Temptation. Darkness.\n\nBeauty. Love.\n\nSensations.\n\n  \n\nHow can you say you know me,\n\nWhen it's all once upon a time.\n\nHow can you say you see me,\n\nWhen it's all once upon a time.\n\nHow can you say you hear me,\n\nWhen it's all once upon a time.\n\n  \n\nOnce upon a time I stroked the magic mirror.\n\nSeeking my happily ever after.\n\nIt wasn't just one prince charming.\n\n  \n\nAn illusion.\n\nA facade.\n\nA shattered pretty face.\n\nA broken mirror later.\n\n  \n\nOnce upon a time I came to life.\n\nNo longer a frozen porcelain doll.\n\nA doll that stroked the shattered mirror.\n\nScattered pieces that told my porcelain story.\n\n  \n\nI lived at home playing Cinderella.\n\nA wicked witch. A cruel father figure.\n\nA sister who became my friend in the shadows.\n\n  \n\nTickety Tock.\n\n  \n\nI felt the strings with Master nowhere to be seen.\n\nAn illusion that I was not real.\n\nPrince for prince.\n\nWords for words.\n\n  \n\nI promise, Master.\n\nI'm not upset at every lie.\n\nI'm upset that I can't believe in..\n\nYOU.\n\n  \n\nThe gears were reminders.\n\nFirstly, Never touch the hands of your heart.\n\nLastly, Never fall in love.\n\n  \n\nOnce upon a time there was no sound of heartbreak.\n\nOnce upon a time there was no sound of the broken.\n\nOnce upon a time there was no sound of the alone.\n\nYet..\n\nHere I stand as proof of our once upon a time.\n\n  \n\nTickety Tock.\n\nThis is why, SOMETIMES, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.\n\n  \n\nOne: I was never alone.\n\nTwo: I was never in need.\n\nThree: There is a potion that will make you forget the pain.\n\nFour: There is a potion that will allow you to relive the pain.\n\nFive: I am the Mad Hatter.\n\nSix: I will slay my demons.\n\nI'm not crazy.\n\nI'm not crazy.\n\nI'm not crazy! My reality is different than yours.\n\n  \n\nTickety tock.\n\n  \n\nThe clock has reached its time.\n\nOnce upon a time I was a porcelain doll that lived.\n\nOnce upon a time I was a porcelain doll that was not broken.\n\nOnce upon a time my voice was stolen.\n\n  \n\nHear me now.\n\nHear me cry.\n\nHear my strength.\n\n  \n\nA final stroke of the shattered mirror.\n\nI stand here as proof of our once upon a time.\n\n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1173289-nonexistent.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1175369-vent-a-plea.json"}}
