The table depicted a massive pokemon region completely brand new, parts of the region having strange environments, snowy areas, Volcanic areas, dense jungles, rocky canons litter the region, and large open feilds all seeming so...Random.\n\n \n\n \n\n“You might be a bit confused but don't worry I'm here to explain, the Rando region. Possibly the biggest in the world! Bigger then Kanto, Johto or Hoenn! This strange place doesn't have any original pokemon but It does have pokemon from all around the world! Even the Galar region! It's isolated too so many would need a boat to get there, this place is so massive and mysterious for it strange phenomena, being able to house any and all types of pokemon.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nShe gets up looking straight at you\u0026nbsp;with a excited grin.\n\n \n\n \n\n“How can this be? A Big Adventure Begins With A Little Trouble.\n\n \n\n \n\nAlex's eyes slowly shifted, snuggling into his bed he gave a mighty yawn, with the distant cries of a Pegiy and Sallows, made it clear it was morning, sunlight fazing in he looked to the clock next to him.\n\n \n\n \n\n11:00 a perfect time, he got up and gave a long stretch reaching into the air, excited yet still a little tried.\n\n \n\n \n\nToday was an important day, the day he would finally be leaving this town and go on an adventure, a pokemon adventure to be specific, and he would be going on this adventure with his two childhood friends Nathan and Heather.\n\n \n\n \n\nNathan was at the same age as him, a tough but proud guy the best way to describe him was...An asshole, truly, he had always been mean and that cruel nature developed as he grew, he wasn't evil no, he's just wanted to be the best no matter the course, he was a pretty cool guy overall but still an ass.\n\n \n\n \n\nHeather was the opposite, a beautiful sweet girl with blonde hair, she was the first person he befriended as a child, her and her mother was new to town, they got along pretty well even years later, the years had enhanced her beauty and grace he had a massive crush on her, she was the daughter of the pokemon professor in this town.\n\n \n\n \n\nProfessor Aspen, a nice lady who came to this small town a long time ago, to research the region, she was also the one that would be giving him and his friends their first ever pokemon.\n\n \n\n \n\nGetting out of bed he headed to the dresser, of course, to get dress, finding his light blue and grey hoodie, he quickly put it on he never went anywhere without it, some casual tough dark blue jeans with a belt he was set for the day, across the small bedroom on a chair was a black and blue backpack, the very one he would be using for his adventure.\n\n \n\n \n\nLong ago when they were 10 all three made a promise, to explore this whole region discovering from one of Heather's mother's books, learning just how big the Rando region was, believing their whole world was their small town and the city next to them this inspired the three of them to one day get a pokemon and go out there and explore it.\n\n \n\n \n\nAnd now 18 it was time to fullfill that dream, funny enough pokemon was original given to 10 years olds and then sent off alone...It was quickly banned as who in their right mind would give a 10-year old a possibly dangerous animal and left to fend for themselves in the wild! So it was bumped up to 18, that was the age someone was allowed to own a pokemon and go off on their own, anyone younger must have a parent or guardian to help raise them.\n\n \n\n \n\nAnyway, the three planned on going to the professor at noon, get their pokemon go back home for lunch and then start the journey, going to his phone he sent a text to both Heather and Nathan telling them he was up and would be heading to the profess near 12, he didn't get a response which worried him slightly but he pressed on.\n\n \n\n \n\nLeaving his room he past the spare bedroom, stopping suddenly and peeking inside, baren, empty, It had been for years...Ever since-\n\n \n\n \n\n“Alex! Is that you?\" shouted a familiar voice.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Yeah Mother it's me,\" he shouted back.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Herdier! Herdier!\" shouted a pokemon.\n\n \n\n \n\nRunning up the stairs was a median sized pokemon named Rocky, a Herdier originaly a cute Lillipup years ago it had evolved turning in Herdier, Herdier was a light brown, canine Pokemon with a short snout, Its face has long, cream fur, which forms a mustache, his ears are large and perked, and he has a black nose, having shaggy dark blue fur covering its body and short tail, he was the family pet, they also had a buneary too...Until it evolved and...Something happened.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Herd?\" spoke Rocky snapping Alex from his daze.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Sorry.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe gave the pokemon a head rub, Rocky was very loyal to the family and had been around since he was young, he was a good pokemon.\n\n \n\n \n\nSeeing everything was clear he headed back downstairs Alex soon followed.\n\n \n\n \n\nDown in the large living room was his father and mother relaxing, his dad reading the local Pelipper paper and his mother making some food.