### Remember Me

Remember me in life, not death,

recount my numbered days—

there is no sense in wasting breath

to feed a fading blaze,

Remember me in how I lived,

the colours we did share—

and light my passions yet unlived

and watch them as they flare,

Remember me in how I laughed,

don't hide your burning blush—

when humour was my only craft

I longed to make you flush,

Remember me in how I loved,

our spark that never left—

'twas born from when we met ungloved

a flame immune to theft,

Remember me forevermore,

bring poppies to my grave,

and sit beside me, like before,

and give the laughs I gave.
