There was blood all over her.\u0026nbsp; \"Pikachu, open your eyes...please!\"\u0026nbsp; Ash cried.\u0026nbsp; \"Pika...\"\u0026nbsp; She said weakly.\u0026nbsp; \"Just hold on.\u0026nbsp; Ash said.\u0026nbsp; We're almost there.\"\u0026nbsp; Ash could see the Pokemon Center now.\u0026nbsp; The large P on top of the building was a dead giveaway.\u0026nbsp; \"Nurse Joy!\"\u0026nbsp; Ash screamed as he ran through the double doors.\u0026nbsp; He had never been so frightened in his life.\u0026nbsp; What if Pikachu didn't make it?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nNurse Joy turned to him.\u0026nbsp; A look of shock spread across her face.\u0026nbsp; \"Chansey, get over here NOW!\u0026nbsp; She yelled.\u0026nbsp; Bring a stretcher!\"\u0026nbsp; Faster than he had thought possible, Chansey flew around the corner, pushing a medical bed.\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy took Pikachu from Ash's arms and laid her on the bed.\u0026nbsp; \"Is Pikachu going to be all right Nurse Joy?\"\u0026nbsp; Ash asked.\u0026nbsp; \"Shut up!\u0026nbsp; There's no time to talk!\"\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy said, pushing him aside and running into the emergency surgery room.\u0026nbsp; Ash looked down at the floor and began to cry.\u0026nbsp; His tears weren't even tears.\u0026nbsp; They were more like a gushing river that never stopped.\u0026nbsp; \"Please be okay Pikachu.\"\u0026nbsp; He whispered.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHe looked down at his shirt and hands.\u0026nbsp; They were absolutely covered in blood.\u0026nbsp; He wished Brock and Dawn were there, but they weren't.\u0026nbsp; He'd have to deal with this on his own.\u0026nbsp; Brock had gone home to help his brothers and sisters while his parents were away and Dawn had decided to take a short vacation.\u0026nbsp; Ash had assured them that he'd be all right.\u0026nbsp; Now Pikachu was going to die and it was all his fault.\u0026nbsp; He should have protected her.\u0026nbsp; He didn't have any of his other Pokemon with him, but that was no excuse.\u0026nbsp; He looked up from the ground, a rage in his eyes.\u0026nbsp; If Pikachu died, he was going to have Team Rocket's heads.\u0026nbsp; He would kill everyone in that wretched organization if it was the last thing he did!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nJust as he finished that thought, Nurse Joy came out with an angry look on her face.\u0026nbsp; \"Pikachu has been stabilized, but it will take several days for it to be fully recovered.\u0026nbsp; She said.\u0026nbsp; How could you make your Pokemon battle till it got hurt like that?!\"\u0026nbsp; \"I had no choice.\u0026nbsp; Ash said, crying.\u0026nbsp; I told her not to, but she did it anyway.\u0026nbsp; She wanted to save me.\"\u0026nbsp; \"Save you from what?\"\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy asked.\u0026nbsp; Ash told the story of how Pikachu had gotten hurt by Team Rocket.\u0026nbsp; Team Rocket had built a machine that not only blocked electricity, but it also hurt Pikachu if she used any of her electric attacks.\u0026nbsp; \"I see.\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy said.\u0026nbsp; Have you talked to Officer Jenny yet?\"\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\"She already knows about them.\u0026nbsp; Ash said.\u0026nbsp; They're attacking us constantly.\"\u0026nbsp; \"Well you should know that Pikachu almost died.\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy said.\u0026nbsp; Over 10% blood loss!\u0026nbsp; I'm really surprised I was able to save her.\u0026nbsp; If she had lost any more blood, she would have died for sure.\u0026nbsp; You should've put her in a Pokeball.\u0026nbsp; At least it would have contained the blood.\"\u0026nbsp; \"She won't go in one.\u0026nbsp; Ash said.\u0026nbsp; Even if she was dying.\u0026nbsp; I don't know why.\"\u0026nbsp; \"Well, just keep in mind that she almost died.\u0026nbsp; Nurse Joy said.\u0026nbsp; You can see her now if you want, but don't touch her.\u0026nbsp; She has sensitive medical equipment on her which, if disturbed, might aggravate her condition.\"\u0026nbsp; Ash nodded and followed Nurse Joy to the room where Pikachu was recovering.\u0026nbsp; She opened the door and beckoned him inside.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHe looked around the room.\u0026nbsp; He had never seen such sophisticated equipment before.\u0026nbsp; Then again, he'd never had a Pokemon come so close to death before either.\u0026nbsp; He looked over at Pikachu.\u0026nbsp; She was lying down on her back, breathing deeply.\u0026nbsp; She was covered in so many sensors and tubes that he could barely make out the yellow color of her body.\u0026nbsp; \"Pikachu.\"\u0026nbsp; He said softly.\u0026nbsp; Pikachu opened her eyes and looked over at him.\u0026nbsp; \"Pika!\"\u0026nbsp; She exclaimed happily, then winced in pain.\u0026nbsp; \"Are you okay Pikachu?\"\u0026nbsp; Ash asked, reaching out to touch her.\u0026nbsp; But then he remembered what Nurse Joy had said.\u0026nbsp; He was still really worried about Pikachu.\u0026nbsp; And his anger towards Team Rocket still burned.\u0026nbsp; He didn't know how long it was going to take Pikachu to recover, but he knew he wouldn't be able to rest until Pikachu was in his arms and 100% better.\u0026nbsp; I'm going to let it rest here with you until it's fit to leave.\"\u0026nbsp; \"Thank you Nurse Joy.\"\u0026nbsp; Ash said, taking Pikachu into his arms.\u0026nbsp; Pikachu seemed to be a lot better, but she was sleeping.\u0026nbsp; Ash closed the door and walked over to the bed, laying Pikachu down on it.\u0026nbsp; He then turned back to the letter on his desk and continued writing.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nSeveral hours later he heard rustling and looked over.\u0026nbsp;
