I'm a nice guy ,maybe a dick at times if I'm honest, but I do the best that I can to be a good king. But the thing about being a king ,or anyone with power, is that no matter what good you do there will always be those who find fault in your actions. I didn't want to be king , no one ever wants to be king . Kings start with the death of one and end with the death of themselves. Everyone wants to kill me, even those who are most trusted in my life could just as easily become snakes. Life was much simpler when I was just a common monkey swinging through the jungle. I was living care free but that idiot King Slate had to cause a problem. He wanted my land , the forest that has been in my name since birth, and when he sent armed grads after me off course I had to act. So I killed him . I had no idea an entire kingdom would then look at me as some kind of hero.

They loved me in the beginning and that's the only reason I took this crap job. Not two years later and already they want my head on a spike. I'm 20 years old and came from a life where I was living in the wild so can you blame me if I'm not the best at all this diplomatic stuff , or taxes. And now there's apparently some holiday today where the locals are meant to shower me in gifts. They hate this holiday I hate this holiday but still we go through with it. I live in a castle made out of more gold than brick, I could survive without a second Christmas.

I went through the holiday as usual. The people came dropped off their gifts to me and left. It was almost a smooth day until the very last person arrived. He had no gift , no what he had was his son. This old nut job brought me his son. I'm a monkey, basically a symbol of care free freedom, and this guy brought me his son and told me I could keep him as a pet. How fucked up is that. I wanted to say no , I don't need a kid , but to say no would be disrespecting the offering and some other bull shit my adviser told me. In the end I had to keep this kid, at least he was a monkey too , it would nice to have one of my own in the castle for a change .

This kid had to be at best fifteen , that's better than a baby. God knows I wasn't about to change dippers, when I was growing up dippers weren't even a thing , you just went in a bush. Anyway I guess you can say the story started that night. I had my royal guards put together a room for the kid and from that moment he was mine. His name was Rio.

I didn't speak to the kid for weeks , but to be fair he didn't want to speak with me ether after his father basically sold him to me for nothing. I was prepared to let the kid stay in his room for as long as possible until I got word that he refused to bathe and his smell was starting to spread from his room into the rest of the castle.

For the first time in a month I went by his room and knocked on the door. He didn't answer so walked in. The second I swung open the door I was hit by possibly the worst smell ever and I traced it back to the kid laying in bed.

Yamma- you need to bathe

He looked up at me then turned over.

Yamma - did you hear me , I said you need to bath

Rio- eat shit

That was unexpected , I knew the kid probably wasn't happy but that was just harsh.

Yamma- I've gotten word that your smell is starting to spread around the castle, so you need to bathe

Rio- you need to leave me alone

Yamma- kid you can't speak to me that way

Rio- why not , your nothing special, your just a poor excuse for a king , your not worth the shit a cow drops in a field

Like I said I'm a nice guy , I try to be a good king but I couldn't let this kid speak to me like that. I jumped on the bed and wrapped my fingers around his throat squeezing tightly.

Yamma - I said you need to bathe , do you understand me

He nodded his head and tried to say yes. I slowly let him go and got out of the bed. He panted and cough his breath as I fixed my cape and royal belt , the only clothes I wore around the castle.

Yamma - I'm sorry kid

Rio - sure you are

He left the room and went to the baths with his head low making sure not to look me in my eye. Some first impression that was. I didn't want this kid to hate me but the balls on him were almost as big as mine ,and I meant that more than just figuratively. The kid walked around naked , at least I put on a belt and a cape.

I caught up to him on his way down the hallway, I even put my arm around him.

Yamma- Look I get it , you miss your dad and it can be lonely in this castle , but I'm not the bad guy here

Rio - then who is

Yamma- no one is kid , it's just a shit situation

Rio- you could send me back home couldn't you , your the king

I had to look away as I took back my arm from around him to scratch my head. We stopped walking and he looked at me seriously.

Rio- can't you

Yamma- no kid , I can't

He started walking again.

Yamma - I would if I could though , I don't want you here anymore than you do

Rio - thanks that makes me feel so much better

He went into the baths and I waited outside. Fuck , this kid just got here and already he was questioning the power of what I can and can't do. I was trying in my own way. At least I didn't choke him that time.

He was taking forever and might have been because he needed to but I assume something was up. I walked in and the kid was trying to climb out the window. I grabbed his tail and pulled him back inside quickly closing the window shut.

Yamma - you must like the feel of my hands around your neck , what the hell are you doing

I barked slurs and rage at Rio until he was in a corner. It took me a moment but eventually I stopped myself.

Rio- I just want to go home

My eyes must have been full of rage but when I heard that scared voice it reminded me of myself. When u was brought to this castle all I wanted to do was run back to my forest.

I broke my frown with a grin.

Yamma - you know technically your my pet .... and as my pet I should bathe you

Rio- what , no

Yamma - yea and you smell pretty bad , I'd have to scrub you down good

I looked down at his crotch and back to his eyes jokingly.

Rio- I don't need you to that

Yamma - are you sure because I don't mind , you wouldn't be the first guy I've been in the baths with

He blushed and I laughed.

Yamma - take a bath , and this time don't try to run away, or else I'll get in the tub with you and make sure you get clean

He nodded and rather than leave I stood in the corner of the room. We both could already see one another fully so I knew no line would be crossed unless I touched him.

I watched him intimately and he could tell. He tried not to look in my direction but I made sure not to break eye contact. The whole ordeal was long but I laughed almost the whole way through from his shy show.

When he was done I helped him out of the tub and dried him. I let him dry his more private parts and then we left.

He didn't say much as we walked back to his room. I stopped him before he walked back in knowing he'd shut the door and not come back out.

Yamma - you don't have to stay in your room kid

He said nothing.

Yamma - come on I'm trying, work with me here, I'm really not that bad of a monkey when you get to know me

Rio - you strangled me

Yamma - one time , and I wasn't going to hurt you , you just needed to know not to speak to me that way

Rio- do you even know my name

Yamma - of course I do, you've been here for a month now how could I not know your name

Rio- then what is it

Yamma - kid come on

Rio- I hate it when you call me kid , your only five years older than me

Yamma - five years is long enough for me to have the right to call you kid

Rio- you still haven't told me my name yet

Yamma - you wanna know your name , your name is pet , toy , play thing , how's that

He ran in his room and slammed the door shut. I beat on the door ordering him to open it but got no response.

Yamma - your name is Rio, happy now, I said I know your name and I do

He yelled through the door but the door was to thick to make anything out .

Yamma - I can't hear you

There was a pause and then he cracked the door open slightly.

Rio- your a dick you know that

Yamma - yes I know that , but like I said "I'm trying kid" and it would help if you did too

Rio- I don't belong here

Yamma - and you think I do , you said it yourself I'm just five years older than you , I'm the last person who should be sitting on a thrown

Rio- then why not give up and leave

Yamma - because I can't , just like you can't

It took him a moment but Rio let me in.

Yamma - come eat with me

Rio- I don't know

Yamma - you have to eat something, or you'll starve and I can't have my pet starving

Rio- I'm not a pet

Yamma - I'm joking, but you have to know by now that to everyone else that's what you are to me , a pet

Rio- and what am I to you really

Yamma - I don't know yet , but maybe lunch can help us find out

https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1090518-rio-and-yamma-pt-2-better-understanding.json"}
