 \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;He decided that it was, sitting up in the bed and gazing down at her.\u0026nbsp; She looked so peaceful and innocent sleeping there, both hands under her head as she lay on her side.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;I'm so lucky.\u0026nbsp; How did it happen again?\u0026nbsp; ...Ah, that's right, I remember.\u0026nbsp; I was sitting there, eating alone, when she walked up to me.\u0026nbsp; The Lighting of the locally owned cafe' never seemed so beautiful until it was reflected in those perfect, blue orbs.\u0026nbsp; I'll never forget what she said.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Is this seat taken?\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;It seemed such a silly way to open the conversation, but it was also very simple and to the point.\u0026nbsp; It must have been fate that we were both stood up at the same place, and at the same time no less!\u0026nbsp; Her long blonde hair seemed to billow around her head like a delicate border, flipping slightly in the light breeze from the open window and the cieling fans.\u0026nbsp; I told her she could sit down if she liked.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"So, what's your story?\"\u0026nbsp; I asked as she slid in her seat towards the table.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"...My date never came.\u0026nbsp; I'm feeling down and just needed someone to talk to.\u0026nbsp; Is that okay?\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I don't mind.\u0026nbsp; I've helped many a person with this kind of thing.\u0026nbsp; I'm terribly sorry to hear that has happened to you, but the funny thing is, the same thing happened to me too.\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"...Really?\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Yeah, no joke!\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;She went on to tell me she has been living alone for a while, just paying the bills, letting time dwindle away.\u0026nbsp; She wanted to go to school, but wasn't one hundred percent sure what to do with herself.\u0026nbsp; We spent that night talking and crying together.\u0026nbsp; We didn't really eat anything.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;She came back to my place, a small studio apartment that I couldn't really afford.\u0026nbsp; The rent was about seven hundred and fifty a month, and I was only making nine dollars an hour, part time.\u0026nbsp; It would only be mine for the remainder of the month.\u0026nbsp; Luckily, I had already found some student housing that I could afford.\u0026nbsp; Just wished I could afford the schooling to go with it.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"God, she is so beautiful,\" he whispered to himself.\u0026nbsp; It must have been a little louder than he thought, for she stirred slightly.\u0026nbsp; It was then that he noticed the wetness of tears under her eyes.\u0026nbsp; She must have known this was coming.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I know it's hard, but I'll be back one day,\"\u0026nbsp; he whispered, choking up slightly.\u0026nbsp; \"I'll be back and we can live our dreams together!\"  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;He had packed some necessities over the last week to prepare, and had already written a letter.\u0026nbsp; Among the things was a small picture of her and a little charm she had given to him for their anniversary.\u0026nbsp; He placed the letter on the table in the kitchen as he left, sniffling and stopping for a moment to look upon what he had to leave to protect.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"If I wasn't such a screw-up they would have never caught me.\u0026nbsp; ...I'll be back, I promise!\u0026nbsp; I promise!\"\u0026nbsp; he said quietly, trying to convince himself that it was true.\u0026nbsp; He had already changed their number and the listed address that he was living at.\u0026nbsp; As far as anyone knew, he was living back at that old studio apartment, still alone.\u0026nbsp; Soon enough, the latter would be true...\n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;I love you, Angela.\u0026nbsp; I always have and always will.\u0026nbsp; I was discovered, just like you always worried about, but it's okay.\u0026nbsp; I will come back one day and we can live our dreams together!\u0026nbsp; I promise!\u0026nbsp; Please, wait for me!\u0026nbsp; Please!\u0026nbsp; You are everything to me, and I cannot let you get involved or hurt by my stupid mistake.\u0026nbsp; I will not let them take me away.\u0026nbsp; I will be back!  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Forever yours,  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;David.  \n  \n\n"}
