In this sequel, plasma bullets fly, relationships are tested, and sexual times are shared. How will this newly formed trio fare?

[Updated 5/21/2021]: I wasn't happy with this one in a lot of ways, but I've gone back over every part multiple times to fix it up. It's shorter, and the plot gets going quicker. The descriptions and dialogue are much snappier. And, dare I say it, the sex is a bit sexier? I do. I do say it.
Part 1: Search for Clues

* * *

Darcy was staring at a wall when he heard Radon knocking. He looked at the wall for a few more seconds of focus, then went and let him and Mel in.

"A note, Darcy? You left a note?" Mel asked.

“Hello to you too," he said.

She had another comment ready, but then she saw the wall too. The lynx took after the human, standing beside him. "You've been busy," she said.

The wall usually served as a window to the exterior of the station and the milky cosmos beyond, but now it was a monitor. Half the area was covered in documents. The other half looked like selfies, all of anthro rabbits and hares. On closer inspection, Mel realized they weren't selfies at all; they were mugshots.

"The guy got away, remember?" Mel said.

"Yeah, but he could be on the arrest record. It's taking a while though. There's thousands of these."

"Why don't you cross-reference the hare you were fighting with the images here?" Radon asked.

"That's what I'm doing."

"I meant with a picture of him, obviously."

Darcy shook his head. "I don't have a picture of him.”

"What about your Eye?" Ray asked.

“No, I disabled that spyware the second I got it," Darcy said.

"You're paranoid," Ray grumbled.

Darcy looked at him, bewildered. "I guess?"

"Easy guys, you're forgetting I was there too," Mel said. She turned on her Eye with a long wink and rolled her history back to yesterday. It gave her the odd sensation like she was really back there. She was looking down the scope of a plasma weapon. The hare was in front of her, calm as ever. Mentally kicking herself a few more times from a few different directions, she threw the image of the scruffy hare onto the wall.

"Let's see then," Darcy said, sliding his hands across the wall. Software started running through the images, dozens of them scanned each frame. It only took a few tense seconds for the software to display a pop-up window.

"Fuck," Ray exhaled.

They threw more ideas around: searching the station by the fuel canister they were stealing, or by asking around different refueling stores. But there were too many of either to investigate quickly. Even Darcy’s search on the jailed vixen came up blank.

"How's she avoiding an ID match?" Mel asked.

The longer they waited, the more chances the thieves had to leave. Ray and Darcy bickered back and forth. Mel ignored them, staring at all the useless mugshots. They needed something concrete. Alternatively, metal.

"The gun!" Mel remembered.

"What gun?" Ray said.

Mel pulled it out. Despite her short arms, her vest allowed for her to remove a weapon concealed against her fluffy side.

“How long have you had--” Ray started saying.

“Stole it off the rabbit,” she smirked. “Are you familiar, Darcy?”

“I was going to ask you the same thing.” Darcy put his hand out, and Mel surrendered the weapon.

All plasma weapons were similar in a lot of ways: electromagnetic chamber, capacitors, and of course a barrel, handle, and trigger. It was plated in a silvery metal and veneered with a rich wood. It was over engineered and extremely beautiful, like it was designed for someone with too much money—not a criminal lowlife.

The handle had small, curly text etched into it, curly to the point of being illegible. Next to it was a small string of letters and numbers.

“Think that’s the manufacturer?” Darcy said, pointing it out.

Mel took her fancy gun. “Yeah. I do know a norm who might be able to trace the damn thing.” Mel looked away, swearing under her breath.

"Who would that be?" Ray said, concerned.

"Devin Kaan,” she said, “From my old life.”

Part 2: Trans-Action

* * *

"Stay behind me," Darcy said.

Mel and Ray nodded. They entered the oldest part of the station, a section parked there a decade earlier by a norm co-op. It housed all the important utility elements. Power and gravity generation made the air smell like sulfur, taste like putting your tongue to a battery. Stalls encroached on already narrow hallways.

"Where is this place?" Darcy asked.

"Just to the right," Mel said. As they neared the grimy storefront, Mel leaped to the front of the file.

The lynx grunted as she pushed her way in. They looked around. Weapons and equipment lined the store's racks. They were secured in cases that would have been see-through if not for all the dust and the dim lighting. On the far side, a norm was preoccupied, cleaning a handgun. He looked as dusty as his shelves, and he was in desperate need of a shave.

The shopkeeper watched as all three entered the store. He would have gladly kicked a single cat from his store, but as the other two entered, the threat didn’t leave his throat.

"Now there's something you don't see, well, damn near never, actually," the man said.

Darcy hoped to gain something about Mel's past just by looking at him. "Devin?" he asked.

He looked back at Darcy in all his cleanliness: fitting black pants and a brown faux leather jacket, no facial hair to be seen. "How would I know you?" Devin returned.

"You don't. You know the lady though." He motioned down to Mel.

Devin glanced down at the lynx, sitting back in his chair. He smiled dismissively. "I don't associate with much of any felines."

"The name Mel Halquist ring any bells?" Mel said.

"I don't--" Devin began.

"Oh right. Maiden name Verci," she added.

For the first time, he made eye contact with the lynx. "You're fucking shitting me," he said.

Mel shook her head through a smile. "I need to ask a favor."

"No?” Khan laughed. "No. Hold the fuck up. You are telling me that you are the crazy guy I dated for like three months? Weren’t you the guy who told me to go eat shit and die?"

"I don't remember," Mel dodged, "we were both young."

"Well, we were both younger, yeah, but you were younger, human, and also a fucking dude."

Mel swallowed. "Yes, now I remember."

"Tell me," Devin implored, "when you got lady bits, are you still queer, just with the ladies now, or do you suck your fair share too?"

Mel growled, jumping on the table, and sending the gun clattering to the floor. She crouched in front of Devin, showing off sharp teeth and a sharper gaze.

Devin looked unphased, or at least hiding it behind a small laugh. He held his hands up just past his shoulders. "Easy Mel, I was just curious."

"We still want his help," Darcy reminded.

Mel slowly raised herself, opting to prowl the table, eye-level with her ex.

"What do you need my help with so bad?" Devin asked.

“Do you still know every gun maker worth a shit?" Mel growled.

"Know them? You're looking at damn close to the foremost expert! We're a dying breed, hon."

“Just tell me who makes this,” she spit. She ripped the plasma pistol out of her vest and threw it onto his lap, hoping it would misfire and shoot him through the chest. No luck.

“So what did you—wait, wow, this thing looks like an antique! Beautiful,” he said.

“Yeah, now who makes it?” Mel said.

“Just give me a sec.” Devin Kaan winked his Eye to life, adjusting the lens to zoom in on the gilded inscription on the handle. He recognized it immediately, making his actual eyes go wide.

“Well?” Mel said.

“How much you want for it?” Devin said.

"Who makes it?" she said again.

"Made,” Devin corrected. “The Totecs out of the Zernes system were the best rifle craftsmen in the star cluster. Right until Zernes A went supernova, anyway. Such a nasty way to go.”

"That's great," Mel said dryly, "so who owns the gun?"

"What? Making a return?"

"Yep," she said.

"Melly, you are so full of shit. You better know what you’re doing."

Mel stared at him, exhausted. She leapt off the table.

"Can you trace the gun or not?" Darcy said.

"Yeah, but what's in it for me? Not exactly legal with all the co-ops, you know."

"Me and Mel won't beat your shit in."

