# Chapter 28: Someonenew in town

Time to finish interrupted Christmas shopping with Abby's new bo and someone new in town meets the Rangers.

Chapter 28: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Someone &nbsp;new &nbsp;in &nbsp;town&nbsp;

It was &nbsp;a &nbsp;few &nbsp;weeks later &nbsp;Jack Frost dropped 10 inches &nbsp;of &nbsp;snow &nbsp;over night &nbsp;on &nbsp;Wolf POint .Ace &nbsp;and &nbsp;Connor waking &nbsp;at &nbsp;the &nbsp;Sage &nbsp;mansion in &nbsp;kanine &nbsp;form, with &nbsp;their &nbsp;partners &nbsp;still &nbsp;in &nbsp;bed with &nbsp;the &nbsp;sheets in &nbsp;disarray from &nbsp;their &nbsp;previous night's &nbsp;love &nbsp;making after &nbsp;Roe's &nbsp;recovery &nbsp;. The &nbsp;two &nbsp;dogs &nbsp;actually &nbsp;leaving &nbsp;the &nbsp;room &nbsp;to &nbsp; play / &nbsp;annoy &nbsp;with &nbsp;Moose &nbsp;who &nbsp;was &nbsp;in the &nbsp;living &nbsp;room &nbsp;settled &nbsp;in &nbsp;front &nbsp;of &nbsp;the &nbsp;fireplace. The &nbsp;older kanine &nbsp;of 11 gave &nbsp;a &nbsp;disapproving look at &nbsp;the &nbsp;younger &nbsp;dogs as &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;held &nbsp;a &nbsp;ball &nbsp;in &nbsp;his &nbsp;mouth that &nbsp;he &nbsp; tossed up in the air and &nbsp;then &nbsp;caught it in his &nbsp;mouth. Connor &nbsp;finding &nbsp;a rope &nbsp;toy &nbsp;laying &nbsp;down &nbsp;and &nbsp;chewing &nbsp;on &nbsp;it &nbsp;for &nbsp;a &nbsp;minute &nbsp;and &nbsp;then &nbsp;taking &nbsp;it &nbsp;over &nbsp;to &nbsp;Moose &nbsp;and &nbsp;trying &nbsp;to &nbsp;entice him to &nbsp;play. Moose &nbsp;groaning &nbsp;at &nbsp;there &nbsp; antics and &nbsp;laying &nbsp;back &nbsp;down to &nbsp;finish &nbsp;his &nbsp;nap.

  

Later &nbsp;that &nbsp;morning, Connor &nbsp;and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;where &nbsp;at &nbsp;Alex's &nbsp;bedside &nbsp;nudging &nbsp;their &nbsp;partners &nbsp; to &nbsp;wake up. Roen groaning &nbsp;out &nbsp;to &nbsp;go away &nbsp;with &nbsp;Alex &nbsp;turning &nbsp;away &nbsp;from &nbsp;Ace as &nbsp;he &nbsp;nudged &nbsp;ALex in his &nbsp;side. Both &nbsp;dogs &nbsp;jumpping &nbsp;on the &nbsp;bed &nbsp;and &nbsp;each &nbsp;grabbing &nbsp;corners &nbsp;of &nbsp;the &nbsp;bed &nbsp;sheets in &nbsp;their &nbsp;mouths &nbsp;and &nbsp;pulling &nbsp; them &nbsp;off &nbsp;their &nbsp;partners. ROen waking &nbsp;at &nbsp;the &nbsp;change &nbsp;of &nbsp;temperature, ALex &nbsp;trying &nbsp;to &nbsp;cuddle into &nbsp;Roe for &nbsp;warmth and &nbsp;not finding &nbsp;it &nbsp;from &nbsp;Roen. As he &nbsp;pops one &nbsp;eye &nbsp;open finding &nbsp;Ace smiling &nbsp;with &nbsp;the &nbsp;bed sheet still &nbsp;in &nbsp;his &nbsp;muzzle ,Alex &nbsp;heaves &nbsp;a &nbsp;sigh grumbling to &nbsp;himself &nbsp;as &nbsp;he &nbsp;gets &nbsp;out &nbsp;of &nbsp;bed &nbsp;and pulls &nbsp;on flannel pajama pants over &nbsp;his &nbsp;Boxer briefs and &nbsp;then &nbsp;finding &nbsp;a long sleeve shirt &nbsp;to &nbsp;cover &nbsp;his &nbsp;naked &nbsp;chest &nbsp;and &nbsp;arms from the &nbsp;chili morning. ALex nudging &nbsp;ROe to &nbsp;get up, he &nbsp;does &nbsp;so and &nbsp;pulls &nbsp;on pajama pants also, already &nbsp; wearing &nbsp;a short sleeve &nbsp;shirt &nbsp;to &nbsp;bed &nbsp;with &nbsp;his &nbsp;Boxer briefs.

