Marked extreme for biting and blood loss.
\\*Knock
Knock Knock\\* “Who is it?" I sing songed.

“Plumber!" a deep male voice called from the other side of the door. It was a voice I thought I recognized.

“I didn't call a plumber…" I muttered to myself. “Maybe Arkon…"

As if reading my mind, the voice on the other side, “Arkon called me."

I nodded. I opened the door. And my jaw dropped. There stood a seven-foot-six Mako shark anthro, leaning against the hallway wall with one hand. Fully nude
with the exception of a toolbelt that graced his slight hips, the other hand, holding it up. His claspers dangling past his knees without being excited. His
long-ass tail coiled at his feet. His blue and white skin looked dripping wet. As I watched water dripped from the tips of his claspers and from his knees and
elbows. “Arkon…," this shark was my roommate.

He chuckled. Causing me to look up. In his tooth-filled maw he held two red roses his lips rising in a slight smirk. It was like some crazy scene out of some gay soap opera. He took them out of his mouth with his webbed hands. He held them out to me, a light blush coloring the denticles underneath his beautiful green eyes. “Uhm, may I come in?"

“Uh…. Oh. Yeah. I mean this is _our_ place. Right?" I said, having completely missed the gesture with the roses, so caught up was I with the shark's dangly bits.

“Yeah." He stepped in, his alien, webbed feet leaving bizarre, dark shapes in the carpet.

“Dude, did you go swimming?" I asked distractedly, noticing, more the dripping wetness of his claspers than what his wet feet were doing to the floor.

“Oh, right. Yeah. It was dry today. Had to stop by the beach on the way back from the store."

“And the 'nude, sexy plumber' getup?"

“Well, Buck. I've been meaning to propose this for a while. We've been friends since, like, grade school. You were there for me when my parents kicked me out at sixteen. You stuck with me when I told you I liked males. Hell, you've been with me through it all."

“Yeah…" I replied, having a pretty good idea where this was going. The Mako had been a friend of mine for almost fourteen years. We'd been through thick and thin together. I was sure he was going to ask to do something sexual with me. I wasn't quite sure if _I_ was ready for this. Even though my dick was straining to tell me I should go for it. The bastard was as hard as steel and pushing my jeans up into a prominent tent.

“You were my crying shoulder through Benny. Jake. Rickey. But I don't think I've once seen you ever in a relationship."

There it was. The plain-as-day observation. The one he'd finally had the wherewithal to see for himself. I was mad for him. Had been since middle school, though I was afraid to admit it. Even now. Knowing the shark could sense my quickened heartbeat. Smell my musk. Practically see the
electrical storm that was my brain in this moment, and I still couldn't voice the one thing that my heart requested of me.

This beautiful creature. Who'd shown me such kindness, belying his bestial visage. He had basically confronted me about something I'd been mulling over the last six months. Living with him, well that had been the final piece of the puzzle. Despite some minor spats we'd been able to live with each other for the last six months without killing each other. Or losing our friendship. That was the last piece of the puzzle that needed to be put in place for me to fall head-over-heels madly in love with this damned shark. But my fear. My upbringing. Hell, the thought of the neighbors next door. Held me back from voicing the truth.

“You love me, Buckley Henderson. And I've realized I feel the same way about you." He held out the roses again. I'd forgotten about them. Given the two very large distractions swinging between his legs.

I grabbed them from him, threw them aside, and rushed the big lug. Hugging him with all my might and straining up to kiss him on the tip of his muzzle. Stunned for a moment, the shark just stood there, me clinging to him for dear life as if he were a life raft in a raging Pacific storm. There was irony in that metaphor. And it wasn't lost on me. Finally, the anthro moved his arms to envelop me and he moved to nuzzle me. The tip of his muzzle tousling my hair. I felt a rough kiss grace the crown of my head. Then the damned Aqua-Fur moved his hands to cup my ass and lift me into the air. My legs almost automatically wrapping around his thin waist.

“So, I take it, then. That you agree to this?" He asked in a near whisper. His baritone making it louder than he probably meant it to be, “You know I'll bite when I start, right?"

“Just be gentle?" I said, questioningly.

