Bad events, good events as well. But a warm welcomed surprise was the story below as I found it half finished on a pendrive deep in my drawer. It was made in 2015 I spent a half day writing the frame of the story, the names of the characters and places and started the first few pages. Then I thought I lost it and had no intention to start over again so I wrote something else. But now as I found it, read it through I discovered I want to finish this Part 1. So I wrote a few pages to it, polished it here and there, made some corrections and I thought I will keep it.

Currently I had no intention to continue despite the mayor part of the Part 2 is already written, because I only made the sketch for the Part 1 and just wrote what was in my mind for the Part 2. I like the world and the characters, full with potential and life. After the "Has its Perks" it was refreshing to write something about a new fantasy world with humans, lions, magic, lust, blood, war, passion, secrets.

Oh and I wrote my first English poem as well. I hope you will enjoy!

So I wish you Happy New Year with this little something!

Ps.: It has a short scene with blood (killing a human), but I highlighted the start and the end of it for those who don't want to read it. This why I kept it just Adult not Extreme.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~6680 words and 12 pages

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
\\*\\*EDITED - 2019.jan.08\\*\\*
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
** **

**Pilgrimage**

**Part 1**

**- The Flame of the Bone Tower -**

_1.) Every adventure has a start_

I was eighteen years old when I actually realized what I was capable of. This probably won't tell you a single thing as every boy in my age thinks he has deeper knowledge of the world and everything than the others. But legally in the adulthood takes your perspective to another level. I just got out from the school and got the first slap right into my face: Here is the life kid, live!

Sure, I knew everything about physics, chemistry, mathematics and stuffs, but getting a job, paying rents, meeting my future wife, rising kids… nothing. It was the reason of the Pilgrimage, gathering some experience from the real world with real problems. Most kids learn this stuff from parents. Unfortunately, I did not know my parents as I was thrown away into an orphanage and I had to learn and fight hard to became a novice at the Academy. When I was twelve I studied Alchemy and the basics of magic. I got my First Stamp of the Magister at sixteen, two years earlier than the others. I knew everything about astrology and astronomy when a year letter I got my Second Stamp.

I thought I will be able to stand on my own feet, the help from my teachers and the little money I got because of my academic achievements. I was wrong... really and utterly wrong.

“Blood and ashes!" I sighed as I stood in the doorframe of the Academy, the backpack was in my left hand full with food, books and everything a traveler would wish for. My right hand was still on the handler, not able to release. It was my home, I lived my life among the walls. I could name all the seventeen towers, walking through the corridors blindfolded and list all the paintings on them in order.

“Don't worry Magister Anderson. It's just one year of pilgrimage." My surrogate father, William Nightflyer Grand Wizard of the Academy and the Keeper of the Seven Crystals… I know, long title, he earned it, but back to the topic… told me. He slowly stepped next by me and put a hand onto my shoulder. He embraced me when we first met, encouraged me and supported me to learn more and more. He was the only one person that I trusted with my life and knew he won't let me down no matter what. Like a father. But the Academy has its own rules, so he couldn't be my father really, just a mentor.

“One year of traveling, working, living like anyone, sounds like a life time to me." I sighed again.

“To a young person like you maybe. To me it's just like that" He snapped then smiled at me. He was three hundred years' old which was respectable even among wizards. He was talented from young age and learned faster than anyone before… like me. Still I was too young even for the easiest spells and enchantments. He had faith in me but somehow I was too afraid to earn success. Every time I tried and I felt the Source of the Magic, the panic hit me. I had no idea why.

“I'm sure you will be fine. Just avoid the warzones, remember what you learned." He advised but I wasn't stupid. There was a war ongoing for two decades between the Kingdom of Three Valleys and the Empire of Copperhill. The Academy was neutral deep in the Iceland just like the strange people of the Sacred Forests. I was lucky as I got my admission to school at young age or I would have been enforced to become a soldier from age fourteen. Which would have been eventually ruin my carrier as a Magister, and maybe later as a Wizard.

“I will do. Thank you William." I shook his hand, drop my bag onto my back and hit the road which will lead to wherever it leads. The first rule of the pilgrimage is that you have to go wherever the Gods will take you.

“Good luck Eric." He cried after me.

