She was tall

Had skin like fall&nbsp;

She knew she was smart&nbsp;

But that wouldn't be enough&nbsp;

She had fought for it all&nbsp;

Every minute she spent&nbsp;

She knew it would've meant

Giving it all up for him

  

Not knowing she was only part of his whim

She couldn't take the fall that was coming&nbsp;

He walked down that hall humming&nbsp;

A soft tune that she knew&nbsp;

As it gently passed through&nbsp;

Her head and mind&nbsp;

Kept it playing on rewind

  

She was valiant and bright&nbsp;

She had met her knight&nbsp;

Not knowing he would seal her fate&nbsp;

After one deadly date.

  

She spent her time&nbsp;

Looking at his face&nbsp;

Knowing this was probably a mistake

She gazed at his body,&nbsp;

Though he wasn't really a hottie.

  

She thought he was smart,&nbsp;

Not knowing he was actually dark&nbsp;

They wen't home at two&nbsp;

Knowing what they wanted to do

  

He stripped her down as they kissed&nbsp;

It was a hit and miss&nbsp;

The night of her life&nbsp;

Would soon become a heavy strife.

  

She laid in the dark,&nbsp;

After he left,&nbsp;

A one night stand&nbsp;

Wasn't anything grand.

  

She had hoped he'd stay,&nbsp;

Rather than make a move to play&nbsp;

He left her in the dark&nbsp;

Cold and stark.

  

The sun rose with a gleam&nbsp;

Though it had to seem&nbsp;

Like it had been weeks&nbsp;

since she's seen those golden streaks

  

She moved into her kitchen

Not looking for anything specific&nbsp;

She grabbed a bottle&nbsp;

sat down for a moment

  

And here came the trouble.&nbsp;

Her mind was flooded with thoughts&nbsp;

He lurked every moment of time&nbsp;

Though she didn't need to see him&nbsp;

She knew he haunted her

  

What bugs us the most,&nbsp;

No one knew that was her ghost&nbsp;

We didn't know her strife&nbsp;

Til she took her own life.
