And it got me thinking about the disconnect\nbetween what organized religion preaches and what is actually practiced by many members. Because that same\nkind of disconnect happens there. So enjoy this Poem I wrote on a lunchbreak about it.","content":"How Often Do You Ask?\n\n  \n\nAshes to ashes\n\nDust to dust\n\nFuel for the fire\n\nAnd bones meant to rust\n\n  \n\nAnd from that ash\u0026nbsp;\n\nAm I reborn?\n\nClad in scales\n\nAnd a great deal of scorn?\n\n  \n\nAshes to ashes\n\nDust to dust\n\nFuel for the fire\n\nAnd bones meant to rust\n\n  \n\nHow can I stay\n\nSo comfortably calm?\n\nI suppose getting angry\n\nWon't fit in a Psalm\n\n  \n\nWhen you hear his name\n\nHarden not your heart\n\nGod forbid you feel\n\nJustified for once\n\n  \n\nSo I'll grow out my scales\n\nAnd harden my skin\n\nGrant me the claws\n\nTo shred open my kin\n\n  \n\nWhen you hear his name\n\nHarden not your heart\n\nGod forbid you feel\n\nJustified for once\n\n  \n\nWings to lift me\n\nUp above\n\nTo dine with angels\n\nIn their grove\n\n  \n\nGloria!
