A three-part series.","content":"Les Citrus (I)\n\n* * *\n\nPallor from the coming squall,  \nthat chills you to the bone;  \nwe tended the fields for Fall,  \nto bring food back home.\n\nToo bitter to stand up,  \nthe ground weighs you down,  \nwith memories of a cup,  \nyou had filled with a noun.\n\nThe sun has set on groves,  \nthat you helped bring life to;  \nthey turn off the company roads,  \nand neglect to invite you.\n\nYou'd gone through them each,  \nthese lies they tell sweet,  \nlike the pastor's early preach,  \nyou ignored for your feet.\n\nComforts have all let be,  \nyour time as an adult;  \nthese are faults they see,  \nwhile you live without fault.\n\nDrawing hearts in the dirt,  \nis today's last real chance,  \nto ease off this hurt,  \nthat keeps you in trance.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