"That's cute. You her new boyfriend or something?" Devin said.

"She's married." Darcy looked over at Ray, who hadn’t been doing a lot of talking.

"That didn't answer the question,” Devin laughed.

Darcy started walking around the counter with his right hand to his waist and holster, closer to Devin.

Devin put an open hand out. "Alright, let’s not do that. I’ll help ya out, but you gotta let me buy it off you."

"Mel?" Darcy asked.

"No. We need weapons for this."

"Darcy has a weapon," Ray finally spoke. "And we could use the money to buy you something less conspicuous." The canine's hand found the top of Mel's head, scratching it just right under her tall ears. The lynx didn’t feel any more relaxed, but she pressed her body against Radon anyway.

After a second of looking at Devin, she nodded "Fine. How much is it worth?"

While she waited for Devin to low-ball her, she searched up the gun manufacturer with her Eye.

"How's five thousand ICE sound?" he said.

Five thousand Inter-Cooperative Expenditures was enough for her and Radon to pay rent for a couple months. They could even afford a couple nice tickets off-station.

Devin Kaan saw her Eye glowing. He gradually lost his smirk.

"How about eighty thousand?" Mel countered. Ray’s hand got stiff on the top of her head.

"Uh-huh… fifty grand?" he offered sadly.

"Seventy."

"Fifty grand, ten grand in-store credit?" Kaan said. His teeth showed in a forced smile.

Mel's whiskers twitched. "Fine."

Kaan tapped something out on the side of his wall. Mel saw her Eye flash the 50,000 ICE transfer to her account, more than she had earned in a year of filthy work on the station’s various spacecraft.

“Right, the guy you’re somehow returning the gun to, you know, the one you just sold me? His name is Harry Ike. I’ll attach the purchase history.”

“You’re shitting me. The hare’s name is Harry?” Mel said.

He shrugged. “I don’t make the damn rules.”

It was hitting Ray that they were filthy rich. “Remind me why we’re still going after these guys again?”

“It wasn’t about the money,” Mel said.

“Just trying to be realistic.”

“Ray,” Mel said, “this fucker threw me through a chair and nearly killed Darcy. I’m not dropping this for enough ICE to give me hypothermia.”

Devin Kaan snickered. Ray just blinked out of concern.

Darcy looked around the shop. “So, what are we buying?”

Part 3: Big-Ass Ears

* * *

Henry Kuiper liked the police chief--as far as norm’s went, anyway. The only thing he really disliked about him was the quarterly review. As the review went on, the fennec had his gaze wondering, his ears turned away.

“Did ya hear that, mate?” Henry said.

“No, mate. Don’t get paranoid on me. Let’s focus,” the chief said.

“I am paranoid. But that ain’t the point. This office should be damn-near empty.”

The chief turned on his Eye. After a few seconds, he sighed. “There’s nothing on the cameras—but fine. You find someone out there where they shouldn’t be, I'll buy you lunch. If you don’t, you’re buying. We'll finish this review tomorrow. It’s late.”

“Sure thing, chief,” Henry said.

The chief took a second to shake his head at Henry, who was already closing the door behind himself.

Henry removed his stun gun from the holster. Most of the lights were off. No one was left but him and the chief.

But his ears weren’t lying to him. He heard the footsteps, each pawstep distinct. He kept his gun low, scanning the hallway for movement.

The air glitched. Henry's eyes struggled to focus on the brown fur only a few paces from him, a scrap of someone detached from its host.

“Stop!” he ordered, firing his weapon. Its electrodes flew uselessly down the hall. The cloaked figure blurred their background, moving too fast for their tech to disguise them. They slammed the gun from Henry’s paw, and another blur of movement connected with his head.

Before Henry could hit the ground loudly, the figure grabbed hold of him. They dragged him toward the communal jail cell, looking around for any movement. Henry moaned, starting to wake up. The cloaker grunted through the last few steps. They put Henry's limp paw up to the handle. The sensor flashed green, and the jail opened.

Inside, it was dark. The handful of those arrested were still sleeping. The figure uncloaked, revealing his long, floppy ears. He looked for red fur, and found a vixen laid back against a bench.

The hare shook the vixen’s shoulder.

“Gida,” the hare whispered.

The fox opened her eyes. “What took you all day?” Gida said.

“Shh,” he hushed, eyeing the deputy. “'Let’s get off this fuckin’ station.”

Part 4: Oral Review

* * *

The trio arrived back at Darcy's place. Darcy threw the bag of expensive new weaponry on the floor and fell into a chair at his table.

Darcy rubbed his face. "Alright, what did you find, Ray?"

Ray pulled out a chair. “There’s a Gregorian Elite registered to a Harry, parked here just yesterday, Bay 9."

The Elite series of spacecraft were worth more than their weight in Janit. Extremely comfortable, spacious, and overpriced.

"You sure you were looking at the right Harry?" Mel said.

"Yeah, Harry Ike. They gave the bare-minimum details on arrival, but it's definitely them."

"Who are these guys?” Darcy questioned. “They're riding around in a ship worth like ten times one of those Totec pistols but can't afford some damn antimatter?"

"I know the type. Probably get off on stealing, even if they can afford it," Mel said.

"Maybe," Ray said.

Mel looked to Darcy. "So, what's the plan?"

"We should at least confirm we have the right ship. We'll have to wait for them to show up. Especially because I don’t think we could hotwire a Gregorian."

The lynx rubbed her body along Darcy's leg, winding her way under the table. "Yeah, I wouldn't try my luck with those things. The ignition is usually bio-locked. Not that I don't appreciate your biology or anything," she added.

"Uh, thanks," Darcy said. "Where are you going?"

She wedged herself between Darcy's legs, looking up at him from the floor. "Did I mention that I'm still in heat?"

"I may have noticed," Darcy said, recalling her walking back with her short tail hiked.

"I don't think this is the best time for this, Mel. Those guys could be leaving right now," Ray said.

Pressing herself into Darcy's crotch, the soft flesh underneath the fabric smooshed against her flat nose. She inhaled his scent. Finally, Mel responded. "We still need to work out a plan. And Darcy can use his mouth, even if mine is busy."

Darcy attempted to grin at Ray in a way that couldn't be described as "shit-eating," and pulled down his pants. For the moment, his underwear stayed on.

The feline brought her oversized paws to his crotch. She groped his boxers and the squishy flesh underneath, going for broad grabs instead of accuracy. His dick was sandwiched comfortably under her weight. Soon, she found the actual structure of him within the fabric, massaging his member with a single, gripping paw. It slowly hardened against her touch. Darcy worked to not squirm in his seat.

"Right," Darcy croaked out, regaining some focus, "I think we can get inside their ship fine. Doors are easier to override than ignition switches. We can get the jump on them in there."

"Good idea," Mel said, rubbing his erection higher. She stretched the boxers apart, separating them at the split in the front. Without too much extra work, his pale erection sprang free, bringing a smile to the cat's face.

Ray looked under the table disapprovingly for a second. "Then what? We just force them to start the engines?"

"Well we should probably, uh," he trailed, interrupted by the cat’s tongue. He looked under the table, watching his dick disappear between her jaws. He felt hard as rock, her mouth tight and warm around him. "'Probably,' I was saying, right? Probably tie them up before we throw them overboard. And take their weapons. But yeah, then just fly out of the Bay. Pretty simple.

"A simple plan, maybe, but a lot that can go wrong," Ray said.

