Memor-ease...

Somewhat simple, something profound

I have this feeling fleeting, a wanting to always be homeward bound

Not to know what was or may still be

But to see what has always been enough for me

Settled into the known, just the thought leaves me with a grin

A smirk like some jerk knowing the punchline before the comedian can begin

It's still there, the pieces I hold dear to my heart

Those that never left me from the very start

It's like a smile waiting to be seen

In so many ways, always somewhere between

Distance the wall standing tall before eyes to meet & calm a shaken hand

I find physically, same as in mind, the feeling turning from a want to a heavy demand

Still, with each deep breath, I revisit reasons to steady my moments unclear

Life still as it will be, I need to follow feelings content with each never changing fear

Sit & think, stand or sink, either way, motivation isn't far from any place

I guess in the end, my will tends to bend to see another memory made with each trusted face

"Miss y'all all"

"Traffic sucks anywhere near Austin =p"
