I guess that's just how it is sometimes! ^^","content":"The Beautiful Mountain\n\n(08/16/2020)\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nStanding in the distance,\n\nI gaze across the sea,\n\nAnd sea a mountain yonder,\n\nIt's looking back at me,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo innocent and pure,\n\nSo glorious and vast,\n\nIt's tugging at my heartstrings,\n\nMy reverence I've cast,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI watch with eager eyes,\n\nAnd speak my tender words,\n\nI'll keep it in my heart,\n\nBut it is quite absurd,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe mountain's driven snow,\n\nToo far for me to touch,\n\nThough I'd love to venture,\n\nThe distance is too much,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo every day I watch,\n\nAnd listen to the wind,\n\nI am forever loyal,\n\nTo the mountain I'm akin,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAnd when such time has passed,\n\nAdventure claims my soul,\n\nI'll pay tribute to the mountain,\n\nPray she listens to a knoll,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nFor I am ever thoughtful,\n\nI compliment the great,\n\nAnd comfort I surrender,\n\nRegardless of my state,\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nBut no matter what our fate,\n\nIf silence does portend,\n\nAnd if she can't recall me,\n\nTo the mountain I'm a friend.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1618748-alone-among-the-monsters.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1794962-the-love-song-of-a-warrior-poet.json"}}