_2.) Not according to the plan_

Someone was sprinkling water onto my face suddenly, when I realized I wasn't conscious for Gods know how long. My thoughts were flying around my head like disturbed bees and I wasn't able to catch them. The last memory of me was that I payed the room I was spending the night to the innkeeper when I left the territory of Iceland for a week, then something hit my head.

“What?" I sighed miserably. The pilgrimage was going well for two weeks but it wasn't a surprise. I wore the Medallion of the Academy which opened the doors everywhere in the Iceland. Unfortunately, I had to visit the neighbor country the Empire of Copperhill. They had beautiful forests, rocky mountains, waterfalls everywhere, which made it a nice place. Too bad they weren't hospitable to the outsiders no matter if you are two or four legged. This was the main reason of the war between them and the other neighbors.

“Wake up!" A woman shouted at me then I got another dose of cold water, this time my eyes were popped open.

The situation wasn't the best I admitted after a second of coughing; I was tied to a tree, completely naked. In addition, there was at least twenty Lions around me in armor seemingly ready to kill every human being. I was a human being, but not like the next five men also tied to the trees, I wasn't their enemy.

I loved the tales of the strange creatures from the Kingdom of Three Valleys, they were huge cat like beasts, walking on four, but capable of useing items, grab things. They had their own language, culture, literature, music, paintings. According to the books they were here in the continent sooner than us, they conquered every valley and mountain before they returned to the heart of the kingdom. They called themselves Lions.

I was reading those books like a thirsty would drink the water. I thought they are passionate and sentimental but at the same time they were cruel and ruthless. This duality of their nature got me, made roots of curiosity grown into my mind. I was only a boy but the paintings and the pictures of these beautiful beasts made my heart throbbing faster and faster in lust. I hoped that my pilgrimage will lead me to them… but not like the way it happened.

The lioness in front of me was already covered in blood, probably she killed someone before me. I knew I will be the next victim, silently scolded myself because if I would be able to use the Magic I learned for years, I would be able to prove; I'm not their enemy. The folks in Copperhill hated the Lions because of the long war between them, they thought the four legged beasts are disgusting, unholy, only good for target practice and torture someone to death. Which led to the fact, Lions use to torture, mutilate and kill humans from Copperhill when they got the chance. Iceland was neutral, 'but if I say I'm from there they won't believe me. Humans use to lie.' My brain was whirling on the goal to survive.

The mentioned lioness slowly stood to her hind legs, which caused me to look up in awe; she was at least eight and a half foot tall that way, then she put a paw onto my naked chest, another next by my head and leaned to my face. I was ready for the tearing claws or the penetrating fangs, but she just licked her muzzle.

“What is your last wish?" She told me on the common language. Everybody could speak that language more or less. The stories told me it was the invention of the merchants so they could make the deals, sell and buy everywhere in the continent. I had a sudden and strange idea.

“I would like to kiss you. May I?" I said on the Lion language as I was fluent in it… just like in every other language of the continent. I know how it sounds like, but learning them was like a good brain teaser. She was surprised which was obvious.

“A kiss from me?" She asked back not switching from common. Her eyes were wide opened, small smile was hiding in the corner of her mouth. She must have thought I was joking or something. She released her claws to my chest, not braking my skin yet. The Predator was ready to kill.

“I would ask more, but I don't know if I can." I told her the truth as I read in the books they can smell the lies of the humans with their incredible senses. I was still speaking her language, which probably caused another dose of suspicion. Then she leaned closer to the right side of my face and whispered into my ear.

“What more would you ask?" Her whiskers were tickling my chin and neck, the weight of her body made me trembling in fear. She had the strength to pull out my spine through my chest without breaking a sweat. I thought the events turned to the direction that could cause my survival… but my slow and painful death was still on the table.

“A passionate night with you, in a bed, with candle lights around us." I whispered into her ears pointing towards me. I tried my best to sound like I just made a romantic offer, which actually I did. She pulled her head away from me and looked at me with cooked head. She was sniffing, did not break the eye contact for a minute at least. I suspected, she tried to get me on lying. I was still shaking in fear so I had no idea what she was able to pick up from my mixed signals.

