# Tonight...

Thoughtful thinking - 12. - 

Tonight, something caught me by surprise

As I drifted off to sleep, it caught my eyes

A figure so familiar, it was felt down to my soul 

It sparked an old feeling not felt in a while, like a fire fed with coal

The misty air was soaked with reasons long left to times past

The aroma was filled with intentions that couldn't last

Tick tock, around a broken clock, the face still visible, though movements are only in mind

Slow shadows dance in place, as pieces click & move, showing frozen doubt beginning to unwind 

Into another trip, eyes closed, mind elsewhere

I watch as a story unfolds, all I can do through anothers eyes, is calmly stare

Morning will come, eventually...

Then, a blur will tease tired eyes, through a jumbled memory...
