# No Story Today - I'm Preparing To Evacuate

Hurricane Irma is doing it's absolute best to worst-case-scenario me.  The forecast turned from manageable to untenable overnight, forcing me to prepare for evacuation.  Unless it for some reason decides not to shift course northward or remain at high strength in the next 24 hours, I'm going to have to book it.  And I'm not liking the odds of either of those...it's still possible, the forecasts have been defied quite a bit by Irma so far, but I have to prepare for the worst.

Depending on how bad the storm's effects are, I don't know if I'll be writing or posting for some time.  I write only at home on my desktop, and if I'm not at home or I don't have power, there's no writing going on (and in general I'm not in a mood or mindset to write anyway).  And likewise with accessing SoFurry, it's strictly from the same computer.  So, uploads won't be resuming until I have the capacity to under these circumstances.  I'd like to say it'll be soon, but...last year, a category 1 took my power out for five days.  This one's now projected to be a Category 3 when it reaches us, and we're not the only ones affected.