“Fuck you monster!" Someone shouted at the next by tree and I twitched a big one, got my eyes on the man restrained. He was spitting into the face of a big maned lion, who just waved to a female. That lioness did not waste any time, lunged forward to the naked male and attacked his genitals. A quick bite, some pulling force and he wasn't a male anymore. The big maned lion suddenly got his paws onto the crying human's chest, digging all the claws into the flesh and with a simple movement he pulled open his ribs; with fatigue like I would just open a book. The blood freezing sound of the ripping tendons, the braking bones and the shriek of that man almost made me cry and prey for my quick death.

“Look at me." The lioness pulled me back from the scene in time so I wasn't able to see the lion who started to eat the internals of that man. I was ready for the similar fate when I looked back into the amber eyes of my future executioner. “Just to make it clear." She switched to the lion language. “You want to have sex with me this night. This is your last wish, right?" I just nodded a thousands times as I was afraid that I will puke if I open my mouth. “Hmm… All right then." She said and left me there.

“Will you give me that honor?" I was taken aback after I pulled myself together. I was expecting death in the next minute but if I understood her correctly, she will have sex with me tonight… then… much could happen till that time.

“Yes I will, I promise. I use to fulfill unexpected last wishes." She looked at me, measuring me from toe to the top of my head. “Give me five minutes and bring him to my tent." She gave the order to another lion.

_3.) The words are the best weapons_

She was in a small tent, not bigger than three steps in every direction. There were only a few blankets at the other side on a makeshift bed, a small table with a flask, a knife and a flower in vase. On my left side a small cabinet on short legs; only two drawers, and a book, a fancy dagger. It was obvious that she used to spend her time somewhere else, but still, it looked like a comfy little place to have some rest.

“Nice tent." I whispered still not knowing what should I do. Of course I was excited about the upcoming love making with that magnificent creature, but on the other hand it would be my last action in my life. I have so much to learn and do, so much to live and experience. I hoped I will be able to convince her not to eat me. Before that I have to prove myself good in the bed, thought I was only once with a girl. And she was a human, not an animalistic beast.

“Sufficient. I will come back after ten minutes. Wait here, do not leave the tent!" She stood up and passed me in hurry. I had no clue what should have I done so I grabbed the flash, drink a little and refilled the vase with some water, then I went to the book.

“Source of the Light – By Zachary Howling" I read the tittle and the author. I knew that one, it was a good book about how a wizard can use the Source of the Magic to make the elements move. It also had a few chapter on Alchemy precisely on transmutation of the elements. Like how to transform the stone into water. One of my early books.

“Found something interesting?" Her voice made me realize that I sat onto her bed and I turned a few pages. I quickly stood up, put it back onto the cabinet.

“Sorry. This is a fantastic book. I did not know it was translated to your language." I admitted, when I noticed she was naked; she did not wear her armor anymore. Her body was muscular and full with scares from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. She must have fought terrible battles with not just humans. I saw claw marks as well; they fought for the ranks with each other if they wanted to earn it earlier than they would in a normal way.

“So you can read not just speak. Interesting." She stood in front of me. Her head was in the level of my chest. I did not know if she was bigger than the rest or it was an average size for these creatures. Did not matter as I was still really afraid. She probably sensed this as she smiled at me but only with the corner of her mouth. “I promised you that I will fulfill your last wish. So till tomorrow morning, you don't have to fear me…" She nodded. “Unless you are up to something." She looked to the dagger next by the book and frowned.

“Did I do something wrong?" I asked as she was obviously thinking hard.

“You watered the flower and grabbed the book." She told me and looked into my eyes. I just blinked a few as I lost the thread. “There was a knife and a dagger in your reach and you did not even touch them, not even with a finger." She continued.

“I don't understand. Why would I touch your knives?"

“Because a human from Copperhill would do that." She pointed to the fact so I thought It was the time for the complete honesty.

“I'm from Iceland." I admitted which made her step one farther, like she would see me for the first time. Maybe she did.

“Really? From the mountains of the ice and cold? From the never-ending frozen lakes?" She switched to my native language the Icelandic. She had some accent but she was good in it surprisingly.

“We don't have never-ending lakes and not everything is frozen everywhere. They are just rumors. We have green forest and valleys with colorful flowers as well." I answered with my language which made her surprised again.

“You are getting stranger minute-by-minute." She sighed again in Lion language. “Can you speak the Copperhill too?" She asked suddenly.

