Blank pages upon scribbled I have  
The pen bleeds my heart but lies

So many pages  
Blank and arid dry and torn  
The emptiness it scorns

I stab at thee oh muse of mine  
Taunting teasing but leaving me lie

Crumpled pages  
Poems long forgotten  
Their words misbegotten
