Here is the result an excercise in writing that I did this morning. I asked for users on Furry Amino to give me six random words for the first sentence in a scene. I selected the user Johnny Tikitavi's words to use for this scene. As this was just an excercise meant to increase creativity, it has not been edited yet and took a total of thirty minutes to draft. Please leave any constructivs criticsms you may have. Thank you!","content":"The cheesy bread tasted slightly of salty regret. Usually food would bring him solace, but on a day like today, that was not the case. Stood up by yet another girl, I munched on the food with discontent. We had planned to meet up here at the restaurant, but hours later here I sit alone.  \n  \n\"We're closing soon. Would you like a to-go box?\" the waiter asked. The lanky feline loomed over me for a moment, waiting on my response.  \n  \n\"I'll be done in just a minute,\" I answered. \"Just give me a fe-\" I was interrupted by a large bang outside on the street. Outside of the window now sported a radiant orange glow, a nice change from the unending darkness of the hours before.  \n  \n\"What on Earth was that?\" a voice from the kitchen called. \"Is the restaurant okay?\"  \n  \nThe feline rushed over to the door while I remained seated, bolted to my chair by fear. He rushed back to the kitchen without a word, leaving me alone. A few seconds of eerie silence passed before the glass door flung open and a singed lynx walked through.   \n  \n\"Lance?\" she asked, looking in my direction. My jaw dropped from shock as I came to my senses.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \"Selena?\" She took a seat and brushed off a small flame that had started on her shoulder pad. \"It's so, uh, nice to finally meet you,\" I stumbled through my sentence. \"I was starting to, uh, think you weren't gonna show.\"  \n  \n\"And I was starting to think you would be as confident as you said you were online. You haven't spoken a single sentence to me without stopping halfway through, and your mouth hasn't closed since I walked through that door,\" she teased. I could feel my face start to turn red underneath my fur.   \n  \n\"W-well at least I was on time,\" I retorted shyly.  \n  \n\"Alright short stuff, I'll give you that. I'm sorry I'm late; my work started to pile up.\"  \n  \n\"W-what kind of j-job do you have?\" I asked.  \n  \n\"Well aren't you gonna buy a lady a drink first before interrogating her?\" she chuckled.  \n  \n\"Th-the restaurant is getting ready to close, though,\" I explained, my head tucked between my shoulders.  \n  \nShe flipped her paw at me in a prissy manner and brought it to her fur to brush away some ash. \"I don't think we'll be that much of a bother to them. Waiter?\" she called.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; The feline poked his head out from a stone column. He scurried to us, bumping into a small decorative shelf on his way. \"Y-yes?\"  \n  \n\"Does everyone around these parts have a stutter?\" she whispered to herself and laughed. \"Do you have any specials this evening?\"  \n  \n\"I-I'm sorry, b-but we're closing up.\"  \n  \n\"Ah well. Too bad.\" She looked back to me and smirked, \"How about we blow this joint?\"  \n  \nI stared at her blankly for a moment. \"Uhhh... Sure? Just n-no explosives, please.\"  \n  \n\"Don't worry. I'll only use 'em if I have to.\"  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Writing Samples","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1001993-helos-s-gift.json"}}