“I can speak any known language." I admitted, rubbing my hands in embarrassment. I did not know why as it was something I was proud of.

“How old are you?"

“I'm eighteen."

“Oh… and the picture had formed." She sighed, stepped to me giving a lick to my belly. Her tongue was rough; I did not expect that much roughness from the books, despite the fact they were able to skin a human with only licks. “You are on your Pilgrimage from the Academy." She concluded and I dropped my jaw. She is brilliant!

“Yes! Thank the Gods! I thought you wouldn't believe me if I would have told you earlier!" I knelt to her and hugged her quickly. I felt her claws on my back in the next second, but after I did nothing else, she only patted shortly.

“Sorry for that! I hope that means you won't eat me after all. My name is Magister Eric Andersen, from the Academy. I'm an Icelander." I introduced myself and I wasn't that relieved in my entire life.

“A Magister? That means you have your Second Stamp, but you are only eighteen." She looked uncomprehending and suspicious again.

“Well… I'm… really smart." I admitted, smiled apologetically. Swagger was never my virtue. She nodded slowly and I saw something in her eyes. It was a glimpse of an emotion I would probably never understand, a predator, a blood lusting beast was raring up its head, looking out from her amber eyes for the fragment of a second.

“I have never eaten smart humans before." She said with a smile her fangs were peeking out. I swallowed a big one. I think that was the moment what the poet defined; 'Straight from the Heaven, right to the Hell.' She probably saw that I went white again. “I think maybe next time." She added witch was a weak reassurance. She should work on that more.

_4.) Moving the world among the sheets_

My strange companion was… well strange. She could say things and done things I thought she was kind and maybe even funny, then on the other hand she was able to froze my blood and make my ankles shake with only a look or an unexpected word. I quickly understood the duality what I read in the books. They were the Two Faces of the Death as my favorite writer once said.

I have faces, two of them
One is coal one is gem
But who will I be at the end?
The foe or the friend?

I said the first lines of that poem he wrote in one of his books. The lioness just picked up her head as he was a Lion Writer so it was in her language. She smiled on me so I thought I should continue; the night was falling on us slowly, the candles were already lit.

Two the whispers in my ears
One is kind, one is fierce
Two the hearts in my chest
Wish for hunting, wish for rest

Two the needs I'm craving for
Lust and Love, Pain and Roar
Two the lights in my eyes
One is foolish one is wise

In my stair you will see
Neither of will ever flee
Who will win at the end
The foe or the friend?

I finished the small poem which I understood now as I was looking in her ember eyes. There was the predator, the beast lusting for blood, killing, wanted to sink its claws into the flesh, tearing the limbs off from anyone. But there was the other side of her; the creature wanted to know the world, the one who can cry reading sad books. The one who can spare innocent lives, who can lick your wounds and whispering you that everything will be all right. She was neither, because she was both. This duality truly amazed me.

“I knew this poem. The book is the Enchanted Castles of the Goddess. One of the best books I have ever read." She smiled at me and I knew whatever will happen after the night, she was like a mirror of myself. She was a killer, sure. A predator, of course. But she had the thirst for knowledge, she had read many books, she had the curiosity I born with too. Probably she was a wizard or witch as well. But I did nothing despite I caressed her cheek as the last light of the day vanished under the blanket of the stars on the sky. It was the time for her promise, for my last wish.

“You have to know this is my first time." I admitted when she laid to her bed. My sudden confession surprised her. “I may need some… advise here and there." I added quickly proving I'm not completely idiot, just a little uncertain.

“Humans." She sighed, patted the bed next by her. “Lay here, open your legs and let me excite you a little." She looked at my half limp cock. Though It was the moment I was dreaming for since I read the first book about lion anatomy, I was too excited and afraid because of the circumstances. I kept reminding myself about that she is a deadly beast with huge claws and fangs. With the ability to tear off any of my limbs without breaking a sweat, honestly she would happily chomp off them one-by-one.

Really soon turned out what she meant by exciting me a little. As soon as I was laying in front of her with spread opened legs, she lunged forward with opened mouth, bared fangs and engulfed my cock within a blink. I couldn't even yell in surprise it was so sudden. If she did that to excite me, she was doing it wrong as I was sure in the moment she took my penis within that deadly weapon, she called mouth, my member shrank to microscopic scale. I thought she will just bite it off and then eat me like they eat that poor bastard when we met.

