Only thoughts of Rafael, of seeing him again. \u0026nbsp;Surely I was getting too far ahead of myself, but I really didn't care. \u0026nbsp;It made me happy, so happy.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe next day barely started when I woke up, the sun being barely out. \u0026nbsp;Silently I disappeared from the house without saying anything, lest I wake up anyone. I headed back to the same area where I met Rafael, it seemed like the obvious location of our meeting. \u0026nbsp;We forgot to accord a time for our meeting, but I had hope. \u0026nbsp;I was willing to wait for him all of the day if it were necessary.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nIn that area there was an abandoned dock similar to one we had back in our world, and getting there didn't take even a half hour of steady flight. \u0026nbsp;I land and sit on the edge of the dock, and already I was battling my anxiety of expectancy. \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nMinutes would pass with nothing to do. \u0026nbsp;It proved to be annoying; normally I could wander in my own thoughts and let time slip by. \u0026nbsp;This time, it was all blank. \u0026nbsp;I looked around, analyzed the ruined buildings of the complex, with their paint peeling off and the metal parts fully corroded and oxidized. \u0026nbsp;Admittedly, I got bored. \u0026nbsp;But there was no helping it, the whole chance meeting and subsequent 'date' was too impromptu.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI sighed for the nth time, then my eyes carried me to the sea. \u0026nbsp;There was something that I didn't notice before, a dolphin. \u0026nbsp;The water mammal was looking at me intently, for who knows how long.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Who are you? \u0026nbsp;What are you doing here? -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThat dolphin had opened its mouth and spoken to me. \u0026nbsp;I saw it, but I couldn't believe it.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Did... did you just talk?\" - I asked the impossible dolphin.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Come on! Don't make stupid questions here. \u0026nbsp;Answer mine first.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I'm an incubus, I'm waiting for someone.\" - The aquatic animal probably wouldn't know the first thing about what I was, so I didn't worry too much.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Hmm... looked like you? \u0026nbsp;Feathery wings?\" - It asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah ye- you were watching?!\" - I was a little wierded out, and in the back of my head I still couldn't believe I was talking to dolphin. \u0026nbsp;Maybe the boredom turned into a daydream.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, any problem? \u0026nbsp;This is my territory, after all.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Sorry... I'm just not used to talking to... dolphins.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"This might be the second time I see you. \u0026nbsp;The other guy, though; I've seen a few times.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Wait... you know him? \u0026nbsp;You know what an incubus is?\" - I hardly believed this.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Bah, what's with the stupid questions, man?\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWith that said, the dolphin submerges, then jumps out a moment later. \u0026nbsp;Only that it was no longer a dolphin, but a slender, blue haired incubus. \u0026nbsp;The wet incubus lands behind me. \u0026nbsp;He had light brown fur and his blue hair was matted and silky.\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"My name's Boto. What's yours?\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, Dose.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, I know about incubus because I am one. \u0026nbsp;I'm a blue blood, and I can control water and transform in it.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"So, you've seen Rafael before.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"He always comes by. \u0026nbsp;Never really talked to him, though.\" - Boto spoke in a much laid back manner.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI had realized that I wasn't speaking to a dolphin, but to Boto transformed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, Dose.\" - Unexpectedly, Rafael arrived moments later he smiled upon seeing me. \u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI smiled back and rushed to hug him, as tight as I could.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I've been waiting for a while now.\" - I told him.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I'm sure you have. \u0026nbsp;I couldn't wait to see you again. \u0026nbsp;Or for the first time, to be more precise.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Lovey dovey... you know that's dangerous, right?\" - Boto said with a disapproving tone.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I don't really care.\" - I said, looking at Rafael.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Me neither.\" - Rafael echoed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, whatever floats your boats.\" - Boto shrugged\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Heh.\" - Rafael chuckled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, it's time I go.\" - Boto signaled, turning on his heel towards the ocean.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Wait, what's your name?\" - Rafael remembered to ask.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Boto. \u0026nbsp;Call me if you need me.\" - With that said, Boto saluted us goodbye and dived back into the water.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nOut surfaced an orca and waved us a brief goodbye with one of its flippers.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"He's a pretty cool guy.\" - I muttered.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Seems like he could be a good friend.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"So, now that you're here... mind explaining to me how it is that you live without having touched a woman?\" - I would finally know the answer.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"There's this acquaintance of mine that studies our kind. \u0026nbsp;He made a special chemical that suppresses the hunger while providing sustenance.\" \u0026nbsp;- He explained with a brief smile.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I see.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Let's go to him now. \u0026nbsp;Maybe he can help us.\" - The angel urged.