{"sf1_id":1179805,"sf2_id":"q1xj8Ekm","title":"Angel of Darkness","author":"PineCat","words":468,"posted_at":"2017-05-12T15:28:00.000Z","tags":["Angel","Author","Dark","Freelancer","Hell","Hire","Night","Poem","Poet","Religion","Religous","Rhyme","Satan","Sins","Traditional","freelance","sinner","writer"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1179805-angel-of-darkness","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/q1xj8Ekm","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/2d/18/2d18f3f9-aa87-4263-b9b2-25f4829fd7e6","description":"#1 of Poems\n\nPoem by PineCat","content":"A hurt soul lingered upon me   \nWith long black waves of hair   \nHer piercing black eyes stared fiercely   \nAt me with such despair   \n  \nShe had markings on her body   \nThere was one on her arm   \nThat caught my eye quite rapidly   \nAs if to bring alarm   \n  \nIt was an inverted black star   \nLike it had called my name   \nMy attention did not draw far   \nAs if it were in vain   \n  \nHer angelic features rain down   \nOn me like golden beams   \nOf radiant light during sundown   \nOr so to me it seems   \n  \nI followed her down a black road   \nAs the sun descended   \nBehind us light no longer glowed   \nDistantly a bird crowed   \n  \nFilling my body with shivers   \nThe sound crawled up my spine   \nWarning me of lurking dangers   \nThough she made it seem fine   \n  \nShe strode with such a confidence   \nAnd walked in a fast pace   \nWith a demeanor for vengeance   \nYet in her walk lived grace   \n  \nFurther we walked into darkness   \nIsolated from man   \nMy eyesight narrowed with blindness   \nI felt like a dead man   \n  \nThe earth was like a corpse tonight   \nNo longer this felt okay   \nHer body was far out of sight   \nI knew I'd gone astray   \n  \nNow stuck in the midst of nowhere   \nBy my lonesome I walked   \nI begin to chant a prayer   \nFeels like I'm being stalked   \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;I turn 'round and gape at nothing   \nOnly blackness and cold   \nTrapped in an abyss of haunting   \nIn Satan's cruel threshold   \n  \nI realize where I am at now   \nTrembling with fear I shake   \nEager to escape fate somehow   \nWishing that this is fake   \n  \nI fall to my knees as they give   \nSeeking for forgiveness   \nOf sinful acts that I've outlived   \nMy burning consciousness   \n  \nZoning back to memories   \nThat I chose to forget   \nNow damning me with grim furies   \nMaking sure I'll regret   \n  \nThe ground started to burn and crack   \nFiery hell broke loose   \nI was the centre of attack   \nAnd I had no excuse   \n  \nHe threw his wrath upon my soul   \nMy plea for mercy mute   \nMy voice weak, I yearn for console   \nAware he'll execute   \n  \nHis voice deep with love of hatred   \nUnearthly it did sound   \nAnd mimicked me as I waited   \nEchoed as it spun 'round   \n  \n\"I've been keeping note of you, Sir\"   \nHis words were loud and clear   \nThere were no signs of his figure   \nYet I knew he was near   \n  \n\"Satan have mercy on me, please\"   \nWas all I could manage   \nBefore my voice had cracked and seized   \nMy words at a shortage   \n  \nHe told me \"no need to worry,   \nSon, I'll make you a bet\"   \nHe'd release me of misery   \nAnd free me of my debt   \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;If I brought him back a sinner   \nI was free to leave Hell   \nSo my search began at dinner   \nWaiting for night to dwell   \n  \n\n"}