The first shock slowly faded away under the sounds of slurping and squelching when I realized my penis was still attached to me. Moreover, something incredible was happening with it! The warm and moist environment was moving, massaging and sucking it to its full size really fast. I did not understand how she gave me that amount of pleasure with the sandpaper like tongue, but she did. It was the first time someone was munching on my spear. Not just someone! A Lioness!

“You are amazing!" I sighed, the fear and shock completely dissolved from me as I patted her head meanwhile she released my 'action-ready' cock.

“I use to torture humans with this technic." She remarked but I wasn't surprised that much after the day we spent. I just quickly skipped it and brought up the topic:

“How do you want me to…" I hesitated. I almost said 'fuck you' but it would be rude, which isn't me. 'Mate with you' sounds silly.

“Penetrate my pussy?" She helped me with a combination haven't crossed my mind, so I just nodded. She had her idea, probably I wasn't her first time, and she turned around, laid onto her back, legs wide open. I had a great view and a perfect access to her lady parts. As I was expecting because of my books, she had a tiny black entrance, with some pink at the middle, surrounded by tawny fur. But books cannot prepare you for the step I was about to take.

I knelt to her aligned myself for the task, pressed my glans onto her small lips. I haven't realized how small was that black protrusion just when I was about to penetrate it. I had sudden doubts but as I looked at her for the confirmation, she just nodded and smiled at me. I was still not believing that I was about to make love to that big, furry lady of death. My heart was racing in my chest and I was choking on the air it was so filled with my lust.

The lips parted easily, like they were made from jelly, I didn't have to force it. I couldn't blink one and my tip was already inside. Oh the heat and the surrounding tightness was amazing. They were only a few degrees warmer than the humans but I couldn't imagine that means so much when you are about to sex with something this higher body temperature. It meant a lot as I slid myself inside slowly into that oven of pleasure. The first muscle ring I left was around an inch inside, the ridge of my glans bumped on it which made shivers in my spine. The second wasn't that much farer and I was only half way in. She made them contract and release my rod, like she was about to hurry me. It was like a sudden shock of heat and pure bliss.

When I pushed myself further inside, something else happened, the tightness increased, just like the number of muscle rings. I realized from the anatomy books she had tapered shape canal, perfectly fit to a lion male genitalia. It caused my organ almost cry in joy because when I reached the end it applied so much pressure and heat onto my glans I thought if she moves just a whisker I will fill her hungry pussy with my semen in an instant.

“Are you enjoying yourself?" She smiled at me when I realized I was choking because I didn't even take a breath since I started my exploration.

“I won't be able to hold myself back for too long. You are like a dream come true." I confessed panting like I ran all day long, despite I only moved seven inches from the lips of her pussy to her depths. I looked back to our connection and shook my head in disbelief; I was balls deep inside of a lioness's vagina, which she offered me willingly.

“Do you want me to move? Or will you do the hard working?" She asked and sighed. Probably she enjoyed it but I doubt she enjoyed as much as me. Her question was tricky as I was sure if I have to withdraw myself I will blow my load halfway out or on the next inward movement. So I let herself the task to do something else then froze motionless in the sudden pleasure-shock, like me.

“Move please. I'm afraid if I do it I will ruin the night." I confessed again. She laughed up happily and leaned back to me, licking my face. She was amazingly stretchy like… well… every feline.

“It will make the same effect, but all right Eric. Brace yourself." She whispered to me and laid back, closed her eyes.

I think I cried up in surprise, but I'm not sure anymore; Her vagina became a pit of whirling snakes, those muscles rings I left behind tensed and released, the whole tapered shape canal contracted and made itself even warmer, lubricated itself with transparent fluids. She enjoyed this attack of my senses and my penis as she moaned, bared her teeth, clawed the bed under us, but honestly I wasn't prepared when she made a growling sound.

That was my sign to quit, the mark at the end of the road. When her clenching walls, contracting muscle rings started to resonate, I gave up the fight to last longer and longer. I cried up in surprise and the mixture of pleasure, spurting my sperm deep inside of her perfectly shaped predator body. I felt my hip muscles tensed so much it started ache but I was still emptying everything I had. Like I was storing my semen for years just to give her eventually. She yowled with me, making my penis into a mush of meat, blood, cum and her body fluids. Or at least I felt in that moment that it embedded into her forever.

