{"sf1_id":1190480,"sf2_id":null,"title":"The Werewolf Queen and the Little Blue Bird","author":"TehDeminz","words":242,"posted_at":"2017-06-05T18:58:00.000Z","tags":["Birthday","Gift","Poem"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1190480-the-werewolf-queen-and-the-little-blue-bird","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/view/1190480","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=1190480\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"A birthday poem for my friend Wolf Skull Jack on Twitter.","content":"Werewolf Queen and the Little Blue Bird\n\nThe Werewolf Queen had with her a little blue bird,  \nan often grating companion with which she knew she'd be heard.\n\nThe bird had let slip today was the day of Her birth,  \ntwas to be a day full of laughter, of amusement, of mirth\n\nTwas a day of celebration as the creatures lined up,  \nfrom the greyest of muzzles to the smallest young pup.\n\nMany brought gifts for their beloved Queen,   \nto celebrate the future and what already had been.\n\nYear 'round it was She who created for these beasts,  \nbut now it was their turn to supply Her with treats.\n\nThe little blue bird flew hither and thither,   \nrelaying their gifts 'til the poor thing looked quite withered.\n\nSculptures and poems, scrolls with images of creatures,  \nmany fantastical beasts these images did feature.\n\nThe Queen humbly accepted these gifts from Her throne,  \nand leaned back into the giant seat made from bone.\n\nThe Queen thanked each subject for their offering in turn,   \nthough sometimes she felt they were things she'd not earned.\n\nHer subjects insisted on plying her with gifts,  \nin the hopes that their Queen's spirits might lift.\n\nThey merely wished to give Her joy like she'd given,  \nto every one of Her subjects, to all men and women.\n\nSo today they'd celebrate and make themselves heard,  \n\"Joy to the Werewolf Queen and Her Little Blue Bird!\"\n\nHappy birthday, Michelle.\n\n- Demin.\n  \n  \n\n"}