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThis time we headed northwest. \u0026nbsp;Only Rafael knew exactly where we were going, so I just held his hand as we flew above the civilization. \u0026nbsp;A while into the path, he looks at me. \u0026nbsp;He hadn't stopped smiling... I guess neither had.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"We're going to have to share a lot of details about our separate lives.\" - He commented.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, we're just starting to spend time together.\" - I reminded him.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"That's right. \u0026nbsp;But one day I hope to know everything about you. \u0026nbsp;To be able to look at you and have a conversation without saying anything.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Wow... well, we're just strangers now... but I too hope to have that kind of relationship with you.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThat certainly had me blushing for the rest of the flight.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nEventually we find ourselves hovering above a green patch hidden among the many trees of a forest. \u0026nbsp;A few yards further and a school bustles with learning. \u0026nbsp;We begin to descend, and a manhole is found on the center of the patch. \u0026nbsp;Rafael approaches it like he knows what he's doing.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Who is it?\" - Out of the manhole comes the voice of a young man, a reaction to Rafael's knocking.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"It's Rafael.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, come in.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWith that said, the manhole's lock is spun open and the valve opens. \u0026nbsp;It's big enough to fit only one of us, and Rafael first leans in and gives a look, then slowly he begins his descent down the precarious ladder.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Come on, Dose.\" - He urges.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAs we reached the basement at the bottom of the ladder, I got annoyed by the musty smell of old grime. \u0026nbsp;Broken bottles and dust and empty boxes were predominant in that dark room.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Who's your companion?\" - The young man asks.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe lad had a Hawaiian button up shirt and a slender frame under it. \u0026nbsp;He wore some green shorts and plain sneakers and he looked non-concerned. \u0026nbsp;Seemed like a nice guy, overall.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Oh, this is my partner.\" - He grabs the back of my hip and I greet\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, good.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Dose, he's Francisco. \u0026nbsp;He's going to help, too.\" - Rafael explains.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nFurther looking at Francisco, he didn't look completely human. \u0026nbsp;Something urged me to ask...\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"What are you?\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, I... I'm a half-breed. \u0026nbsp;I Cambion. \u0026nbsp;Half-Human, half-Incubus.\" - He explained with some stutter.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI had heard about them, but I never saw one until now. \u0026nbsp;He did give off mixed signals.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well.\" - Francisco leaves to the back of the room and returns with a small white box.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Say, Francisco. \u0026nbsp;Could you take us to see the doctor?\" - Rafael asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Eh, sure. \u0026nbsp;But make it brief. \u0026nbsp;You know how he's always busy.\" - Francisco mumbled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWe followed him through a series of doors and hallways that seemed almost too small. \u0026nbsp;Then we find another door on the floor which leads to a series of sewerage system. \u0026nbsp;Descending into them, we find that they are quite large, and the actual amount of sewerage or expected odors and/or grime were simply missing. \u0026nbsp;It was even cleaner than the rooms were a moment earlier.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRafael gets a good grip of Francisco as he hovers with me by his side. \u0026nbsp;Better to fly than to walk, no matter how clean it may be. \u0026nbsp;It's faster too.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Heh, thank whoever designed you for those wings you have.\" - Francisco mocked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Heheh, yeah.\" - I chuckled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n...\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWe spent some time flying through some twists and turns in the sewage system. \u0026nbsp;It struck me with a ton of curiosity.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Hey, what are these?\" - I asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"They're part of a lab built for my father. \u0026nbsp;No one knows about these.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Why are the so big?\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Seems like a spaceship could fit in here.\" - Rafael added.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, a spaceship wouldn't get out. \u0026nbsp;And I don't know why they're so big. \u0026nbsp;He just asked them to be specifically like this.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n...\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nFrancisco has us land after sometime, to another of those precarious ladders. \u0026nbsp;This one was even taller.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"If you don't mind me asking; do you take this route everyday? \u0026nbsp;It seems daunting.\" - I had to ask.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Nah, I take a train above ground, or my car. \u0026nbsp;I just took you guys through here because it leads directly to his lab. \u0026nbsp;Can't have you guys exposing yourselves too much.\" - Fernando cleared up.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWith that said, we flapped our way up the ladder, instead of climbing it. \u0026nbsp;With Francisco still in Rafa's arms, he opens the manhole that leads to the lab, effectively.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWe surfaced into a very austere room. \u0026nbsp;It was very gray and clean. \u0026nbsp;Not many trinkets sprinkled around, and it was well lit. \u0026nbsp;Once all three of us are up, Rafa closes the door.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I'll look for the Dr. You two stay here.\" - Francisco said as he took the bend in front with a hasted pace.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nPart of me wasn't sure to trust humans. \u0026nbsp;Humans were just another kind of demon... at least that's what we were taught as imps.