# Dro'amoreth the Wise Author: Kythl Moonpaw Tags: Fanfiction, Khajiit #8 of Story of the Khajiit **Dro'amoreth** **The Wise and Honourable** "Sparing a life can be harder than taking one.  But a man is measured not by his willingness to kill, but his willingness to look for alternatives." -Dro'amoreth ** ** ** ** ** ** To this individual, the title says it all.  The Wise and Honourable, Dro'amoreth is the Harbinger of the Whiterun Companions and a fierce warrior in combat. Noble and distinguished, Dro'amoreth is, perhaps surprisingly, due to his age, a noted pugilist.  Perhaps the best in Skyrim, Dro'amoreth has talents with his bare hands, closed fists and extended claws, able to beat anyone in a one-on-one bout.  Did I mention he was seventy-six? At the age of sixty-eight, Dro'amoreth became the Harbinger of the Companions, being granted the legacy by the noble Nord warrior, Kodlak Whitemane.  Dro'amoreth won this honour by aiding the companions immensely and clearing the members of the circle of their lycanthropy. In combat, as stated, Dro'amoreth is a gifted pugilist.  This stems in part from how he grew up, a Khajiit child in Skyrim, partly from his claws, and another part from his knowing how to use heavy armour.  In battle, Dro'amoreth wears the heavy and dense steel-plate style of armour, which packs a mean force to the blows of his fists.  He also has a better grasp of how to use his armour, making his steel-plate superior to my Dragon Bone armour. Dro'amoreth, as his name would suggest (Dro is the Khajiiti term for Grandfather), is a grandfather.  His children, though many, are not all Khajiit.  Dro'amoreth, like the noble soul he is, adopted children as well.  His first wife, a Khajiit named Ri'kamira, who was slain by bandits, bore him a sole daughter, by the name of Azi (17).  After this, Dro'amoreth married the Nord woman Ysolda.  For the sake of space, this tome won't count the non-Khajiiti children Dro'amoreth and Ysolda adopted.  Azi, in due time, met the Khajiit Do'kharza, with whom she had three children, S'rassa (14), Dar'mhirr (15) and Dar'shaza (16).  To be precise, Dro'amoreth is not simply a grandfather, but a great-grandfather, to S'rassa's daughter Dar'isa (11). Still a powerful figure, Dro'amoreth has settled down, as have we all, in the eight years since Alduin's demise.  Still the Harbinger of the companions, Dro'amoreth is, as of this publishing, training a successor, much like Kodlak before him. Skyrim was Dro'amoreth's original home.  Currently, Dro'amoreth has never once taken a pilgrimage to warm, beautiful Elsweyr (2).  Although I think it's strange, I will not comment unduly. Dro'amoreth has established a successful farm outside Whiterun, guarded by hold guards and people of various races.  It is basically a new town in the Whiterun hold, frequently travelled to by Khajiiti merchants and other adventurers.  The settlement boasts a mill, a farm, an inn, a stable, three houses and the start of a mine.  Nicknamed by locals as Khajiitihold, the settlement is sure to endure.  Bandits occasionally attack, but they are swiftly driven back by me (6), Ma'jyrr (7), J'nari (9) and others who make their homes here.  While Ma'jyrr lives in Riften and I tend to stick around Markarth, we both can frequently be found here.  J'nari lives here perpetually and can usually drive bandits away single-handed.  Do'razzi, when not out exploring, lives and works here, which was his original cover, as a simple stableboy. Growing up in the city of Whiterun, Dro'amoreth breaks a stereotype of many Khajiit.  Big and burly, with a taste for mead and combat, Dro'amoreth even has a Nord accent, surprising many who meet him for the first time.  However, this does not prevent this particular individual from other, more suitable Khajiit, pursuits.  Like most Khajiit, Dro'amoreth is fond of Moonsugar, though not to the degree of others.  He claims it's almost too sweet. When not using his capable fists, Dro'amoreth uses a beautiful glass greatsword.  His already copious strength makes this weapon, in his hands, an impressive sight. Dro'amoreth, in combat, differs from most of us.  He, like his grandson S'rassa, tend to wade into combat, swinging blades and smashing with fists.  He'll take lots of damage willingly, so long as he gets to return even more to his foes.  Capable with his bow as well, Dro'amoreth is an accomplished archer, being able to pinpoint targets from a long range away.  Though, much like Ma'jyrr and I, Dro'amoreth has never picked up the need for a crossbow, believing the bow to be a superior weapon.  And I'd probably agree with him. If I could shoot a bow myself, that is. Dro'amoreth is a skilled hunter, knowing the mountain and wintery trails better than most of us, with the exception of a few, like Jiira, who grew up on those very trails. As a Skyrim-born Khajiit, Dro'amoreth has thicker fur naturally than most of us others and also has a fondness for the cold that Khajiit generally do not.  This added bonus makes him, like a Nord, resistant to cold in all its forms, magical or not.  Magic-wise, Dro''amoreth is...less than capable.  He can use basic healing, or a firebolt, but a more complex spell is out of his grasp. Another area where Dro'amoreth differs heavily from my sister and I, the other Dragonborn, is that Dro'amoreth has taken a huge liking to the Nord art of Shouting.  His preferred shout is the Fus Ro Dah, or the Unrelenting Force shout.  He uses this to great effect in battle, blasting trolls off mountains and bandits three feet deep into stone walls.
