I thought of you again today.

How you are, whether you're OK.

It's tough sometimes, with you so far away.

Perhaps someday, I'll have the money to come and stay.

 

I thought of you again today.

In bed I lay, with the thoughts that come my way.

Some of them stray to a roll in the hay.

I can't help but think this is far from gay.

 

I thought of you again today.

Guilt-ridden with those other thoughts, but you say it's okay.

I wouldn't be here, if I were gay.

You wouldn't offer me those rolls in the hay.

 

I thought of you again today.

Tossing and turning like a storm in May.

Then a bleep, a notification, a "hey".

My eyes light up, brow furrows, pondering what to say.

 

Perhaps for you, just a simple neigh.

Your supple coat shining, a silvery grey.

My sweet mare, my obsession.

I thought of you again today.