I collapsed onto her stomach, I was so done with everything; gasping for air with closed eyes, soaking in sweat, shaking in the after quakes of the pleasure and the weakening twitches of her canal. She reached me around with the paws, making soft growling sounds while licking my head gently. I think she purred her pleasure to me. I was the happiest man on the world.

_5.) Sometimes becoming food makes the life interesting_

At the morning I was waking up for a strange feeling. It was vibrating in my bones and as I slowly sat up on the bed, inside of the tent, I realized my hand had bluish-purple lights mowing inside, under my skin. The water and the flower was floating in the air, just like every small object. I was using the Magic, I felt deep inside of me that I was connected to the Source. That time it wasn't frightening, it was natural like breathing, walking or drinking. That realization made me smile, but then everything fell to the ground. I quickly turned to my night companion but she wasn't there. It was a big relief. She probably thought I was learning to be an Alchemist not a Wizard. Being one was rare, let's say one in every then thousand student has the slightest talent to become a wizard. Well, every wizard was starting as an Alchemist so the talent wasn't recognized every time. William thought I was afraid of the Magic because I was too young to realize what it was. The Source was the moving spring of everything. It made the sun rise at every morning, it caused the storms, made the water flow and so on. It was Everything therefore a Wizard could do everything by using the Source. Despite the fact if you were using too much Source you could became insane, rot alive or just burst in flames and die. It was dangerous to experiment with Magic that was the reason why it was restricted by rules and laws everywhere. In Copperhill they made it simple; If you have the slightest talent, you will be executed. Icelanders were more enlightened, they tried to teach you how not to do harm or kill yourself and everybody around you with magic. That was the reason of the Academy. Lions thought the magic was a gift from their Goddess so the few magic users were, as they called them; Touched by the Goddess. They quickly become leaders of their religion. But magic user lions were rare, I mean really rare. One in every hundred million rare.

The last day was the day of my first ones. First time I met with Lions. First time I got a blowjob. First time I had sex with a lion and now the first time I used magic. The pilgrimage was definitely going on the right way. Well, if my last night mate will not eat me eventually.

“Oh, you are awake. Good." She suddenly stepped inside then saw the stuffs laying all-round the ground.

“Don't ask. Please." I went ahead of the questions. She shook her head.

“All right. Come on." She waved me out with her paw. I took a deep breath and followed.

Yesterday I wasn't able to examine where I was exactly. I still only have a few fleshes after I got a hit on my head near at the inn. The landscape though was amazing; we were somewhere near at the border of the two country not far from the Giant's Tears Waterfall, a little norther there was the Dragon Horns, tall rocks with reddish color and behind them the City of the Gods. My legs rooted to the spot and I wasn't able to brake my eyes away from the landscape. The whole city was made from white stones, which was glistering under the rising sun, like it was built from pure light. The golden towers of the Seventeen Gods just highlighted the mightiness. We were still far from it, but I was mesmerized. The capital city of the religions from all the countries. Every God and Goddess has a temple there, even the ones were forgotten or forbidden. I just read about the golden and marble bridges, the craved walls full with religious events, the altars in every street, the monasteries and the knight estates… the city of wonders.

“Will you move please? We don't have all the day." I slowly turned my head away from the marvelous view.

“For what?" I asked just to distract my thoughts as well and start walking with her.

“We want to eat." She just said and I rooted to the spot again.

“Me?" I asked with rising fear in my voice. I hoped that after the first little misunderstanding and after the events of the night she will spare my life. Maybe my hopes were high. I quickly reached for the Source of the Magic, despite the fact I only knew a few low tier spell which would probably make her only angrier and not run away in fear. Some levitation of objects, weak control over elements and obvious illusions wasn't a weapon against a battle-hardened beast. I was just starting to read about middle tier magic but it was extremely complicated already. Not to mention the higher tier spells like Reality Shifting, Dimensional Folding, Transmutation of Creatures, Creational Curses, Mind Altering, Cold Flame or Ever Flame and so on. They were the spells I would need to defeat a gang of lions. Not tricks can make the folks look awe in fairs.

“See for yourself." She shrugged and went ahead. I swallowed a big one and followed her steps.

