A heat\u0026nbsp;\n\nhaze coated the road ahead and behind him. Panting, he\u0026nbsp;\n\ncame to a halt at the end of town, standing next to\u0026nbsp;\n\nthe bright orange TransWA bus-stop. Collapsing under\u0026nbsp;\n\nthe shade of a sparsely foliaged gum-tree, he bit his\u0026nbsp;\n\nlip, fighting back tears. He sat there for several\u0026nbsp;\n\nminutes before he noticed someone running up the road\u0026nbsp;\n\ntowards him, calling his name. Clenching his fists, he\u0026nbsp;\n\nturned his back on the figure. A paw grasped his\u0026nbsp;\n\nshoulder and spun him around to face a wolf from his\u0026nbsp;\n\nhigh-school. They stared at each other for several\u0026nbsp;\n\nseconds before the wolf sank to his knees in front of\u0026nbsp;\n\nthe husky.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI'm sorry...... I'm so god damn sorry......\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe wolf clutched at the huskies shirt as he began to\u0026nbsp;\n\nsob. Tears stinging his eyes, the husky cupped the\u0026nbsp;\n\nwolfs chin and drew him up. Looking into the wolf's\u0026nbsp;\n\neyes, he gently pressed his lips against the others.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI forgive you.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAuthors note.
