This is a poem I wrote at 1am a few nights ago...

Painkiller

It's shiny and brand new, clasped in my paw

My bottle of extra strength painkiller,

Acetaminophen 500mg to be exact.

Before I can think twice I've already taken two,

I'm sitting in my Chevy Cruze,

Waiting for the effects to start.

I gaze at my bottle of water,

Purified 16.9 fluid ounces to be exact,

I take it in my other paw and sip from it.

I got gelcaps,

They should work faster,

Yet I don't feel the effects.

Until twenty minutes later I'm a little jittery,

It seems like my head is tight,

Tight like it's in a vice.

Being the stupid fox I am,

I popped two more,

Anxiously waiting for the effects to counteract each other.

I drive home,

Sit down,

And start to feel shitty.

My back is hurting more than it had before,

It feels like it's coming from my kidneys,

It hurt when I went pee earlier.

I guess I should learn,

Not to take 2000mg of acetaminophen,

I am just a stupid fox after all.