Mel's teeth grated against his skin. She opened her mouth wider to avoid it, just her tongue and the roof of her mouth sliding against him. Darcy could feel the faint buzz of a purr along his cock, making him exhale and sit back in his seat. He scratched her neck. The sound of spit between the lynx's maw around his dick was audible to all of them.

"Yeahhh," Darcy moaned. "But if things go wrong, we can always improvise. We have a few toys to play with this time. I'm not letting that bunny get away again."

"Improvise, sure," Ray said, mocking.

"I'm excellent at improvising," Mel said. Mel slid up off the human's cock and licked the pre leaking out of him. It was much more subtle than the constant leak that came from Ray. She had missed the subtleties of human penises: the thin layer of skin that easily slid against the flesh underneath, the feeling of their rod tense as they reached the brink between her jaws, swelling and pulsing with blood. Even if her own backside burned from a lack of attention all morning. Even if Kaan was still an asshole.

Ray pushed forward. “Let’s assume no one’s there, we manage to break in, and get the jump on them. There’s three of them and three of us but giving me a gun isn’t going to be very productive.”

The bicentennial closed his eyes, absorbed by the grip of the cat on his length. She kept kneading his balls, thankfully without her claws, teasing out every ounce of his enjoyment. She responded to his twitches of pleasure, staying down around him for longer, fitting more of him inside. He decided he was going to have to get her back for this.

“We don’t need you to be any good with aiming. Just be able to squeeze the trigger. At close range, stunning them should be pretty.” Darcy paused to inhale dramatically. “Effective,” he finished, moaning again.

Mel could feel a difference with the dick in her mouth. His penis was tensing and flexing, making it harder to lick him. His ballsack drew in towards his body. Somehow, he felt even harder. He was close.

"I guess," Ray finally agreed. "So how are we going to get the airlock open?"

"Oh, I can take you inside," Mel punned, full of lust.

She forced herself down as far as she could, licking the bottom of his tasty shaft and feeling the fabric of his boxers kiss her lips. His dick swelled against her tongue, pulsing rhythmically before the first spurt hit the back of her mouth. She barely got to taste it, swallowing the human’s cum as it unloaded into her purring throat. Her heartbeat insisted on her breathing, but she held it for a few more seconds before she raised and took a long breath. She sunk down again just to enjoy the last few seconds of his hard-on before it disappeared.

Ray became hopelessly distracted, watching his wife nurse Darcy’s dick for every last drop. "Finish up, will you?"

Mel only looked up from his slobbery crotch when she felt Darcy rub his hands along the side of her head, flattening her long fur and wiping off her spit.

"Yeah, yeah. Have I mentioned how great your wife is?" Darcy said.

"That's what I'm worried about," Ray said.

They stared at each other. Darcy wore a blank expression, minus the red still flushed to his face. For a fluffy dog, Radon's eyes were uncharacteristically narrow. Mel jumped onto an empty chair, licking her face.

Darcy’s eyes broke off first. "You’re right, Ray, let’s get going. You two need to get anything from your home? We won't be able to come back for it."

"I like a fresh start. Anything I really need is in here," Mel said, patting her head.

When Mel became a lynx, her old body got left behind. Part of her brain was what transferred--half biology, half technology. Everything shared the same space in her modified skull.

"I only need Mel," Ray said.

Part 5: Welcome to the Heist

* * *

Bay 9 housed some of the smaller spacecraft. Most took the shape of large, inexpensive cubes on the bay floor. Only their landing gear and their plumbing broke up their boxy appearance. Tacky artwork was painted over many of the ships, as well as the flag of their co-ops. Among these ships, the Gregorian was like a beached whale, far from the sea.

Its hull was built with long, flowing curves. It had polished golden trim around coppery plates. Its windows weren't the traditional portholes, but sharp triangles and squares of colored glass, like beautiful, glittering mosaics. Where there weren't windows and copper and gold, it had brilliant white panels, tracing out circuit-like paths across the hull.

"God, what an ugly ship," Mel muttered.

Mel stopped them behind the charred exhaust vent of one old cube ship, looking at the Gregorian parked a few rows down. “This is good,” she decided.

On the walk over, Mel had gone deep into the digital half of her brain, past all of the files, porn, and other clutter, into her own operating system. It was what made her new body work around the old, human brain.

“I’ll start uploading the digital link to my felid anatomy onto their AI network,” Mel said.

“English?” the human begged.

“No, French,” she cut, nervous. “What’s so complicated about a splice-hack?”

Ray looked to Darcy in a moment of empathy, then just shrugged.

The lynx went back into her Eye. She disguised her file as a station-wide update log, which was automatically downloaded. Mel knew it was going to hurt, just not how much.

“Mel, are you okay?” Darcy asked. “Mel!”

Her heart fluttered. When she tried to force her legs to move, even to just sit down, she couldn’t. She couldn’t feel her tail or control her ears.

Thankfully, some things were spared, like her voice. “I’m running on a human again. Can’t move.”

“What were you thinking? Get out of that thing!” Ray ordered.

“Okay, the door’s unlocked,” she said. Before she trudged all the way out of the ship’s data banks, she found a problem: a big one. “Fuck! We need to get onto that ship,” Mel said.

“Not until you’re out of there,” Ray insisted.

Mel tugged on the link through her Eye. The ship’s old AI was basically crying in a box she made; all she had to do was let it out.

All at once, Mel’s limbs returned to her. She twisted up to standing.

“Follow me!” she said.

She sprang ahead. Ray stood there, bewildered. Darcy Jones was already up, running after her with his blaster drawn. The canine finally followed, cursing, looking around for any spectators.

Within seconds, Mel stood at the door. She leaped upward, pressing the button that opened the airlock. As all fancy spaceships seemed obligated to do, the door sweeped open layer by pretentious layer. Gears whirred, like an oversized clock. Finally it stopped, leaving a smooth connection to the double-door chamber inside. Mel and Darcy both ran in, looking back at Ray. As soon as he began passing the threshold, Mel pressed a button, closing the door again.

“What’s wrong?” Ray said.

“They’re on board,” she breathed.

“What?!” Darcy and Radon whispered over each other.

“I disabled the sensors in here and made sure their AI couldn’t snitch on us, but they’re bound to know something’s up soon,” Mel said.

“Let’s stick to the plan,” Darcy said. “Do we know where they all are?”

“There’s two in piloting… fuck. I don’t remember seeing the last one. I had no time.”

“Wait, piloting?” the human said.

A dull hum rang through the ship. The landing legs creaked as the Gregorian Elite rose off of the bay floor. Gravity generation stopped any of them from feeling the tug of the engines, but there was a small window in the floor. Large, boxy ships passed by as they flew towards the exit gate.

“What the fuck, Mel?” Darcy said.

“I told you we needed to hurry.”

Darcy sighed, resting the side of his old blaster against his temple. He did his best not to point it at Mel instead. “Okay. Okay,” he eased, “we go to Piloting, we stun them, and we take the ship. Then we worry about the last one.”

Ray sat against the wall, dropping his gun on the floor as he tried to pull out the fur on his head. “This is fucking insane,” he said.

“We’re great at insane,” Mel said. She pushed the weapon back into his paw. “Just focus on what we have to do. Oh, and stay behind Darcy.”

He wanted to argue. “Okay,” he agreed breathlessly.

“Mel, can you get us there?” Darcy asked.

She grimaced. “Probably?”

Darcy smirked and brought his hand to the other airlock button. “Good enough.”

