Upon the day we met  
We both had wept  
Scared as ever were we  
Too see each other  
For once  
We feared each other's presence  
For once  
We loved what we saw  
For once  
We loved one another  
For once  
We were not alone  
For once  
We saw true meaning  
For once  
It only lasted once  
Love left when we parted  
All at once  
We became I  
For I now stand alone  
Tell you a tale of when I was we  
And we were not alone.

_I have done some thinking and my art piece titled **To a Friend** would fit in with this poem. I hope everyone like this poem for I wrote it back in my high school days...._