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Look who got up, its a bit early still your meeting with the professor in an hour.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe rubbed the back of his neck, “Yeah I know, it why I'm up.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nShe smiled hugging him, Rocky sitting nearby, “Oh our baby is going on an adventure with his friends, I remember doing that so many years ago.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“I remember,\" replied his father turning around removing his reading glasses, “It how we met.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHis mother lived in the Rando region and his father was a tourist from the Kanto region, from a little place called Pallet town they met and quickly befriended then fell in love, Alex had been there once every year to visit his grandparents.\n\n \n\n \n\n“We all don't need to hear that story again,\" Alex spoke escaping his mother's grasp, “I'm going to get sorted.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“Oh have you messaged your friends yet?\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“I did but...They hadn't responded.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“Strange, maybe they will meet up at the professor's place? You would most certainly find Heather there.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe shrugged and rushed upstairs doing the normal morning routine, brushing his teeth combing his short brown hair, and double-checking that he had everything and some importantly making sure he had his town map device, a blue and yellow machine to help him navigate the region but it wasn't any town map. It was the most advanced version ever made being able to scan the local area for events, hidden locations, and key details, important buildings in that town it was handy to help find specific buildings too for like hotels, it will help on his journey, it was going to be massive after all and you could easily get lost, the town map v2.0 also had a little description of each town as you came closer to it, each was unique in its own way like this town being home to the pokemon professor.\n\n \n\n \n\nHeading back downstairs soon relaxing on the sofa with his dad he was given travel tips, mostly about other people, situation, when in trouble and camping which was quite helpful it was soon closing to 12.\n\n \n\n \n\nAlex got up checking his pocket for his phone and keys.\n\n \n\n \n\n“You heading now?\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe nodded, “Better be early, I might run into Nathan or Heather.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“All right I'll see you soon, I'm so excited to see what my son's first pokemon will be.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“Pick the toughest looking one, not the one you find the cutest, it will help in battles,\" his father spoke.\n\n \n\n \n\nHe glanced away nervously, “R-Right I'll be back soon.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHeading out into the warm welcoming sunlight he made his way down to the professor.\n\n \n\n \n\n###\n\n \n\n \n\nIt was a straight and narrow path only taking five minutes, the sun baring down on his skin, warming and waking him up, seeing a few bird pokemon on the roof of houses and the pokemon centered, the sounds of a Rufflet and Fletchling on top of a red house that was Nathan's home, he was tempted to go over and knock for him but decided against it, he didn't want to hear him complain about being woken up.\n\n \n\n \n\nSo he let his mind wonder on what pokemon he was hoping for, hoping for something cool, some badass something-\n\n \n\n \n\n“Careful!\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe stopped suddenly almost knocking into his neighbor who had a basket in her hand filled with Do you still want to do this?\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe was tempted to say no, and just go back home and give up...No he didn't want too, he still wanted to go on an adventure, find his brother and explore the region, even if he had to do it on his own.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Yes, please,\" he said filling with determination.\n\n \n\n \n\nShe smiled and guided him along towards the lab room.\n\n \n\n \n\n“As you know, this region has no local pokemon all pokemon are from other regions, so I've had to import some starters from other regions.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nHe was nervous the professor actually imported those staters for the three of them something she announced when they all turned 18 a surprise for them, thinking of them, he was bitter about what happened and will be for a while.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe sliding door opened, all around was white to the left was a white chair and a white table with the map of the Rando region on it, machinery and lab equipment littlered the room perfectly but his eyes were brought to the back where a device laid with a single Pokeball, this was most likely his and he was excited.\n\n \n\n \n\n“I'm sorry, you don't get to choose, and it's cruel they left you but I think you'll be happy with what you've got.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“What did they get?