Three barrels faced the opening door. Harsh, white light greeted them, but not gunshots, causing Ray to exhale, relieved for only a second. As their eyes adjusted, a predictably grand entryway emerged.

Mel stowed her weapon so she could walk. She got Darcy’s attention, motioning to the right with her head.

Each room was spacious. Countless doors and hallways led to other parts of the ship. Everything seemed to radiate its wealth, from the marble floors, to the crystal lights overhead.

Darcy trained his gun side to side, watching for movement. Ray's back was turned, looking behind them. His floppy ears perked up. To him, their own steps seemed to be the loudest thing on the ship.

They went up two flights of stairs. Every step up brought them toward the sound of running water. The air started to smell of chlorine and plant life. The stairs led to a blank, unassuming kind of back door.

"Pool?" Darcy whispered, his hand on the door handle. Radon nodded. He opened it. The pool was glittering and clear, soft colored lights accenting it. Mel pointed them all ahead. The canine looked behind, noticing the pool area continued around a sharp turn. There was a hot tub bubbling away, and inside it, a naked vixen.

Ray didn’t fire.

The fox looked up in shock. "Who the hell?"

Mel and Darcy heard the words and turned around. The fox had her Eye turned on. "Get your gun, there's--."

Darcy shot her in the chest, the charge sparking against the water. She slumped into the hot tub, instantly knocked out. For a second, no one reacted.

"God dammit, Ray!" Mel cried.

"They're going to lock us down! Let's move!" Darcy yelled.

Mel stopped. "Wait, the girl!"

"What?" Darcy asked.

"What?!" Mel repeated, "We can't let her drown!"

Ray dropped his gun again. He threw himself into the hot water, picking up her drenched body just as her head dipped below the bubbling water.

Darcy directed him, opening a small storage room. "Throw her in here!"

Ray didn't have time to question it. As soon as the door was closed, Darcy slammed the dial on his gun up from stun to lethal. Darcy pointed it at the door. "Stand back," he said.

“What?” Ray cried.

Darcy fired. The plasma bullet fried through the door frame, sizzling into the metal that held the door shut, fusing it closed.

"Come on," Darcy growled.

The trio made it to another room before an alarm started blaring. Even it sounded orchestral, matching the owners’ ridiculous wealth. More relevant to them, however, was that the door in front of them was now locked.

"Is there another way?" Ray asked.

"They're all going to be locked," Mel said.

"Let’s just shoot it open!" Ray told Darcy.

"Do you see this thing? It's solid metal!"

"It's worth a try. Why can't you just hear me?!" the canine raged.

Darcy put his hands up in anguish, sick of talking to him. "Mel? What are you doing?"

Mel was lying down on her belly. "I'm improvising. Watch out for me, will ya?”

Ray caught on. “Mel, you can’t!”

Her body slumped over, out of her control again. Radon yelled out in anger.

She went in the same route as before, almost surprised it still worked, right before half her Eye started to flash warnings. Suddenly, her access to their internal system was severely limited, and her way out was blocked. The AI wasn’t crying anymore.

“AI’s fighting it, but the doors are open for now,” Mel mumbled out.

“Which way to Piloting?” Darcy asked.

“Left. All the way down.”

Ray grunted as he pulled his wife up, her body limp. “When are you getting out of there?” he asked.

“I need to keep the doors open,” she lied.

They came to a hallway. Doors branched off on both sides, behind each a bed or two. Darcy peered into every one on the way down, checking for any of the two remaining thieves. They were all empty of occupants. At the end was a solid metal door, red letters showing that Mel’s directions to the piloting room were accurate. Inside, they heard the scraping of something along the floor, loud even with the alarm system blaring.

Human and dog backed away from the door.

“What are they doing in there?” Darcy said.

“Sorry, you will not be getting in here,” a deep, polite voice said over an intercom system. “Maybe you’d want to talk this out?”

Ray looked around the hallway. “Let’s not.”

“Is that door unlocked?” Darcy asked Mel.

“Should be,” she said.

Darcy grabbed a pulse grenade from Mel’s vest. He set the timer to five seconds, and with his hand on the door, he triggered it

The handle turned. Darcy pushed. And then he pushed harder. The door moved a fraction of an inch. He tried pulling instead of pushing: nothing. The grenade had two seconds.

“Watch out!” Darcy barked. He lobbed it into a nearby bedroom, its door cracked open. The electricity flowed into the metal of the bed frame and the dresser, dissipating into the floor. The light shined straight through the solid door, bathing the hallway in a sharp blue light.

Darcy looked away. Ray didn’t. “What the fuck was that for?” he complained, blinking.

“They blocked off the door with something big. Anything you can do from here, Mel?” Darcy asked.

“I can’t push shit out… there. Wait! I have a plan.”

“What?” Darcy said.

“I’ll disable their gravity gen.”

“How would that…” Radon thought, “oh, you clever girl.”

“There’s gotta be another way,” Darcy argued.

“Get ready,” Mel said.

Darcy swallowed. He gripped the door handle. Ray grabbed hold of him, already feeling Mel slipping from his other arm.

Suddenly, everything was falling. Darcy’s stomach went to his throat, making him clench his jaw like he had to hold it in. He was waiting for an impact that never came. “I hate this shit,” Darcy muttered.

Darcy grabbed another grenade from Mel’s pack, the last one.

“Please, gods,” Darcy prayed.

Leveraging his hand off of the doorframe, the door gave, letting Darcy throw in the pulse weapon. He tried to close the door, but someone inside pulled it the other way. Darcy was dragged into the room with the grenade. A canine pulled him in, his legs on the door frame. Darcy grabbed his legs, sending them both tumbling. The grenade went off.

“Darcy, Darcy, Darcy,” Radon pleaded. “Come on norm, now would be a really good time for you to wake up!”

Darcy’s eyes barely opened. His head ached. One of his arms was completely numb. And he was still floating in midair.

“Hey,” the norm grunted.

“We got problems, Darcy. Harry wasn’t here,” Ray said.

“What about the one I was fighting?”

“He’s beside you.”

Darcy forced an eye open. “What?”

The dog in question was strung to a light fixture, still out cold. He was well dressed, a dark-grey mutt with mechanical vines wrapping around his arms and legs.

“Those full-body cuffs are pretty slick, eh?” Ray said, commending his own purchase idea.

“Okay, Ray. I’ll give you this one thing,” Darcy said.

“Thank you.”

“Mel, how’s it going in there?” Darcy asked.

“She’s stuck,” Ray said, “the AI’s trapping her.”

“What? How?”

Mel launched into a technical-sounding explanation.

“No, never mind, not important,” Darcy stopped her. “We’re in Piloting, can’t we do something about that?”

The lynx sat floating in front of the ship’s controls, reading over a manual on the heads-up display. “Yeah, but this is going to take some time. And we don’t know where Harry is!”

A plasma shot surged from down the hall, electricity crackling into Radon. Darcy turned to see him floating limp, stunned.

“RAY!” Mel shrieked.

Darcy pushed off of a wall. Grabbing Mel by her limp waist, he carried them both away from the open door. Another plasma bullet flew past, hitting a window. Thankfully, those were designed to take more of a beating than Ray.

“Wait here,” Darcy said.

“Shit,” Mel hissed, “great idea!”

Darcy peeked down the hall using a reflective piece of metal on his blaster. There was no one around. Outside their room, the alarm still harped loudly. He closed the door.

“Can you turn off that alarm?”

