A squirrel watches a movie.

~     In the rumbling din of the theater, the squirrel first noticed when her popcorn seemed damp. After a pause in the action, when the characters tumbled into a well lit room to express their feelings and goals to each other, she looked down to find a splay of blood across the top of her popcorn bucket. A hand to her nose confirmed the source, while the application of pressure and a jacket sleeve granted her delay to watch as the characters on screen deployed the iron wafers.
