Despite being on a liquid diet he liked not needing to make lunch.\nHe messaged Paul, \"Hope you're having a great day I\nhad more soup, thanks again.\"\n\"Any time, how are the meds settling today?\" Paul\nsent back.\n\"Still a bit off but that might be the new normal.\nSo do you think I'm being ridiculous to feel hurt by my dad's response? I'm here for you.\"\n\"Hugs, so where are you shopping now?\"\n\"Crate and a Barrel.\"\n\"If you're buying what I think you're buying it's\nstill a bit early for that,\" Oliver texted.\n\"Maybe but it's so pretty and it's real wood,\" Paul\nwrote back.\n\"It'll still be there if you end up needing it, wait\nfor Black Friday, I mean you have time, at least get a deal.\"\n\"Oh nice, I'll price check at Sear's and Macy's\ntoo.\"\n\"Lol, fine I'll see you later rather than sooner\nthen,\" Oliver texted.\nHe cleaned up his lunch, Is Sean ok, wait did Xander meet up with Sean?\n\"Hey Xander, do you know why is Sean on Aurora? Did\nyou see him at City Hall?\" Oliver texted.\n\"Shit that's where he is. I need you to call him and\ntext him, I'm on my way there,\" Xander texted.\n\"Sean's not taking calls or reading his texts.\"\n\"That's fine, just give him something to ignore, Oliver\nthis is important!\" \nOliver paced his living room while he pulled up Sean's\ncontact info. His phone buzzed as he hit dial.\nIn his ear he heard breathing.\n\"...Hello, is someone there?\" Oliver said.\n\"Son, I called to talk, man to man\" Dad said.\nIce ran down Oliver's spine, \"Oh, I thought I was\nshunned and you were all done with me?\"\n\"Distant not done, we can't have you interacting\nwith the family or community, your choices aren't appropriate.\"\n\"Who said anything about choices, you know nothing\nabout me or my life, it's been two, no, it's been over three years dad.\" Oliver\nshredded his last good throw pillow.\n\"We couldn't have you there with the grandkits\ncoming over.\"\n\"Why because they would catch gay?\"\n\"No the FIV, it's dangerous, your dangerous, the\nfaithful can't have those toxins in their bodies,\" Dad said.\n\"You mean medicine, like those antibiotics, which I\nrecall you had mom take when she got pneumonia.\"\n\"She never forgave me my weakness in faith,\nson.\"\n\"You shunned me, I'm not your son remember.\"\n\"Shunned or not you're still my son, that I failed\nto raise right, train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he\nwon't turn from you, what did I do wrong?\" Dad said.\n\"Nothing dad you didn't fail me, except throwing me\nout when I needed you,\" Oliver claws bit into his phone case.\n\"You were living a lie, debauchery or drugs.\"\n\"Wrong I didn't do drugs and I didn't choose to have\nsex. If you had talk to me you'd have known me and my life but you\ndidn't.\"\n\"There is always a choice,\" dad said.\n\"Not when you are raped...