“We're pinned down, Ray’s knocked out, I'm paralyzed, and you’re worried about a fucking alarm?” Mel said.

“Maybe we can hear this guy coming without it on!”

“Fine! Maybe it’ll let me.”

Tense seconds passed. Darcy opened the door to take another look, and a charge from nowhere rang out, hitting the door frame just beside him. It sent numbing electricity into his hand. He shook himself, careful not to let his blaster drift away. “What the fuck, is he invisible?”

Mel was preoccupied. “Okay, this shit’s impossible, but I think I got it.”

The alarm stopped. Before Darcy could thank her, the ship played an angry, dissonant chord. Another tune began.

Darcy looked around, hearing the music bounced off of the walls with muffled acoustics. “Mel…” he started.

The tune was an ancient electronic piece, the kind of thing his grandparents might have listened to hundreds of years ago. A synthesized melody echoed in harmony with a throbbing backtrack.

Darcy finished his thought. “Why do I hear boss music?”

Mel ignored Darcy and shouted at the ship. “You think you're funny, don't you?” The AI giggled in her head.

The human turned the cat around so she was facing him. "Focus, cat. What do we got to work with?"

"A couple guns, two body-cuffs, a pretty butler, a wet Ray..."

Ray's drifting body was still soaked from his rescue operation in the hot tub.

"Maybe we can get Ray to wake up and shake water everywhere, soak this stupid hare," Darcy said.

"That idea has some promise," Mel said.

"No it doesn't," Darcy retorted.

"No, not Ray, the water part."

"How?"

Mel explained her plan. She got him to find a spot on the wall outside from her Elite manual.

Darcy floated down to the bottom of the door. His old heart slowed, and he allowed himself a deep breath. He kind of liked this song. His barrel pushed the door open, he found his mark, and he shot.

The music's melody picked up.

The charge sparked through the outer wall. He fired again, and this time it hit metal. Water seeped from the crack.

"Now!" Darcy yelled.

The beat dropped.

And so did everything else.

Thousands of objects: furniture, plates, and hundreds of gallons of pool water slammed back down. It completely overpowered the sound of the music. Water sprayed from the hole in the wall, coating everything in the hallway in mist--including the cloaker. The droplets hit his advanced suit and vanished, right until they rolled off onto the floor. His form was flat to the ground after regaining weight.

Darcy smiled. He shot a pulse at the hare. The suit rippled under the electricity, shorting and losing half of its cloaking ability. His face was flat against the floor.

Darcy rolled onto his back, panting. It was then that he realized something.

"Mel. Mel, we did it."

Mel was similarly slumped over for incredibly different reasons. "We’re great and everything, but could we please work on the damn AI override?"

Part 6: One-Way Roleplay

* * *

The human and lynx ventured into the ship’s kitchen.

"Can you find some garbage bags?" Darcy asked.

Mel looked up. "I think I saw a box of them in the chandelier?

He looked up, and for several seconds, he had no idea what to say. "Fuck. Can you find a ladder?" Darcy said.

"Can't you just—oh, look who it is!" Mel said.

Ray walked in, looking everywhere at once. He prioritized his questions. "What happened? Where are the three thieves?"

"We threw them all in a bedroom by piloting. You'll be happy to know that the vixen is in good health," Darcy teased. “Very, very angry though.”

"Why would that make me happy?" Ray asked.

Darcy blinked. "Anyway, we'll be here a while, so we’ve been cleaning up."

“That reminds me, I still gotta fix that leak we made,” Mel said.

“Are you going to be able to figure that out?” Darcy asked.

“Darcy, come on. I do this shit for a living. Or did, anyway. Hallelujah.”

Mel left the two men to the mess of a kitchen. Food, as well as all kinds of small appliances were scattered on the floor, broken glass adding to the semi-edible arrangement. Thankfully, the largest appliances seemed to be fastened into place.

“You hungry?" Darcy said, stepping over a pile of broken plates.

Ray closed his eyes and chuckled to himself. "I don't know how you do it."

"What?"

"You act like this is normal. Like you get into relationships with a cat and steal spaceships all the time."

The human turned to give Ray a sideways expression. "I don't have a thing for your wife."

"Uh, huh," Ray said, crossing his arms.

"It was just curiosity. You know she came onto me first?"

"So your stupid letter was just you being curious?"

Darcy thought it through, shuffling through the groceries that had been stirred in the fridge.

"Okay, look. Your wife is hot, and I got the impression she might be up for some revenge. But I don't want to come between you and her. I don't love your wife.

"I know that. I just need to be sure that you know that."

"I know it," Darcy replied.

Ray took another look around the room. "Good."

"Then are you hungry for a sandwich or no?"

Darcy had a package of some kind of deli meat in his hands. The canine could tell from the smell that it came from a real animal, not the fake stuff all too ubiquitous on the station. Radon nodded.

* * *

“Those fucks had nothin’ on me,” the hare complained. “What did we do? Get you to try and steal some skinny’s precious antimatter? Makes no fuckin’ sense.”

“Don’t blame me for this shit,” Gida said.

“I ain’t. I just told you it don’t make no fuckin’ sense!”

“They gotta be bounty hunters. Professionals,” the canine, Yussef said. “Found out who we were, decided to cash in.”

“We ain’t traceable,” Gida denied.

“No one’s untraceable. Especially not with your dad,” Yussef said to the hare.

“Fuck my father.”

A silence took over. Gida paced the floor, dreaming up a way out of the room. Yussef was folding clothes that had drifted off of their rack earlier, despite the fact that no one there had ever worn them. The hare listened from the bed. Pipes rattled in the wall as Mel worked to seal the leak outside.

“Somebody’s out there’,” the hare said, “Hey! Who’s there?!”

“What do you want, lagomorph?” she said through the door.

“Hey, you that cat, aren’t you?” the hare said.

“Lynx.”

“Yeah, yeah, lynx, of course. So... how much is Harry givin’ yous for our capture? Bet I can do better!”

Mel opened her mouth, about to ask who Harry was, if not him. She chose her actual words more carefully. “We got you locked up now. Why would I believe a word you say?”

“Use your head. You think Harry’s gonna give yous your money? You’ll be lucky he doesn’t shoot you for trashing his ship.”

Mel tried a line. “Harry wouldn’t do that.”

The hare laughed. “You think he’s going to be kind to you just because you workin’ with a norm?”

“What’s your problem with him, anyway?”

“How long ya got, dear?”

Mel smiled, then responded in a tired juxtaposition. “Well, I can’t exactly get away from you idiots till this pipe isn’t going to flood the hall, so.”

“It all started on the day of my birth,” the hare began.

“Fuck off,” Gida interrupted.

“Daddy wanted some shit like 'Harry Junior', Mommy wanted 'Nickola.' Mommy won, and my father has hated me ever since.”

“Fascinating,” Mel said dryly.

Nickola spun a tall tale. He said that he came from a long line of norms, from a Family with a history for not playing things by the books. When he came home one day in a new, fluffier body, his father was quick to reject his choice.

“I wasn’t gonna switch back to that sack of skin,” Nickola ranted. “And what, go back on my word to Gida and Yussef? No. I took us all outta that shithole mansion and started flyin’. Well, Yussef does the flying.”

“You couldn’t pilot a kayak,” Yussef said.

Nickola kissed the air at him, bringing a paw out from his lips. “The fuck’s a kayak?"

Yussef smirked and shook his head.

“Good story, but I’ll be going now,” Mel said. Through some robotics and inventive welding techniques, the spray of water had halted.