\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“Well Nathan chooses a Totodile a water type starter from the Johto region, and Heather choose Fennekin the fire type starter from the Kalos region.\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“I see...So a grass type for me then...What is it?\" He said knowing that three starters were always grass, water, and fire type.\n\n \n\n \n\nShe smiled, “you'll find out.\"\n\n \n\n \n\ngetting closer they both ended up in front of the machine the Pokeball as if looking at him, he turned to the Professor.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Go on, take it, throw it in the air and see what you got.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nSmiling, filling with excitement he reaches out to the round red and grey metal ball, picking it up he thought about saying something cheesy, but quickly throught against it, throwing it in the air the ball suddenly opened up, causing a red beam to escape and land on the table, the red beam formed into a shape revealing a pokemon, as the red beam disappeared the ball fell and he almost dropped it, now he turned to his first-ever pokemon.\n\n \n\n \n\nIt was slender with most of its body was green with a cream underside, A yellow stripe runs down the length of its back and tail, and it had yellow markings around its large eyes. Two curved yellow structures that resemble leaves protrude from its shoulders and bend backward. Its slender arms had three fingers, while its tiny feet have no digits whatsoever. Dungeon like size in such a small bag, how could it hold so much?\n\n \n\n \n\nAs he rushed around he noticed Ivy and Rocky still talking Ivy who was completely focused on him it made him a little wary on what he was saying to her, looking through a draw he saw his old DS device.\n\n \n\n \n\nHe smiled bitterly, picking it up, the DS device, a handheld gaming machine it was extremely popular due to a certain game series which blew people out the water, the name was...Pokemon, yeah a game based on real life.\n\n \n\n \n\nSeeing as 10-year-olds couldn't have a pokemon and go on adventure, the video game developer, calling themselves 'Game freak', did the crazy idea of making a game about being a pokemon trainer, each game set in a different region, every time you were a new pokemon trainer traveling and getting gym badges ready to face the elite 4...He and his friend were instantly hooked.\n\n \n\n \n\nGetting each game and playing, trading and battling together, Alex was a massive fan of the series, it was also really informative too, having a special mechanic requiring you to look after your pokemon make sure they were fed, groomed and happy, the healthier they were, the stronger they were in fights and may even evolve, Nathan never rememberer so he gave up when it got harder he hated grinding levels, it was him and Heather that always beat the elite four, and often raced on who would beat them first, Heather always won, he wished they made a game about the Rando region but...It would never happen.\n\n \n\n \n\nIt was these games and that book they found that inspired them to do this, to be pokemon trainers and face the elite 4 together.\n\nFrom what he heard the elite four in this region was random not having a certain pokemon type but having pokemon of a certain theme of sorts that they could change once a year to keep the competition fresh and exciting, you couldn't prepare for them you just need to have a strong team to face them.\n\n \n\n \n\nThis game series really was the only thing that could get his pokephilia out his mind planning and talking about it perhaps the thrill of adventure would make him forget about it before he crosses the line...And before his dishonoured brother.\n\n \n\n \n\nClosing the draw leaving the old DS here for safekeeping he knew his parent wouldn't throw it away it meant a lot to him, instead he grabbed his special 3DS device an advanced version that could still play old games as well as new, might be fun in case he had to wait for something or on a long ride, some entertainment, he remembered to grab it casing his pokemon games as well as a few other and the charger, putting the last of it in he was all set now he just had to put in those potions, it would be easy.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Lunch's done!\"\n\n \n\n \n\nAll three head turn towards the hallways, Ivy and Rocky had to stop their conversation and had rushed out the room, Ivy stopped tho in the silent room taking a glance at him for a moment her face unreadable before looking back and continuing, Alex sigh rubbing the back of his neck, Rocky has said something, now he was worried.\n\n \n\n \n\nGiving one last check around his room and his bag, double-checking he had everything, easily putting the bag on it was a little heavy but very comfy, he noticed a hat had been on his chair...He didn't like hats honestly his cool hoodie was enough to keep the rain out he likes to wear a very casual attire.\n\n \n\n \n\nHeading out taking his backpack soon he was hit with a sweet, spicy familiar smell, his favorite, rushing down he was greeted with a delicious site.\n\n \n\n \n\nCurry Sausages, most currently his favorite, 5 had been made, one for everyone, deciding to have dinner at lunchtime, on the floor was a sausage curry for both Ivy and Rocky, human food was only made in at special events, like Alex leaving on his life-changing adventure.