#227 of Short Stories

A kobold surprises a Synth.

~ The synth, hulking over his kobold boyfriend, leaned down to nibble a bit at the kobold's ear-ridge. The baker playfully volunteered, "You sure you're not taking me here just because you're crushing on that dragon who's on the sign?"
~ The kobold, cheeks flushing a bright red, "Nononono! This place is great! You've had spicy wafers before, and liked them?"
~ With a hand resting on the kobold's shoulder for re-assurance, "Yeah, I've had spicy Click-o-Pop chips, though they're kind of flat tasting, you know?"
~ Eld looked up to the Synth's chin to note, "Those things are basically made by chemistry. This place uses peppers to make the wafers; it's more art and cooking."
~ Bell seemed somewhat surprised at this, "You know the best places to try.", following the kobold along towards the entrance.