“Wait, you don’ wanna hear how I can beat his money?” He could hear her pawsteps recede. “Cat? Lynx!”

Part 7: Bedroom Math, Bathroom Chemistry

* * *

Mel didn't make it far before she heard Darcy and Ray talking, coming up from the other direction.

"You wouldn't believe it,” Ray explained. “It's been entirely modeled, right down to every fiber. You can take anyone and have it adjust to the perfect fit for them.”

Darcy only looked like he was half listening, physically exhausted. "Hey Mel," he said.

"What were you talking about?" Mel said.

"Mattresses! ” Ray said. “I'd be surprised if these ones weren't amazing."

"Before we sleep, we need to talk about some stuff," Mel said. She looked back at the door she just got done talking through.

"I've been going all day now, Mel. Can it wait?" Darcy begged.

She let air out of her lips. "I guess. We should really point the ship somewhere, though.

"There's a good scrapyard a few stars down. We can head for that," Darcy suggested.

"Scrapyard? You want to trash all this?" Ray gestured broadly.

"The sooner we’re off this ship, the better," Mel said. She turned on her Eye, getting the coordinates for the scrapyard. She put it into the navigation. Thankfully, the AI was much more polite now that she had the ability to give it a factory reset.

"Come on," Mel told them, "The biggest bedroom’s down this way."

Surprising the three of them, the room was mostly intact. After some pushing, a massive bed got back on its wooden frame. They pulled flat a rug that felt equivalent to having your feet hugged by tiny angels. The nebulous cosmos outside the windows was blotted out with a single button press.

They turned off the lights. Darcy collapsed on a bed that no one had bothered to make. “You were right,” Darcy sighed, “the math checks out.”

Mel went to check it out for herself.

Ray smiled with a shared exhaustion, taking off most of his clothes.

"What were you going to tell us, anyway?" Ray said.

"Ahh," Mel yawned, "I'll tell you tomorrow." She jumped on the bed beside Darcy.

"Not even going to brush your teeth?"

Her face was in the blankets, burying herself next to Darcy’s chest. "Tomorrow," came her muffled reply.

Tomorrow came in the form of a gentle increase in the ship’s lighting. Darcy Jones tried to not be the first one awake, but it didn’t keep his eyes from opening. He had found himself in a contorted position. It couldn’t have possibly been comfortable on any other bed. He rolled around onto his back. Mel shifted beside him, her fur rubbing against his skin.

Darcy stayed where he was, one hand running idly through the lynx's fur. He let himself get lost in his thoughts. He thought about how her maw felt the other day, how her pussy felt the day before that. His hand pet lower. His thoughts went to their encounter with Devin Kaan, and how Mel’s old gender couldn’t matter less.

“You can go lower than that,” Mel murmured.

“When did you wake up?” Darcy whispered. He brought his hand over her crotch, feeling the warmth and wetness in her heated fur.

“A bit ago,” she said.

Darcy spoke into Mel’s ear. “I never got to return the favor yesterday.” With her legs apart, his fingers gravitated to her labia, gently probing the soft skin buried in her fur. She stretched her legs out in response, flexing her hips upwards.

“I was so sick of waiting,” Mel admitted.

“Careful, you might wake Ray,” he said.

“Don’t tease,” she said. The excitement in her voice was just barely poking through.

"Not even a little bit?" he questioned, insincere. He poked the tip of a finger inside, immediately withdrawing it to keep sliding it, slowly, against her slit.

She brought a paw onto his hand, forcing it down. Claws gripped into his skin, making sure he wouldn't pull away.

Darcy submitted. He delved a finger in, splitting her eager flesh as she coated him in her clear lubrication. He thought she would release her claws. She dug in harder.

"Ouch," he hissed.

"Sorry," she said.

The human sat up in bed, his back to a mountain of pillows. He motioned for her to come to him, still weary of waking Ray.

Mel stood and stretched, only making a couple steps towards Darcy before he grabbed her, putting her long body on his lap. Her back was against him, her head beside his. She looked up at him, a curious look on her face, but she didn't say anything.

Darcy’s hand went to her belly, soothing the ruffled fur as he dared lower. He split the feline open with two fingers. He squeezed in and curled the fingers inside of her. Slowly grinding the tips of his fingers against her heat, he pulled them out of the impatient feral, letting the juices seep from her pussy.

She squirmed against him. A little moan escaped as he teased a gentle increase. Darcy was in his underwear; she could feel his erection start to poke against her back.

"Stop fucking with me and fuck me already," she muttered.

"Okay, just," Darcy laughed, looking over to Ray. He stretched his arms and legs, and then his eyes opened for an instant.

"What are you doing?" Ray grunted.

"Not much," Darcy said.

"He's being a gentle bastard," Mel said.

Ray blinked, opening his eyes wider to see Darcy's fingers in his wife.

"Yeah, big mistake," Ray laughed gently.

"I was just building up to it.”

"Yeah, that was your mistake," Mel insisted.

"Sounds like you like it to me," Darcy said in her ear. He moved his fingers faster. They were pulled together by the grip of her walls.

"We purr when we’re in pain too," she offered. Her paw swiped the air. Her tail flagged down, revealing her anus in the mountain of fur. Her own juices seeped off Darcy's hand and into all her luscious fur, the smell permeating the room.

Ray was enjoying the show. He woke up with morning wood, and this only exacerbated it. With his mind split, he finally decided to give up and make good use of it.

"God, look at you," Ray said. His paw was to his own erection, taking a few hesitant rubs of himself.

"Told you he got off on this stuff," Mel breathed.

"As long as I get to fuck you, I don't care," Darcy said back. He experimentally kissed her neck.

Mel wiggled in his hands again, swearing. Unable to control the approach of her orgasm, Mel felt almost powerless. But she wanted to focus on the feeling of his experienced fingers, not worry about the details for once. His digits dug in, pulling more feline juices from her depths. He added his ring finger to the equation, her clamping tunnel hardly letting it in.

She moaned again, looking down at herself, her pussy split wide on the human's lap. His fingers shifted, going for a new target.

"You like butt stuff, right?" Darcy asked. He didn't wait for a response.

Mel felt a new set of fingers spread her pussy, his original hand rubbing her vaginal output over her tailhole. She was rocked by the new sensations, purring in ecstasy.

"Yeah, she does," Ray said almost to himself. He moved on the bed for a better view, both of his paws still rubbing his cock.

Building back to a fast pace, Darcy’s fingers massaged her pussy eagerly, guessing at her clit. With his other hand, he massaged her tender butt, never quite slipping inside. He wanted to give her a chance to fully recover after getting knotted anally the day they met.

"Tell me when you get close," Darcy said.

It didn't take long. She purred loud, twisting on top of him, tensing against both hands, one after the other.

"I'm there," she grunted.

Taking as many fingers as he could, he stretched them inside her pussy. His other hand pressed inside her slick ass, wiggling his fingertips.

Her orgasm shot through. Darcy felt her butt briefly relax as her body was reeling, letting him stretch her ass further, drawing out her orgasm for a few more powerful seconds. Mel stretched on his lap, soaking it up until he pulled his fingers from either orifice.

"Do I get an apology yet?" Darcy asked.

"Not even close," Mel responded, rolling off of him. "Take off your underwear."

He complied quickly. Mel was on top of him before he could get the underwear off his ankles.