He quirked his eye-ridge, “Here. Come to my room." He dropped me, grabbed my hand then led me by the hand to his room, sat me down on his bed. Then he went to his closet. Something he had two pieces of clothing in: a wetsuit and a suit jacket made of neoprene. Being aquatic meant that he needed to keep his skin wet. On a shelf above the hangers' rod was a device which I was surprised he wasn't wearing. Typically, the gilled Aquatics needed a device which functioned much like a rebreather continuously oxygenating the litre of water which was held within. Arkon had told me once, that he could survive above water without the Regiller™ for a few hours here in the humidity of
Florida. Apparently, it wasn't as uncomfortable as we air-breathers would have thought. He grabbed the device and slapped it on without even really thinking about it. Then he dug in the back of the shelf. He pulled out something that looked like it belonged in a medieval exhibit in the museum. Chain mail. “Put this on over your shirt. It's not exactly the most comfortable thing, but it's better than a trip to the hospital for you and jail for me." And then he threw the chainmail shirt at me.

“Uh…"

“C'mon Buck. Put it on." He nearly begged. “So we can get it on." He added lightly.

I threw the shirt on. Right before Arkon pounced, pinning me to the bed and before I really knew what was happening, my pants were a crumpled heap at the foot of the bed and I had the strange sensation of the first six inches of his clasper sinking within my hole. “Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!" I cried out. I couldn't help it. He'd sunk in so quickly that I'd not had any opportunity to adjust to the girth of it. And boy was it girthy. He was using one and it felt like he was tearing me apart. A second later and I was glad for the chainmail as Arkon's teeth sank into the metal shirt at my shoulder. I felt only pinpricks. He thrust, another few inches sinking in. And again. Slow going the process was, but before either of us truly expected, the telltale slap of denticles against skin resounded throughout the room. He'd bottomed out. I'd managed to take at least fourteen inches of beer-can-thick shark meat up my rear end.

The shark didn't wait. He receded a minute amount and slammed back in, getting me to cry out. He did it again, and I cried out again. And again, my cry turning into a low moan, as his hips found their rhythm. Much like his feral cousins, it was slow and brutal. Hammering away at my prostate as his strong jaws strained against the chain mail of the shirt. A piece of clothing that I was thankful for now that I saw why he'd given it to me.

The shark's pace had me languishing in pleasure, occasionally calling out when one of his thrusts gave a particularly hard prod of my prostate. And all too soon I could feel the low burn of my orgasm rising from the depths of my groin, “It's coming!" I managed, before shooting. Being that I was on my back, and he was hunched over me, it wasn't a big surprise to hear the splatter of viscous seed against hard, muscled skin. I coated the sharks ventral side in my seed, my orgasm feeling more powerful than any I'd had before.

Soon enough I heard him grunt, and then I felt a spreading warmth come from my anal passage as he flooded my depths with his viscous, copious seed. I could have sworn I heard the creaking of the chain link in his mouth and the dull pain of the pinprick-like fissures in my skin awoke with new vigor. I swatted at Arkon. Trying to get him to stop biting. However, without either of us realizing it, Arkon had somehow managed to nick a large vein with his teeth and I'd been slowly bleeding out throughout our entire session. I felt my world tunneling as black replaced the ceiling above me.

\\*\\*\\*

I awoke to the sound of the beeping of the heart monitor, the scent of bleach and urine entering my nostrils. I could feel the presence of someone nearby. I opened my eyes and there, passed out from exhaustion—I assumed, was the Mako. His face beautifully relaxed. His jaw working slowly as the Regiller™ supplied his gills with enough oxygenated water to keep him alive for quite a while. I watched him sleep, as the Regiller™ gurgled and bubbled.

Where others may have seen something of which to be afraid, all I could see was a friend—lover—who had been my everything for as long as I could remember. We _would_ have to figure out the whole biting thing, though. I'd rather not have to wake in the hospital after every tryst with my beloved. I watched as the shark dreamed. He looked so peaceful. So beautiful. So…lovely.

He came to as I watched. “Hey, ya big lug." I said in a jovial tone, though the croak in my voice told me how close I'd come to dying.

He rushed out of the seat, hugged me tightly. “I…I thought I lost you to my stupidity."

“You will lose him, Mr. Ka Mako if you don't let up on him." An otter came in with a hypodermic needle with some strange green fluid in it. “Now, Mr. Henderson, Your lover and I have discussed the manner in which your injury occurred. I told him that if we are to allow you two to continue your sexual lives healthily I would need to give you a transformative procedure. Your human skin is too thin and too weak to support the type of lifestyle you two wish to lead." The Lutrine explained. “What about the chainmail. It seemed like a good idea."

