Pragmatism encourages you to open both simultaneously, and finding no reason not to do so, you do so. In one drawer, you find a **small leather-bound tome** attached to a thick silver-and-copper chain. In the other, you find a **thin gnarled wooden stick** and an **onyx feather quill** , both seven inches long. A quick glance through the tome reveals that it is devoid of all writing. _Spatial Awareness skill is increasing..._ You then endeavour to open the **MYSTERIOUS BOX.** Unfortunately, it is tightly sealed with transparent tape. In fact, the amount of transparent tape involved is staggering. You quietly wonder why anybody would go through all that hard work to seal a **MYSTERIOUS BOX,** before it dawns on you that this is probably part of its **MYSTERIOUS** quality.
