 We met by happenstance. A lucky roll of the dice.

All because of a person, with a heart made of ice. 

He broke us both, then left us alone.

I had felt, that I had been turned to stone.

But there you were. As miserable as I.

We found comfort in one another. Stood side by side.

Soon friendship blossomed. Smiles replaced tears.

We worked together, and washed away our fears. 

Till one day I said I loved you, and I saw you hesitate.

It took some time but you came around, there was no mistake.

Now days have turned to years. Every one, a dream come true.

I could never see myself with any other. No one, but you.

And one day we'll walk, hand in hand. Wearing each other's golden band.

You can call it destiny, or even call it fate. I'm just surely blessed to have you as my mate.

Our story is just beginning, and I can't wait to see it through.
