# i dreamed

I dreamed I read an endless story  
of magic and joy and places of glory  
and by Clive's hand a world unbound  
in Brent's dark realm, another found  
I dreamed and dreamed and dreamed again  
and words flowed to and from the pen  
scales and claws and wings and tails  
fur and feathers, dark and pale  
magic and science and weapons of might  
such wondrous things, captured in sight,  
love and hate and friendship surround  
friends by feelings eternally bound,  
such smells, such sounds, such tastes galore  
how could you not desire more?  
but then all fades and pain ensues  
when comes the end to each new ruse.
