_I'm sure. Can you tell me something about what happened?_\n\nI was walking from the bus station to work...or school...it's hard to remember. Then everything went black.\n\nI woke up in some kind of dog cage, like a weird pound. Except that all the cages were human-sized. There were people in them. Different races, different ages. I swear, I saw some missing limbs.\n\n_Do you remember the location?_\n\nN-no. Sorry.\n\n_It's okay._\n\nI was there for...I don't, I don't know how long. Then this man in a suit comes along, looking in the cages. He stops at mine and goes \"I like the look of this one.\"\n\n_Did you say anything?_\n\nI said \"Please, let me out.\" He just smiles and goes \"noisy. But I'm sure I can train her.\" Then Doc says \"she's had all her shots!\"\n\n_Who's Doc?_\n\nThe doctor, the lady who ran the weird pound.\n\n_Do you remember what the man looked like? Could you identify him in a lineup?_\n\n...No.\n\nIt's funny, y'know. I can't...I can't really remember his face, but I remember his _smell_, the taste of his-nevermind.\n\nThey did something to me, with this...goo stuff.\n\n_Drugs?_\n\nNo, it was like a coating. It went all over me, and I could feel my mind changing while they were doing it, but I couldn't stop it. And then they changed me so I didn't care.\n\nLook, you see my nose?\n\n_I thought-_\n\nIt's real. Not makeup, not surgery. You had...egg salad for lunch. I can smell better, I can hear better, I'm more flexible than I should be, look-\n\n_That won't be necessary._\n\nIt was kind of like a suit. But it wasn't just a suit. If it was a suit, I'd still have fingers. But I just had paws. But it felt like it was okay, because pets didn't need fingers. We just need to be obedient, to be good. Being good was everything.\n\nI mean, that's what I thought.\n\nI remember...flashing lights and strange sounds. It wasn't like my mind was being changed, exactly, it was more like it was being...stripped. Pared down, like...\n\nOkay, you ever heard a sculptor say they're trying to find the statue inside the wood, or marble, or ice, or whatever? Like that. Everything that wasn't about me being a good girl just got wiped. Gone. Surplus to requirements.\n\nSo there I was, on the table, waiting for my new master. And he comes in, and I just feel _warm_, all over. I feel _right_. You know what that feels like?\n\n_Yeah._\n\nIt's...creepy. This guy was a complete stranger. But I was so _excited_ when he put the collar on, when he clipped the leash. Tail wagging and everything. It felt like he was my best friend. Better.\n\n_You had a tail?_\n\nYeah.\n\n_And you could wag it?_\n\nYeah. Like I said, this wasn't just a suit. Then he took me home.\n\n_Nobody said anything?_\n\n...No.\n\nUm, I-I remember he stopped at a convenience store, to buy gum or something. The lady behind the counter said something about a new dog, and she looks at me and goes \"is she a good girl?\" and I remember wanting to be a good girl _so bad_. He just said \"we'll see\".\n\n_She didn't notice?_\n\nNope. Nobody ever noticed.\n\n_How is that possible?_\n\nI don't know. Mass hypnosis, mind control, magic, maybe he just _paid_ them. Maybe the whole thing was just a really, _really_ big act, to reinforce the brainwashing.\n\n...I think maybe he was showing off. Testing the merchandise.\n\nWhen he bought me home, he gave me a doggie bed in the kitchen, near the fridge. I liked the smell of food, the hum, the warmth. Like a...like a heartbeat. We'd play a lot, tossing around toys in the backyard. I can still remember the feel of dirt on my tongue, on my _paws_. I've heard of phantom pain, but phantom _paws_?\n\n...Sorry. That...that wasn't funny. It's just...I'm not sure how to deal. Should I even make jokes about it?\n\n_I'm not a therapist, but they tell us talking helps._\n\nRight.\n\nSometimes he'd let me onto the couch. I'd lie on his lap while he watched TV and petted me. Long strokes, one direction. Just...being there with him. Like...like having a boyfriend, but _better_.\n\nOne time, he had a...toy in me, and we went out on walkies, and he had the leash attached to the toy instead of my collar. So if I ran ahead too far, if I wasn't a good girl, it would get pulled out.\n\n_I just want to be clear here; you're saying you and this man had sex while you were in this...altered state? While you were unable to refuse or consent?