# Requiem for Darkness Part 4 Vicarious Clairvoyance

     I saw a tower, no, a spire, large and intimidating. How did I get here? Must be a dream. But it feels so real. I looked up to see someone falling. Wait, that's Sarah. "Sarah!" I screamed, opening my arms to catch her, but right as she reached me, she dissolved into darkness and consumed me, leaving only black... then there was light.  
     I opened my eyes just to slam the, shut when I saw a bright light; I opened my eyes slowly to find myself in a cave with a fire. I saw a figure approach me.  
     "Kalte?" BigZ asked tail wagging. I moaned in pain as a headache started to build. "Ugh, where am I?"  
I saw him blush as he started to talk, "A cave not too far from the village and it's safe here... are you alright Kalte... I was so worried about you."  
     Sarah is gone but... looking into BigZ's eyes, I couldn't help but give off a small smirk. "I guess, I mean physically I got some pains" that was a lie, I was fine but I didn't want him to know about me, "Mentally... I will be okay."  
     He gave me another warm smile and helped me sit up then kneeled down next to me. "I'm so happy you're okay, I was so worried! I erm... I mean... good, no injuries..." He blushed, holding my back with one paw and my paw with his other.  
     He really was sweet but still... I wonder... "Um remember... at the restaurant... I... wanted to ask you something?"  
     "Y...yes" He looked into my eyes and held my paws a little tighter.  
     "Well uh" I blush harder, "Would you... so you... uh..." I couldn't spit it out for the life of me; my mind was all a blur, "Well..." I felt like such a fool.  
     He held my paw in both of his. My heart was racing. "I have something to ask you" I saw him look away shyly, "... do... do you... love... me?" He closed his eyes, head facing the opposite direction.  
I blushed heavily; it felt like my heart stopped. This is exactly what I wanted, exactly what I waited for. I gently moved his head to face mine again, "BigZ... I love you" I kissed his muzzle tenderly. It was a sensation I have never known before. It was wonderful. The passion coursed through my body as he wrapped his arms around me.  
     As we parted he said, blushing, "I love you Kalte... ever since I've seen your beautiful face... I never felt like this before in my life... I love you so much!" He held me close to him, I could feel every breathe as he drew them.  
     I never felt as good as I do in his arms, "Right when I saw your gorgeous face, you were always on my mind, I love you BigZ, you just... make me feel alive." I gave him a quick kiss, "I need to go think, I'm sorry, I just have a lot to take in. A lot has been happening lately." I said, tail thrashing happily.  
He blushed and nodded, "I understand... I love you Kalte... I will always protect you... be careful... if there's anything you need... I'll do everything for you." He kissed me one last time before releasing me.  
     "I love you too BigZ, and remember I'm here for you too" I got up and headed towards the opening "I'll be back soon." With that, I was off.  
     I just kept walking and walking and going over the past day's events. Dad... Sarah... I've lost everyone. But now I have the most beautiful mate ever. And Sarah might not be dead, I mean... there was that dream... it seemed so... real. Either way... what is my next move?  
     I was interrupted suddenly as I felt water around my feet. I seemed to have reached a river, and it was beautiful. "Hehe, here's a good place to lie down." I said aloud. The tall grass felt so comfy and before I knew it, I fell asleep.  
     Suddenly I saw Sarah in a barrior of light, surrounded by vile creatures. "Sarah!" I yelled but nothing happened.  
     Then a voice said "It can't hold forever." I woke instantly to find a peculiar arctic fox. "Who... who are you?" I asked, still in the initial surprise.