It was a small camp, surrounded with lions on rugs. There was a small fire in the middle and a cauldron steaming above. The smells were stew probably from an animal, but because we were talking about man eaters I couldn't be sure. Not far from that point there were two chariots packed with boxes and textile, treated wood poles. I thought they were ready to go after a little breakfast. I was still not convinced about my role in their breakfast plans so I slowly went closer when my lioness patted a place next by her. On the other side there was a huge male with dark, rich mane.

“Good morning." I welcomed them as I wasn't a discourteous bastard and sat to my place. The male lion showed a bowl into my hand with the stew and a slice of bread. I was really surprised. “Thank you." I said automatically he just nodded and grabbed on another bowl half empty.

“Don't worry. It's wild hog." A lioness from the other side of the fire, were stirring the stew with a wooden spoon told me. The situation was so strange it took me a minute to realize I was really hungry, so I started to eat. They did not use any spice only a little salt but it was delicious. There was a huge amount of vegetables and I recognized some fruit in it as well. The stew was everything a traveler would ever need, like a horse kick; Vitamins, minerals, fat, salt. It will make you persistent.

Meanwhile I eat the delicious food I listened for their chatting. My lioness was talking with a male next by her about the condition of the armors. Then she gave orders to a younger lioness to check the chariot wheels because she did not want to lose them on the road to the City of the Gods. Then I looked to my other side. A male was complaining about the men killed yesterday; he wanted to eat the at least one heart but he only got some bony arms. I quickly turned to another group of two males and a female. The female looked beast like with a huge scar on her face, coming from the left side of her nose, going right to her nape. I couldn't even imagine how she survived a wound like that. She was trying to convince the two younger males that she killed more than two hundred humans. The two wasn't believing her which lead to a debate. Strangely no one was taking more than a glimpse of me.

“It was delicious. Thank you." I raised the empty bowl to the lioness cooking.

“You are welcome." She said with a smile. I could stand the situation without a word so far.

“What is happening here? I thought you will eat me today, not feed me." I asked My lioness. She gave me a lick on my cheek before she answered.

“We are friends of the Snow-dwellers like you, moreover you are a Magister of the Academy." She explained which had more sense but still not much for me. “All right lazy kittens!" She suddenly stood up and shouted to the others. I twitched. “Pack up! Five minutes and everything should be on the chariots or on your back!" Then she waved me away from the whirlwind of lions. So she probably was the leader of the pack.

“Eric, I will give you your cloths back and some food for the road. You can come with us to the city or go to your own trail. I would be happy to accompany you." She poked my naked chest with her nose. I took it as a gentle gesture.

“I would happily go with you. I guess you will not eat me after all." I rubbed her cheek.

“No, we won't. That would be against the rules of our king." She said. Good to know there are rules against eating people like me.

“May I know what is your name?" I asked while someone gave me a pack of cloths and a bag full with stuffs I left behind.

“My name is General Clarissa Blood-drinker." She introduced herself with a little bow. It was impressive as I had sex with a General. “But probably you know me from my other name." She continued while I dragged my shirt over my head and pulled up my pants.

“What name?" I helped her as she stuck and was thinking about something. Probably on the fact that I may not know her other name.

“Flame of the Bone Tower." She rattled off quickly like it would have been a name she wasn't proud of. I did not blame her as my jaw landed on the ground. She wasn't just a lioness, a general, but a legend. She was a Sorceress and a Warrior who killed the Hordes of Hounds, a bunch of powerful dark wizards. She hunted down and killed every single Blood-Mage of her country with the Sisterhood of Fangs. She captured back the Bone Tower, an ancient school of the Wizards and Witches, all alone from The-Night-Who-Feast-On-Souls a dragon was summoned from the Cold Fire, then she killed it, no one knows how and ignited the Flame of Pure Light back at the top of the tower. From that moment she was known among magic users as the Flame of the Bone Tower. She was the symbol of hope in Iceland. But according to the legends, she vanished deep into the Sacred Forests.

“It is an honor to meet you… ehm…" I was hesitating before her name. Calling her Flame sounded silly for a second.

“Clarissa will do. Nice to meet you Eric." She just nodded and went away, left me in shock. She was really good in it.

“This Pilgrimage will be the best thing in my life." I sighed, grabbed my bag and jogged after her.

The End
