He took a step in, then I took a step back out  
The wave of sins flooded the world, but what of me?  
I said I shall fight until death, but he said no to that  
We sought out for an escape, and we found it

I took a step in, then he took a step back out  
The world cries with hearts of pain, but what of him?  
He said he shall fight untill death, but I said no to that  
We sought out for an escape, and we found it

Now, we are both cages of our own heart, our own hate  
With the steps of love walking up that golden brick road  
Echos could be heard across the fields of ages to paradise  
I wish we had never taken those loving steps