“Maybe for an anthro White Shark. They have wider flatter teeth. This brute, on the other hand has needle-like cone shaped teeth that made short work of the chainmail and made you unnecessarily at risk of blood loss. The best course of action is to transform you as well."

“But I like being human. And I'm pretty sure Arkon likes me as a human as well."

Arkon chose to speak up at this moment, “Buck, I love _you. _No matter what form you take, I love _you._"

The otter nodded, a slightly uncomfortable look on his muzzle. His tail smacked the ground as to grab our attention. “Shall we then?"

I looked at the lutrine with contempt, “You're not giving me a choice, then?"

“Just which species."

“Mako."

“I'd thought you'd say that. That's what I have this for. This is the first injection in the Mako shark process," He said, before sticking the needle roughly in my arm. “The next step is for you to follow me. We'll transfer you to an aquatic observation room. So that we can help you to adapt to your new body in your natural habitat." “Ow." I muttered. Then got up. The otter led us through the maze of corridors to the aquatics unit of the hospital. He shed his clothing and hung it on a hook, revealing his lithe form. And a look to his groin revealed a small, barely discernable sheath and a coin purse of a scrotal sack. “You never did give me a name, Doctor?"

“LeMaine. Charmed, I'm sure." He said before he dove into the water, the water itself was barely disturbed by the otter's form. He popped his head out and his lutrine paw poked out of the water motioning for me to come in.

I looked back at Arkon, who'd also doffed his clothing. “Go on, Love. I'm right behind you."

I did as he bade, and I took off my hospital gown. I covered my own endowment. Though, I noticed it already looked smaller than it had before the injection. And my balls had taken on a more oblong shape. _Huh, that's strange._ I dove into the water splashing madly. Arkon slipped in behind me. He circled the otter, who looked slightly nervous. “Afraid of my friend, LeMaine?"

“N…N…no." He stuttered.

I chuckled. Then motioning with my hand, I told Arkon to surface. He looked puzzled. “What?"

“The good doctor is….hrrrrg…" I groaned. There was an immense pain in my tailbone. And in the middle of my spine. Then all at once it went away, though I felt slightly heavier. And hungrier. I looked behind me and trailing out from the space above my ass crack, a long tail with a shark's double keel at the end waved about. “Apparently afraid of being alone in a tank with two shark morphs."

“Ah…" Arkon swam around me. “You're already looking greyer. Your chest looks whiter than it used to. Your hands and feet have gained their webbing."

“Yes, th…they have… Now it's time for the next stage. Here's the next shot." LeMaine swam up to me and jabbed the next needle in the same arm. “Why do I need ….nnnnngggh…" I groaned again, this time the feeling was coming from my face. I felt it as my nose pushed out. Seemingly gaining a foot in length and dragging my upper lip with it. Next, I felt as the teeth came in. Like a feral shark, I had rows of teeth piercing through my gums and the extant teeth within my gums, in their proper place, were pushed out, falling to the bottom of the tank which made up the aquatic observation room. Then out of nowhere, it seemed, my lower jaw jutted forward to meet the upper one. The next stage seemingly finished up the physical transformation. It was strange, though now that I was physically complete, it was like suddenly the world was more vibrant I could see and smell things I couldn't before. My lateral line had come in fine as well. I could feel the heart rate rise in the Lutrine doctor. “I see. Is…Is this how you've been seeing the world, Arkon? All this time?"

He nodded his sizeable head. “It is."

“Ah… yes the wonders of experiencing the shift in your senses. Now if you'll excuse me…" The little otter rushed from us toward the bank of the tank. Scrambling to get out of the tank. I chuckled malevolently, motioning for Arkon to submerge but with his fin splitting the water. Then pointed toward the scrambling otter. I started humming _Jaws._

The lutrine squeaked in terror and then made the mistake of looking behind him. I don't think I've ever seen an otter go ashen white before. I tapped the water three times. Letting Arkon know that the joke had had its desired effect. Arkon surfaced showing the otter a toothy grin, “Sorry, Dr. LeMaine I couldn't help myself."

“Uh…." The otter seemed to be struck dumb.

“Here, Doctor. Let me help you up. Don't worry, I don't bite…" Arkon chuckled, then added, “much."

The otter let out the most adorable “Meep!"

