Part Two I'm Sorry

Ever since that night, James hasn't talked very much about it; most likely 

for Joey's sake. Although Joey can't stop thinking about it, he doesn't bring it up. 

Until after school. James and his group of friends, Adrian, Jesse, Kael and Joey, 

decided it would be a fun idea to hang around town. 

This time Joey was forced to stop ignoring James. He had tried so hard to 

push this out of his mind. Telling himself 'I'm not gay.. There are absolutely no feelings for 

him..I like girls..I love girls..' 

He kept thinking, steadily convincing himself. "Hey!" Jesse nudged Joey in 

the side. "Look at the body on that chick.. I'd like to have a girl like that." Joey 

unintentionally ignored him. "Hey? Dude!" Jesse pressed on. "You're not even 

going to look?" Jesse looked at him in disapproval. 

"Uh..yeah. Sorry dude, not in the mood today." Joey stared at his feet as they 

walked. 

"Ok.." Jesse walked ahead with the rest. James waited for Joey to catch up. Joey 

glanced at him, but quickly looked away; I'm not gay..I'm not gay..I'm not gay.. They 

caught up with the group. Kael got a call from his parents urging him to come 

home because of family matter, so he walked home.

Around Eight they decided to all go home. James walked Joey home, 

although Joey insisted he shouldn't. 

"Hey..so about last night--" James started.

"Nothing." Joey cut in.   He began walking faster and shoved his hands in his pockets. James had 

to run to catch up with him."Hey! Don't you think we should at least try to talk 

about it?"

"No!" Joey began sprinting. "I never want to think about it again!" His voice was 

shaking.

"Dude.. Please..wait!" James called after him. He stopped to breathe. It was 

getting dark and cool outside.

Eventually Joey had to stop as well. James walked to him tiredly. "Hey d-- 

are you..crying?"

"..yes." Joey was sitting on the street; his hands covered his face. "I don't want to 

talk to you.." Joey whispered.

"I'm sorry.." James said as he sat down next to him. "I never meant for this 

to happen." James sighed. Joey looked up at him; tears streamed down his face.

"What am I going to do..I really think I..care about you." Joey rubbed his eyes.

"We'll find a way..I promise." James wrapped his arm around Joey. 

Joey's tension fell.