_\n\nYes.\n\n_I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-_\n\nNo, no, it's okay. It's okay. I think I needed to cry. Just get it out.\n\n_Were you the only one?_\n\nThe only \"pet\"? As far as I know. But I wasn't the only woman. He had dates. Sometimes he bought them back to his house, and I would be so excited to make a new friend-\n\nThat's what he called it. \"Making friends.\"\n\n_I'm sorry, I don't..._\n\nOnce he had me in the cupboard under the counter. So his date is in the living room, and he makes up an excuse to come into the kitchen, and he has me...service him while he's chatting with her or pouring wine or whatever he was doing. I couldn't see, y'know? I could only smell. But it's not the smell of that time I remember. It's the _taste_. I can even tell what kind of soap he likes.\n\nSometimes he would let me up on the bed, let me \"help\". Sometimes the women came back. Sometimes they took me on walks. Sometimes he let a friend...use me. While he watched. Or there was a camera.\n\n_You seem pretty normal now._\n\nRight. I was just sleeping in my bed, and I...woke up.\n\nYou know that feeling when your leg falls asleep? After you wake up? The pins-and-needles? Imagine that, except with your mind. You can't use your leg properly for a while, but it's still better than nothing.\n\n_You just 'woke up'?_\n\nYeah. I don't know why. I just suddenly became...more. More than an animal, more than a pet. Almost a real girl. I remembered even less than I do now. But I did remember what he _did_ to me.\n\nSort of.\n\n_Sort of?_\n\nIt was just general things, at first. Who he was, where I was, what I was. The same things you think when you wake up in the morning. And then you look at your bowl and think \"and that's where he feeds me kibble\". And then you think \"wait, that's not right.\"\n\n_Did you realize everything was wrong at once?_\n\nNo. I'd look at the fridge, and think about the time I stuck my nose in there, and he dragged me out by the collar. Or the ball I chased under the stove and couldn't get out. And it just didn't seem to quite...fit. Like, like there was a piece I was missing.\n\nSo I just wandered through the house as the memories came back. At one point, I curled up on his bed, and all I remember thinking was _good girls don't go on beds without permission_. But I really, _really_ wanted his smell.\n\nAnd that's when I started to remember my old life, who I was _before_. Lying on his bed reminded me of lying in bed on a Saturday morning with nothing to do. The stove made me think of cooking - I think I liked to cook. Every time I had a memory of him, I remembered a little more about who I _really_ was.\n\n_Wow._\n\nIt was scary, at first. But as it went on, it felt more and more like I was putting the pieces of the puzzle together. And just having that thought was kinda scary, because dogs aren't _supposed_ to know what jigsaw puzzles are. _Good girls_ aren't supposed to know what jigsaw puzzles are.\n\nRemember the wine thing? I saw the rack and thought \"huh, I like white more than red\" then I remembered the cupboard. I remembered the \"walkies\" when I saw the leash by the door. I had a dog when I was a kid. He got hit by a car and we had to put him down. But I can't remember his name. I can't even remember if he was a \"he\".\n\nAnd that's on top of the physical changes.\n\nI was changing back to normal.\n\n_I'm sorry, what?_\n\nStands to reason, doesn't it? If they wiped my mind when they changed me, then remembering would reverse it. And the second I realized that I had fingers again, I went for the door, got into the backyard, and climbed over the fence.\n\n_Why not-_\n\nThe front door? I thought he was coming. I thought he would be home any minute. Maybe if I had kept going, I'd be back to normal, but-\n\nHe's not coming, is he? You'll protect me if he comes?\n\n_I promise, he's not coming._\n\nHow can you be so sure?\n\n_He's dead._\n\nWhat?\n\n_What did you call him?_\n\nSir, Master, whatever he wanted. What do you mean \"dead\"?\n\n_We checked the collar you were wearing. The tags on it said you belonged to-_\n\nI don't...I don't want to know his name. Not yet.\n\n_There was a car accident-_\n\nOh.\n\n_Truck driver. Ran a red, T-bone. Walked away without a scratch._\n\nDid he suffer?\n\n_What?