True to his word, though, Arkon was a kind soul and helped the lutrine doctor out of the water. He fell to his ass, grabbing his legs and hugging them close. He was visibly shaken. He was breathing quickly his eyes were dilated and I could sense that his heartbeat was unnaturally high. “Shit! Arkon, I think we've taken it too far. He's going into a panic attack." I said to the Mako, then to the doctor, “Breathe, doctor. Breathe." I swam over to the wall of the tank where a giant set of buttons were set up. Blue, green, red,
and a speaker grille with a call button. I pressed the call button and immediately called into it, “Doctor LeMaine is having a panic attack in the Aquatic Observation room."

There was static and then, “Understood, sir."

A few moments later another doctor—this one a female zebra morph—kneeled in front of the panic-stricken otter. “Doctor LeMaine!" she snapped in his ear. “Jerome, it's me. Doctor Whitcomb. Please, dear come back to us. Breathe. C'mon now, breathe with me. In…" The zebra breathed in. Here equine nostrils flaring with the intake of air. Then she slowly breathed out through her maw. “Out."

Jerome LeMaine barely seemed to notice her. His auditory response activated when she snapped, though. His round little ear pulled back from the source of the sound, just as it should. When she went through the breathing exercises though, something must have clicked within the otter's brain and he followed along. Once the Zebra mare noticed hat Arkon and I both breathed a sigh of relief, as we both felt through our lateral lines as the otter's pulse stabilized.

She looked to us both, “You both should be ashamed of yourself."

“What!?" we both asked almost at once.

“Let's see two very large, very virile, very healthy Mako-morphs and a skittish otter who doesn't hide his skittishness well. What else am I to think other than you guys pulled the _Jaws_ music prank on him."

We looked at each other. Then to the mare. Then to each other again. “I—"

“Yeah, you're sorry. The man has Selachophobia. Like almost as bad as you can have it. We don't need our Selachomorph patients taking advantage of that. The problem is, that he's also the leading researcher when it comes to Selachomorphic transformations. Odd that. Still, playing that prank on this individual could have made you both murderers."

“Uh…" We both looked at her struck dumb.

“Uhm, why would you put a man with such a debilitating fear of sharks in charge of Selachomorphic Transformation? Doesn't that seem…unsafe?"

“It is. The problem is that the man's fear also created an obsession to understand them. He went into Marine Biology and when GeniFur came out with their AquaFur lineup, he immediately went to work for them. They of course made him go and get a medical doctorate alongside a veterinary doctorate as well. Now, he is the foremost expert on Selachomorphic Anthros." The equine finished.

“Huh. We are both deeply sorry about our severe error in judgement. We will avoid torturing the otter in the future."

“No need. Starting from this moment, I am your doctor. And I take no shit from no one." The glare she gave would have made Hades himself shiver in his sandals, it was so severe. “Now, please enjoy yourselves as I go put my friend in the daybeds."

I dove. I could feel it as Arkon dove after me. I could feel his muscles contract and relax as he swam after me. I could see so clearly in the water. I was impressed with my new abilities. Arkon finally caught up to me and he used ASL to communicate with me: _How you feeling?_

I responded in kind: _Good. A little odd. But I love that I can stay down here as long as I want with you._

_Right! I love that too. \\*applause\\* I'm also excited about something else, love._

_What?_

_I can take you out hunting, now._

I looked at my lover through the water and gave him a raised eye-ridge. Signing, _Hunting? What about the feral sharks?_ _Won't they
frenzy?_

He returned a feral, tooth filled grin. _They'll try. Remember what I told you when we first became friends?_

_No…wait! You told me that you'd fight off the hounds of hell for the ones you love?_ I remembered.

He nodded his head emphatically, causing little bubbles to surround his head and my lateral line to light up like a Christmas tree. He swam up to me and gave me a huge hug. He swam back a bit and then signed, _I love you, Buckley Henderson._

_I love you too, Arkon ka Mako._

\\*\\*\\*

Arkon shook his head as I swam around in the apartment's pool. I remember Arkon and I looking for an apartment complex whose pool used salt instead of chlorine, I now understood why.

As I swam, I thought about our future. I thought about how my new species would affect my daily life. I thought about having to carry a bottle of water with me everywhere.

I looked over at my mate. The love of my life. My lover. My best friend. His toothy grin mirrored my own.

_I love you,_ he signed.

_I love you, too._

Yeah life was going to change. But it was going to be for the better."}
