# Among the Leaves

This is just a short poem I did while stuck on a bus for a few hours. I liked it so I decided to post it.

Among the dead leaves I roamed

In the depths of the forest

And there I saw her before me

As if summer's beauty had taken form in her

With hair as crimson as the falling leaves

That fell between her fingers

Her once radiant youth that shone like the sun

Has now faded to twilight

Her eyes were closed as she swayed back and forth

Her pale feet danced on the cold autumn breeze

She was an angel of summer

As summer's life had come to an end

The branch that held the rope snapped

And she landed among those dead leaves