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I can assure you can trust these people. \u0026nbsp;They won't hurt us.\" - Rafael quickly deciphered the worry on my face.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Allright...\" - I sighed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHe warps an arm around my waist and I lean against him. \u0026nbsp;I amusedly listen to his heartbeat, but then a presence disturbs my piece. \u0026nbsp;Right at the bend where Francisco vanished, a shadow was casted. \u0026nbsp;It got larger within moments, signaling that it was getting closer. \u0026nbsp;And the smell, I remembered the smell.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Dose, what's wrong?\" - Rafael turned to face the same direction I looked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I have a bad feeling, hun.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe incubus steps into the light, and it was just who I thought. \u0026nbsp;And the last one I would expect at this point. \u0026nbsp;It was Gai, and he thumped his way into our space with a devilish face.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"You, weakling friend of Sebastian's! \u0026nbsp;What are you doing here?\" - He was quick to ask in a growl.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"None of your business.\" - I growl back.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I guess not. \u0026nbsp;Heh.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI truly hate that defiant smug that poisons whatever he does. \u0026nbsp;I can only wonder what his problem is. \u0026nbsp;He stares at my angel, then he steps in front of him, disturbing his personal space. \u0026nbsp;Rafael stands his ground.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"You know what? \u0026nbsp;I hate blue-bloods like you.\" - Gai stated.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nLike an ardent flare, Rafael's eyes lit up with ferocity. \u0026nbsp;He stood firm like primordial stone and that caught Gai off guard.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I'd like to see you even try to touch me.\" - Rafael challenged.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Pfft. \u0026nbsp;What can you do?\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I can do what any demon can. \u0026nbsp;I can surely face you.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Can't you see? \u0026nbsp;I'm bigger and stronger, fool! \u0026nbsp;I'll break you!\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"You don't know who you're messing with, freak.\" - Rafael riposted.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nGai then takes his eyes off both of us and he proceeds his way, wherever that might be. \u0026nbsp;Both Rafa and I stare at his back and his strut, then I look at my lover.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Do you know what you're getting yourself into?!\" - I asked the angel. \u0026nbsp;He still looked angry.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I don't like him one bit.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Neither do I. \u0026nbsp;But we have to be careful.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAt that moment, the doctor steps in. \u0026nbsp;We both quickly place our attention on the man in the white coat.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Ah, a companion. \u0026nbsp;Pleased to meet you.\" - When he saw me, he quickly stretched his hand for me to shake the way a human would do to another. \u0026nbsp;I complied and he smiled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"My name's Oscar. \u0026nbsp;What can I do for you?\" - He then stated with much cordiality.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThis man wasn't afraid, he was pleased to see us, \u0026nbsp;and he really meant so. \u0026nbsp;His tone wasn't pretentious and his stance was relaxed. \u0026nbsp;So far, so good.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, we want to know more about our... condition. \u0026nbsp;I talked to you about this earlier, maybe you can tell him what you told me.\" - Rafael told the doctor.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Very well. \u0026nbsp;You see, son, I only know that they are indeed poisonous and corrosive. \u0026nbsp;This however is very radically different from individual to individual, but it always kills after some time. \u0026nbsp;I don't know why or how exactly, and I don't know how I will exactly find that out, but it seems that your species as a general rule is allergic to each other when it comes to extraordinary contact with the same sex. \u0026nbsp;You understand.\" - \u0026nbsp;The doctor explained very methodically, and I could follow pretty closely.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Yes, I follow. \u0026nbsp;And, what does your injection do, exactly?\" - I asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I managed to synthesize the hormones that help you get the energy you need. \u0026nbsp;It's effective in keeping you off humans for a while. \u0026nbsp;It was easy to harness since all we need is our own kind. \u0026nbsp;It's still not perfect, so you need to be careful.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, thanks for everything, doc.\" - Rafael thanked him.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Don't worry about that. \u0026nbsp;I suggest you two come here tomorrow. \u0026nbsp;Maybe we can work on something.\" -\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Sure.\" - I agreed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI took both injections and headed out the same way we came. \u0026nbsp;After a few minutes, we found ourselves back outside, high above the city. \u0026nbsp;Rafael contemplated where to go next, and I could only wonder.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Now where are we going?\" - I asked.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"I don't know. \u0026nbsp;Since we don't have to \"eat\", maybe we can relax at the docks.\" - He told me.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Well, that seems like a good idea.\" -\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nWe quickly found the dock and headed in its direction. \u0026nbsp;It was sunset, and we sat and contemplated it, Rafael putting an arm around my shoulder. \u0026nbsp;I loved the feeling of his fur with mine, and I started to wonder of how it would be to make love with him. \u0026nbsp;We spent a long while like that...\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n...\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThen the sound of flapping wings signaled that something big neared.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \"Hey, angel!