_\n\nI hope he suffered. I hope it _hurt_. I hope- Gut wounds hurt a lot, right? I hope he felt his limbs getting crushed. I hope metal sliced his gut open, I hope he bled out slowly and he knew he was going to H-\n\n_Tissue?_\n\nThanks.\n\nThat was probably it.\n\n_Was what?_\n\nIf my owner was dead, the contract or spell whatever was null and void. And just like _that_, I'm free.\n\n_Did you go straight for help?_\n\nNot until I could talk properly. Then I started banging on doors. Part of me wanted - _wants_ - me to ask for help to find Sir, or to go back home and wait to be punished. But I couldn't find ho — that _house_ again even if wanted to. And trust me, I don't.\n\n_You were still remembering?_\n\nYeah. For example...I hate coffee. I'm all about tea.\n\n_Your nose is back to normal._\n\nIt is?\n\n_It is._\n\nGood-\n\n_What? What is it?_\n\nI just...I just remembered. Sometimes he went on business trips. Sometimes he had a housesitter, sometimes he took me back to Doc. Once...he took me to a kennel.\n\n_Are you saying-_\n\nThere were _others_ there. Other pets, like me. Other good boys and girls.\n\n_...I can't-this is above my paygrade. This might even be **federal**._\n\nI hope they catch them.\n\nI hope they throw away the key.\n\nHave you found who I am yet?\n\n_We're working on it._\n\nThank you. I just...want to go back to normal.\n\n_Well, it sounds like you had quite an experience. And I just got word that your vet is here to pick you up._\n\nWhat?\n\n_Well, every pet needs an owner, don't they? We can't have strays running around._\n\nThey got to you. You have to fight it-\n\n_Glad you could come, Doc._\n\nYou!\n\n**I hope she wasn't any trouble.**\n\n_Not at all. Shame about the accident._\n\n**His family will be devastated.**\n\nGet away from me!\n\n**She can be so disobedient. Always escaping from the yard. Maybe her new owner will have her better trained. Look right here-**\n\nThat light-!\n\n**Oh dear. A little help?**\n\n_Right away._\n\nLet go of me!\n\n**Oh, how cute. It works even though your eyelids, dear.**\n\nStop...\n\n**Why? The lease says you revert to us.**\n\nPlease...I'm not your pet...I'm a per—\n\n**Then what are you, dear? You don't even have a name.**\n\nI don't have a name because you _took_ it from me! I'm-\n\n**You're _what_, sweetie?**\n\nI'm...\n\n**What are you?**\n\n...A good girl.\n\n**Good.**\n\n* * *\n\n# Good Girl\n\n2016 Nequ  \nCC By-SA-NC\n\n* * *\n\n* * *\nBasically inspired by the trailer for the Oscar-winning film \"Room\". Not the movie. Just the trailer. And the \"some jerk (or jerks) keeps someone else in their basement for years\" news stories that inspired it.  \n  \n My first pass at this story had the Girl \"waking up\" in her master's house and gradually de-transforming as her mind came back to her, her memories triggered by objects around the house. Then the Doc arrives, but she manages to turn the tables on her. After the Doc is injected with her own \"booster shot\", the Girl asks her the details of her operation. She resists, but the Girl croons \"don't you want to be a Good Girl?\" Story ends.  \n  \n I could never quite get it to \"catch\". I wanted psychological thriller, and the ending seemed too triumphant, too easy. Also easy was the one where the Doc just walks in and whammies her again. Or the one where she tries to find some way to escape, only for the Doc's goons to corner her.  \n  \n Then I remembered the format I used back in _Transcript_...[  \n](https://www.sofurry.com/view/97028)   \n\n* * *\n  \n**Alternate Version** : The Girl tries to work through her issues using bondage, while telling the story. The guy she's got restrained gradually realizes it's not just a fantasy, she believes it actually happened, and that she's paranoid and crazy, right about the time she pulls out a knife and says she's going to cut his fake face off to expose the Master underneath. Then everyone will know she's not crazy. Not this time.  \n  \n\n* * *\nSay, did any of y'all think \"shouldn't she be in the hospital instead of the police station?\" Or did you just think the interview was being conducted in the hospital? Or did you not think about it at all?","series":{"name":"Halloween","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/924481-weenie-halloween-tf-experimental.json","next":"https://sofurry.com/s/dmWzpxLe"}}