\n\n \n\n \n\nIt was delicious, the mood was pretty good honestly, the whole time his father and mother giving more advice and event that happened in their life they also highly suggest to go on a boat to the other regions for a little bit before returning to Rando, it might help him get a specify type or gen he wanted, which he was advised to do, being told hundred of times on types and weaknesses, it would help when facing 18 gyms, he would need to plan before hand to ensure he had the right type before facing that specific gym, he had the town map to tell him if the town had a gym.\n\n \n\n \n\nIvy loved her meal, Alex through because she was a grass type, she would only like plants but no, she devoured the whole thing sausage included he wonder if she like meat more, something to take note of later, but she did really like the spiciness of it.\n\n \n\n \n\nWith full bellies and a loud burp from Ivy and Alex which made his mother glared at him for it, he just grinned innocently and shrugged his dad couldn't help but smile a calm smile reminding him of his younger days when he was his son age going out on an adventure.\n\n \n\n \n\nHelping to clean up he made one last round in his room, Ivy was resting on a small pokemon bed that belonged to him, Rocky didn't mind she would not be here for long anyway.\n\n \n\n \n\nHe was ready, the thought sent a jolt through his body something he had been preparing for years and now it was about to begin, making sure his backpack was tightly on and his phone, wallet and Pokedex in his pocket he left the room.\n\n \n\n \n\nHe stopped for a moment looking inside the spare room that belonged to his wonder.\"\n\n \n\n \n\nAlex brought out his Pokedex flipping it open pointing the camera at him, he tilted his head.\n\n \n\n \n\n_“__Herdier, the Loyal Dog pokemon. This very loyal Pokémon helps Trainers, and it also takes care of other Pokémon.\"_\n\n \n\n \n\n“Huh...Really? Snivy seeing all the produce catching her interest, this Angus guy seems ok, he was lazy but friendly with her master she would tolerate him.\n\n \n\n \n\nAlex quickly found all he needed, food for himself, drinks, food for Ivy and any other pokemon he gains on his adventure, he cared more for quality than quantity, he wasn't going to get every pokemon he sees, this was an adventure where he wouldn't catch them all... There were just too many to catch.\n\n \n\n \n\nBringing over the food and asking Ivy to pick up two yellow containers those were antidotes just in case there's any bug pokemon in the forest, displaying it on the counter he quickly paid and stored it into his bag.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Right now I say you all set to go, heading to Randoport?\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“Of course take care Angus, I'll send a postcard,\" Alex said turning ready to leave.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Wait, Alex,\" Angus spoke almost a little excited.\n\n \n\n \n\nBoth Alex and Ivy turning, “Angus?\"\n\n \n\n \n\n“I almost forget, I have something for you!\" he spoke before running off into the back room.\n\n \n\n \n\nCatching both the human and Pokemon's attention a minute later he came running out with a small box in his hand.\n\n \n\n \n\n“For you...A parting gift from your boss...And a good friend,\" he smiled.\n\n \n\n \n\nCurious as to what his friend had given him he slowly opened almost making Alex gasp in shock.\n\n \n\n \n\nIn the box was a small wrist device a blue colored one, a small easy to use screen.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Angus! It's a Pokétch! Flying would be handy seeing once he gets the Fly TM he could teach it and travel to any old places it had seen...Which reminded him he needed to grab a TM machine, they were pretty cheap at the pokecenter or poke mart it would be good to have that as Angus didn't sell any.\n\n \n\n \n\nSuddenly a scream came out sounding like a woman, Ivy and Alex reacted and started running down the dirt path to the source.\n\n \n\n \n\nSoon they found the voice and it leads to a strange scene, the sound of a pokemon barking its name rang through the area extremely pissed off.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Poochyena!\" Bark the dog-like pokemon.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe creature. Its body is primarily gray with a black face and throat, paws, and belly. Its eyes are red with yellow sclerae, and it has a red nose. Its lower jaw has two pointed teeth sticking out. The fur at the base of its tail is rumpled and shaggy. Poochyena has gray paw pads on its three-toed paws.\n\n \n\n \n\nIt was looking up a tree there on one of the branches was a woman, a woman round Alex's age with long red and black hair, she was holding the branch tightly.\n\n \n\n \n\n“No, I didn't steal your berries you danm Poochyena!\" Shouted the woman her voice girly and cute.\n\n \n\n \n\n“We need to help her!\" Alex spoke.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Snivy,\" she said in agreement.\n\n \n\n \n\nComing closer the woman soon noticed her blue piercing eye looking at them, staring into his brown eyes.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Hey, help me!