Ray's knot started to swell. He watched Mel and Darcy exchange a messy kiss, her legs stretched around Darcy's waist. His dick was buried in the wet, silky fur. Mel broke off from the kiss, trying to stand around him, get above his prodding erection. Darcy steadied her with one hand, holding his dick with another. She rocked herself side to side, finding the mark, finally sinking down on him.

With her short legs, she couldn't stand up for very long. The inches disappeared in her bestial walls till she was sitting down on his lap, her tail rubbing between his bare legs.

Mel struggled to contain her energy. She couldn't easily move by herself in this position. Darcy helped. He grabbed her sides, guiding her hips up and down, burying himself into the warmth of the lynx. He flexed his hips upwards, making his pubic hair reach the feline’s cunt. Her claws dug into his chest, warning Darcy of the consequences of letting go.

The tempo built. Darcy's arms got heavier, working harder to channel Mel's energy. He strained, eventually halting both of their efforts.

"Hold on," he said.

He pulled her close to him, bare chest to furred, feeling his penis squished along inside her. He brought their bodies flat to the bed.

Mel sat up on her front paws, enjoying her new vantage point, her crotch practically sitting joined to his. "Good call," she sighed, sliding her hips against him.

The lynx's front paws grabbed his chest again, using her back legs and hips to rock up and down on him. She took his full length with deep, lustful motions. She decided how fast she crammed herself, and how long it took for him to peak. All Darcy could do was hold her legs and go along with the ride.

Ray whimpered beside them. Clutching his knot and jerking the rest of his length, his efforts stalled. Cum spurted from his canine tip. The stream first found the bedsheets between his legs. Then it ran onto the fur of his balls. His hips bucked upwards in a canine reflex.

Mel's pussy squeezed around Darcy, her body rising and falling as fast as her breaths. Darcy's grip on her back tightened as his pleasure rose and Mel's long claws dug in harder. She purred in delight, looking over at her husband.

Creeping up out of nowhere, Darcy's orgasm approached and overwhelmed him. Mel didn't slow down, hardly noticing the cum shoot inside her, drenching her tunnel with hard spurts.

"Ahh, Mel!" Darcy groaned in opposition to her fast pace. His dick was suddenly oversensitive, his head massaged deep inside by the cat’s unrelenting thrusts.

Mel just smiled. Cum leaked out around his dick. Strings of it connected their rutting bodies together. It only made everything slicker, messier, easier for her to keep pounding down noisily. It took almost another minute for her to finally relent.

She lowered her front half down to him, her face right in front of his. "I forgive you," she said.

"You're a jerk," Darcy breathed. His dick stayed hard inside the quadruped despite her abuse. He flexed himself, enjoying the sensation.

"Oh? Wanna go another round?" Mel propositioned. She tensed herself in response.

Darcy hesitated.

Ray butted in. "Maybe we should all get cleaned up."

Mel thrusted down onto the creamed human penis a few times anyway, sloppy noises filling the air again. "Mmm. Gah, he's right actually. I hate it when that happens," she teased.

She raised off of his dick. A thick creampie drooled from feline lips and left Darcy in a puddle of their own mutual lust. Then she went to an empty part of the large bed, lapping up the substance with her own tongue.

"Come on, we're bathing properly this time. You don't mind waiting, do you Darcy?"

"I mean," Darcy said, sitting up, "I'm kind of a mess here."

"Me too! I'll throw you a towel," Ray said.

Mel was still dutifully buried in her pussy, all her effort focused on her delicious crotch. Cum clung to her muzzle lips.

Ray interrupted her, scooping her up in his arms in a practiced motion. "Nope," he grunted, "real bath, no tongue bath."

Mel licked her lips. "Where's your fur pride, babe?" she said, looking back at Darcy.

Darcy wondered what she meant by that.

Ray managed to open the bathroom door, then close it, finally setting Mel down

The master bathroom was as impressive as every other room. Triple sinks, a separate bath and shower. The shower had a continual array of showerheads, making it impossible to guess where water was supposed to come out of. Additionally, the laws of luxury dictated that the dial be nearly impossible for any mortal to understand.

"Okay, I think I just have to..." Ray contemplated, "nope, maybe it's touch-sensitive?"

Radon continued to fiddle with the dial as Mel got impatient. "Take your time, just dripping cum on the floor here," she complained. "Should I get the manual up?"

He sighed, admitting defeat to the shower gods. "I've been useless since we got up here."

"What do you mean?" Mel said.

"I don't have the digital know-how you have. I can't fire a gun like you or Darcy. All I did was blow our cover last night."

Mel's paws tapped away at the shower dial in a short, seemingly random combination. "You don't have to be good at that crap. You kept your cool pretty good last night! And if you didn't spot that chick at all, I think it all could have gone a lot worse."

"Maybe," Ray admitted.

Water started to pour onto them. It was already the right temperature, soothing their stiff muscles and flattening their fur.

“If anyone should feel useless, it should be me,” Mel said. “I couldn’t even move half the time! I hardly felt like I was me.”

The canine spied a flat panel on one of the shower walls. He experimentally tapped it, revealing a shelf with shampoos and soaps.

“That reminds me. That Kaan guy didn’t get to you at all, did he?” Ray said.

“No! Definitely not.”

Ray knew she wouldn’t admit to it if she did. He poured some nice-smelling fur-soap into his paws. “Good. That idiot doesn’t know anything about you anymore.”

“Yeah, I know right?” she said, forced.

Kneeling down, Ray approached his wife with lathered paws, working the soap into her thick fur. "I don't get how anyone could talk crap about you like that. You're the cutest, wittiest little--"

"Yes," Mel purred, stretching, "shower me in compliments."

"Heh, 'shower,'" Ray punned.

"Don't ruin it."

"Hottest too," he recovered. "Seeing the norm fuck you like that. That was pretty…"

"At the end there, it was more me fucking him," Mel said. “And you should really just call him Darcy already.”

“It was intense. I don’t know what to think about Darcy, though.”

“Relax. You’re still the only one who can make me finish with just your dong.”

Ray laughed at “dong.” He worked more soap in around the fur on her head. “That’s not what I was getting at... Wait, really? The only one?”

“You just have the technique down,” Mel told him. She lowered her head between Ray’s crouching legs, opening her maw just slightly around the tip of his sheath. She could still taste his cum on him.

“You're feisty this morning,” Ray said. "Shouldn't we wait till we get out of the shower?"

The feline raised her paw, reaching between his legs and gently squeezing his balls. "Just to get dirty again?"

"I don't think I could ever clean that mind of yours," Ray said, sighing.

"It might take more than a good dicking," Mel admitted.

He laughed. "That's fine. As long as you know that no one gets to love you like I do."

Mel's eyes went wide, in turn making her blink out the water that was hitting her face. "That's a surprisingly dominant stance for a guy who likes to watch."

"Not that kind of loving. You know, the kind of love created by the chemical process in your exact interconnection of felid-sapient hybridized neurons and bioware QPUs, especially in relation to my exact configuration of canine ones?"

Mel smirked, rubbing his dick with a lazy paw. "I love you too, big guy."

"Hop up here already," Radon huffed. He picked up Mel below her arms and hugged her, bringing his snout to hers. He licked the fur on her cheeks, matting it the opposite way from the heavy pull of the water.

"Yes," Mel cheered, "doggy kisses!"

The large canine brought his tongue to the front of her face, licking her nose and mouth in tender swipes. Mel murmured happily. His paws snuck below her tail and rubbed her pussy, still slick from arousal and not water. His broad tongue slipped into her mouth, lapping against her sharp incisors. The cat worked hard to kiss him back, wrapping her large paws around his shoulders to support her weight.

