# Angelic Muse

Author: Crae Foxx

Now as I stand here
Thinking of what say
My mind floats astray
To that fateful day
When I was down on my luck
When I had no home
And I was all alone in my own dome
My life came to a dead stop
I hit rock bottom...
I think about my life
And regret Fate's choice
Then I suddenly hear a voice
And I look up as I was confuse
As I see the blinding figure
The figure of a muse
I shield my eyes as I beheld thee
And then she said to me
'Are thou blinded by what ye see?'
I ask "But how does one
see such beauty and grace?"
As she came down to me and
Looked into my face
For hours she examined me
And narrowed in the space
She then layed her hand on my cheek
And I felt a change inside
As her soft skin
Made contact with mine
I opened my eyes
To this angel devine
'The pen is mighter than the sword.'
She said as she handed me a quill
And with the quill
Came into me a new age
As I started to write words
That filled every page
I just wrote and wrote
Wtih a burning passion
I wrote every feeling and meaning,
Every word and action
About foxes, wolves,
And different species
I wrote all I could
About these fantasies
I wrote for what seems
Like centuries
Then I stopped and looked
At my book full of stories
I looked up at the muse
And said "All is well."
And it was at that moment
That is, that I fell
Down from the clouds
Which she was atop
I closed my eyes
Wishing the fall to stop
And when I opened them up
To see what fathomed
I was laying in my bed
And I thought about what happened
I felt something in my hand
And I looked to see
I saw the feathered quill
That the muse had given me
And it was from that
Moment on I knew
That I am a writer
And writing is what I do
