Having woken up, I already look as if I was a deranged lunatic with a taste for blood, but it was because I was jolted to a halt when my alarm went off.

In the mirror before me, all I saw was a crazy MechWing Alligator looking for a fight. Nah, it's just me.

My turquoise-colored scales were clashing appropriately with the color of the bathroom walls, but they were lighter in depth than on its own.

I had begun to take out my brush and started fixing up this large, coal colored Mane called my hair, and I began to gently brush through the laces of fur.

I have been made aware that a male MechWing Gator has a mane that can grow up to 15 centimeters, and the one who has the largest mane is usually the leader of the entire forest.

Unlike that, however, I was a frail weakling, but still got respect by the leader, who was my granddad. Sadly, since civilization had been built, we disbanded and became independent.

Sorry, was I rambling on? I got a little distracted there. Anyway, while I was peacefully grooming my mane and changing into my casual indoor clothes, which consisted of a plaid green/yellow shirt with a white undergarment beneath it, a pair of black pants, and yellow sneakers, I heard my doorbell ring.

Much to my surprise, it had been only two years since I last had visitors, until now - putting down my brush to go check, it was beginning to worry me.

Should this be a ding ding ditcher, or just someone in need of money?

Irrational fear struck me as I had gotten closer, but I kept my cool, since this is no time or be scared. As I slowly opened the front door to check who it was, it was completely empty.

This bewildered me, but at the same time, provoked me, since my first assumption was correct - possibly not.

Before going back inside, I looked down to see a... kid?

He was no ordinary child - he was an Axolotl. _Oh my _I thought, _I've heard stories about a species like this, but never in my life have I sent one up close. _

The poor thing looked up at me, his face completely covered in heartache. I know I shouldn't have answered the door, but it would be so rude of me just to ignore him.

He looked so innocent, his amber eyes looking straight at me. Frozen in confusion, I opened my tooth-filled mouth open to speak, but no words could come out.

All of a sudden, I spotted a sticky note on the right quadrant of his chest, and it had words written on it...

I took the note off him and read it carefully.

"Please babysit," I read aloud, taken aback by this message. Just looking at him, he seemed like someone had him before me. Judging by this note alone, I also made sight of his appearance - he was dressed, looking presentable.

He sported a white T-shirt with a small red logo on it, alongside a small green pair of shorts that seemed too short for someone his age.

The Axolotl boy looked about nine to ten years old, and he was so little! At the same time, I tried to hide my excitement of meeting up with an adorable life form like him, even trying to figure out what to do.

I kneeled down to his height, but for some reason, I could not level myself with him. "Hey," I began, and he looked straight at me. "What is your name?"

"K-kiyoko," he replied, his voice tiny and timid. I saw that he was hanging onto a stuffed Giraffe toy by his side, mostly because he was afraid of being somewhere new.

I checked to see if anyone else was watching, just to be sure nothing bad happens, then returned my gaze to Kiyoko.

"Where did you come from?" I asked.

"M-my d-d-dad dropped me off," he replied, a hint of numerous stutters and a possible speech impediment in his voice. While this was something new to me, I smiled a bit and picked him up.

"Well, in case if he ever comes back," I spoke, still holding him, "looks like you're stuck with me!"

I spotted a little smile creep across his face, as I bring him inside.

"}