"Stupid water," Ray moaned. His dick stood high, poking the shower wall, pressing up against Mel's wet fur.

"We got this," Mel responded.

"No," Ray said. He pressed the lynx against the shower wall, head to head. "I got you."

He snuck his digits deep into his lover. He rubbed her natural fluids all over his erection. He hopped up, squeezing his red member between her legs. With one movement, he spread his wife on his taper, feeling her grow tighter and tighter as he fit more inside her gorgeous, twitching cunt. Once he reached his knot, he was forehead-to-forehead with Mel, breathing deeply as they adjusted to each other.

Ray grabbed her hips, beginning to thrust into his lynx.

"Mm. Don't slip," Mel warned.

"Don't worry," he panted, "you're much lighter when you're not hacking spaceships."

"What is that supposed to… oh god damn," she purred.

It didn’t matter how many times he got to feel the lynx around his cock. From their first one night stand to the second. From then to now. Her addicting softness wrapped around him. His knot pressed against her pussy. It was always just tight enough to make it take some effort, but not enough to be painful. Ray made the most of every thrust, bucking up into his feral wife, sliding in until his knot pressed her hips against the shower wall.

Mel shivered in spite of the warm water. She flexed around him, feeling every slight change in shape in his length as he relentlessly pumped in and dragged out. Wrapping her hind paws around his waist, she was holding on for every moment they were joined.

Despite her clenching hips, her body allowed itself to be stretched further and further. He felt his dick curve up with her walls. He felt more juices soaking the bulb of his knot, the tip of his penis tickling further in. Shameless thrusts pulled the last globs of Darcy’s cum from deep inside Mel, sliding against their own sexes with ever-less friction. It dripped down his balls, washed away by water.

She didn’t demand him to go faster, or just to tie her already. She extended her enjoyment, welcoming each thrust he could give. Letting the waves of an orgasm build, she didn’t wait for it to hit her at the peak. She enjoyed the scenery. Her goofy, protective husband was wagging his tail as he railed her, her back firmly against the shower wall. The water pushed down the Bernese’s long facial fur, almost covering his sweet gaze. The regal array showerheads sprayed warm water from every direction, but it always seemed to miss their eyes, letting them watch the other’s ridiculous expressions. Her husband always seemed so eager to have his turn inside, especially after a rival male.

Finally, it hit her. His knot spread her lips to the widest, her clitoris sparking her heat into fire. Her paws clenched the air behind his neck, claws out. She mewled, overcome. Her vaginal walls tensed against the dog’s member as he kept pumping vigorously.

Instinct took hold of Ray. His paws clenched her narrow waist, forcing the last tantalizing inch of his knot into the cat. She pulsed, demanding he fill her with more than the pre and human cum lubricating their union.

Her crotch bulged under the width of his knot. It only grew wider as his orgasm shot through him, thickening his bulb and filling her with a stream of his seed. His hips bucked, no distance between her feline pussy and his sheath. His tip pushed through cum, coating him, trying to breed her.

Feeling the sensitivity finally catch up with him, Ray’s movements grinded to a halt. “Okay,” he panted, “I don’t think I can stay standing.”

“Then sit down?” Mel suggested.

“Right now?”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah,” he agreed, nodding. “Alright.”

Mel clung on to Ray as he slid against the shower wall, careful not to fall completely. From the floor, the water felt noticeably cooler. They kept each other warm.

The lynx looked down to where their hips met, rubbing her belly. “I love how you can make out your knot while it’s still inside me.” She ground her hips down against him, quiet squishing sounds accenting it.

“You’re a stretchy kitty,” Ray said.

“Yeah,” she confirmed. Mel put her head against Ray’s chest. Now that they were sitting still, she could feel Ray’s canine biology at work, occasionally squirting more cum into all of what was already pooling against him. She wished she could roll around, let it seep deeper into her.

“I think I’m starting to like this spaceship more,” Mel thought.

“Just now?” Ray said.

“I thought I was going to like it more. But I also thought we were going to be roughing it in some smelly, disgusting freighter”

Ray shook his head, muffling a moan when a jolt of satisfaction racked him. Mel seemed to squeeze tighter with every spurt, only making him more eager for his next release.

“You’re going to have to elaborate,” he said.

Mel looked up. “I’m not interested in all this frivolous bullshit. I just wanted an adventure with my husband and some old muscular guy. This feels like a vacation.”

"We have more money than we've ever had, and a ship worth even more. Why not take a vacation, just for a little bit?"

"Maybe when we don't have ex-mafia locked in the spare bedroom," Mel revealed.

Ray's cock released one last spurt of cum into Mel's inflated pussy. "What?"

Part 8: Unpopular

* * *

The fennec fox deputy got his free lunch. The police chief allowed him to help in the investigation, but there wasn’t much to go off of. His superiors couldn't identify either of the suspects, not even the red fox they had had in custody. How that was even possible was beyond him.

Henry doubted that the cloaker Fur had had the expensive device just on-paw, so he was going around the station, asking every weapon and tool store he could find if they had seen anyone.

"A cloaker," Devin Kaan said, disbelieving.

"That’s right," Henry said.

"No. No one buys those gimmicky pieces of crap. For how expensive they are, you'd at least think they'd work proper."

"Did you see a lagomorph come through at all? Buy anything else like that?"

"No," Devin said flatly.

Henry nodded, crossing the store off his long list. He thanked the human, and he went to leave.

“Wait, wait," Devin said, "I did see some other weird shit though."

Someone had walked into the shop, distracting Devin. The grey-haired norm took a casual glance at the shop owner and the police officer, and he went to peruse the grimy weapon racks.

"Well?" Henry asked.

Kaan paused in a moment of mental friction. "I was buying this gun off this, uh, this old friend, alright? Said she got it off of this Harry guy. Was talking about how weird it was that Harry just so happened to be a hare, too. I'm worried she might be mixing with the wrong people."

“Interesting. Can I see the gun?"

"Uh, no. I sold it already," Devin lied. "It was this lil' pistol. Real expensive thing, though. So yeah, if ya looking for a hare with a lotta money, his name might be Harry."

"It’s Nickola, actually. My idiot son," the man in back said.

"'Excuse me?" Devin drawled.

“The Family name Ike mean much to either of you two shmucks?"

"Yeah-yes, sir," Henry choked.

Devin didn't have the same reaction. "What's with people asking names today?"

"Listen," Harrison said to the deputy, "The Family knows their way around the galactic black market, and this guy's lyin' about the gun. I'd suggest you walk right outta this… establishment."

"But I saw you," Henry said, immediately shaking his head. “I-I mean—”

"I assure you, Mr. Kuiper, you haven't seen much of anything. Now get your furred ass out of here."

Henry Kuiper swallowed. "Yessir."

Harrison turned back to Devin. "Now, why don't you return my ol' sharpshooter before things get outta hand?"

"I don't know you, and I don’t know what you're tryna do, threatening me, but you best be going. Now," Devin said, leaning in over the counter. He grabbed for his gun below the countertop.

Harry's gaze was focused on that space under the counter like he could see straight through. "Shame," he said.

Kaan frowned, his heart pounding. He raised his rifle, not knowing Kaan had raised his.

The fennec was all the way around the corner, but he still flinched when he heard a single gunshot. He forgot that part, too.
