#16 of Mesozoic Park

Sorry if this part is a bit short, I was really falling behind on stuff.

We really had to rush, but before long the new enclosure was built and the temporary one could be removed using a crane that has been installed to feed the Indominus Rexs, unfortunately the trailer that we moved her on had to be left in, but she seemed to enjoy making a chew toy out of it.

Matt, Gena and I where watching the runt for a while after the escape and we found her much more comfortable in this enclosure. One day Gena asked "So she was really scared of the other Indominus?"

I gave a little nod, but noticing something was wrong I didn't give a verbal response. I started for an employees only door and checked my ID card, the door opened. "Don't follow me" I said, shutting the door behind me.

I walked down a dimly lit stairwell which lead to a small room on ground level with metal bars for a wall on one side.

The runt retreated to the far side of the enclosure, letting out a soft, whine-like growl.

Another door, this one heavily reinforced and can only be opened with my card, I had to push hard against it and could only just open it. "Come here" I mumbled to myself.

The runt looked over at me before turning her head again, seeming afraid to make eye contact.

I almost growled before saying it louder this time "Come here"

This time she stood a little and took a few side-steps closer to me before laying on the ground again.

"Come on over!" I almost shouted, the impatience in my voice made the runt sidestep within 10 feet of me before laying down. I slowly approached her with a arm out, the runt closed her eyes and put her hand over her face... My hand touched her shoulder, she slowly turned her head to face me.

The look on her face, through her ragged teeth, through the angry look that the crest gives him, through the spikes she looked like she was about to cry.

I softly pat her shoulder "you don't have to be afraid of me" I calmly stated.

She seemed to smile in response, almost looking like she wanted to play, but a game to her would probably kill me. "If only you could speak..."

A sigh escaped the runt.

"Did you understand me?"

She slightly lifted her head only to give a slight nod.

My heart skipped a beat "w-what!?" I questioned.

She nodded again, a little more excitedly this time.

I smiled and started to laugh to myself a little as ideas flooded into my head. "We need to work-out a good way for us to communicate"

She nodded again.

I pointed at the trailer "This was a trailer" I said

She tilted her head and nodded.

I walked over to the wall and said "this is a wall"

She slowly ran a claw down the wall, making a short cooing sound.

Gena shouted "What the heck are you doing?"

"She's friendly" I said "at least to me!" I turned to the Indominus Rex, who softly growled at where Gena's voice originated.

I shouted to Gena "I don't think she likes other people yet"

"What?" she asked.

The runt rolled her eyes and roared.

"Got it!" Gena said

"god!" I said "my ears!" I put my hands over my ringing ears.

With one claw, she carefully lifted a hand off my ear and tilted her head.

I took a second to respond, saying "oh, it's just that your roar is loud, it hurt my ears"

The runt seemed to understand, letting my hand go.

I looked at my watch and said "well, its your feeding time! so I'll drop ya your food and see you tomorrow"

She waved.