  

 "Why &nbsp;don't &nbsp;you &nbsp;buy a auto feeder?" ROen complaintes &nbsp;to &nbsp;Alex, stumbling half awake &nbsp;to the &nbsp;kitchen &nbsp;for &nbsp;breakfast . Their &nbsp;housekeeper &nbsp;Mrs. Cane at &nbsp;the &nbsp;stove &nbsp;just &nbsp;plating &nbsp;the &nbsp;last bacon piece onto a plate,the &nbsp;plate &nbsp;featuring a good hearty breakfast of &nbsp;eggs and &nbsp;bacon for &nbsp;the &nbsp;two &nbsp;boys. Connor &nbsp;and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;already &nbsp;at &nbsp;their &nbsp; dishs &nbsp;eating &nbsp;their &nbsp;breakfast, Moose &nbsp;under the table &nbsp;away &nbsp;from Connor and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;eating &nbsp;his own breakfast.

 "Good &nbsp;morning &nbsp;boys, did &nbsp;you &nbsp;have &nbsp;a &nbsp;good You'll tied rest?" She &nbsp;greets sweetly , sounding &nbsp;like &nbsp;Mrs. clause from SantaPaws 1 and 2, &nbsp;they &nbsp;nod &nbsp;in &nbsp;answer &nbsp;as &nbsp;Mr. Cane &nbsp;comes &nbsp;in &nbsp;kissing &nbsp;his &nbsp;wife &nbsp;on the &nbsp;cheek. "Good &nbsp;morning &nbsp;my &nbsp;dear." he &nbsp;greets. his &nbsp;Santa &nbsp;like outfit shining &nbsp;in &nbsp;the &nbsp;morning &nbsp;light &nbsp;thrugh &nbsp;the &nbsp;window.&nbsp;

  

Mr and &nbsp;Mrs. Cane &nbsp;have &nbsp;been &nbsp;with &nbsp;the &nbsp;Sages' since &nbsp;before &nbsp;ALex's &nbsp;birth, the &nbsp;two &nbsp;like &nbsp;second &nbsp;parents &nbsp;to &nbsp;Alex.

Mr. Cane &nbsp;laughs &nbsp;as &nbsp;he &nbsp;watches &nbsp; Connor &nbsp;and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;now laying &nbsp;down at the &nbsp;table, "Oho hho ho." the &nbsp;deep &nbsp;belly &nbsp;laugh &nbsp;leaving &nbsp;his &nbsp;white &nbsp;full &nbsp;Beard &nbsp;mouth. "WHat &nbsp;plans &nbsp;do &nbsp;you &nbsp;two have &nbsp; &nbsp;for today?"

  

ALex &nbsp;swallows the last bite and then answers, " "Finals and &nbsp;then shopping &nbsp;with &nbsp;Abby and &nbsp; &nbsp;her &nbsp;new &nbsp;boyfriend."

  

 "Becareful the &nbsp;snow has &nbsp;started &nbsp;coming &nbsp;down and &nbsp;its &nbsp;only &nbsp;going to &nbsp;get &nbsp;worst." Mrs. Cane &nbsp;advises, picking &nbsp;up &nbsp;their &nbsp;finished &nbsp;plates.

  

Roen and &nbsp;ALex &nbsp;head &nbsp;back to the &nbsp;bedroom, with &nbsp;Connor &nbsp;and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;following. Roen and &nbsp;Ace &nbsp;get a &nbsp;joint shower washing &nbsp;off the &nbsp;cum &nbsp;and &nbsp;sweat from &nbsp;last night's &nbsp;activities. Once &nbsp;finished &nbsp;they &nbsp;dress and &nbsp;get &nbsp;the &nbsp;boys &nbsp;ready &nbsp;and &nbsp;head &nbsp;off to &nbsp;school. Roen's &nbsp;Messenger &nbsp; bag &nbsp;Swan over a &nbsp;shoulder as the &nbsp;door &nbsp;closes &nbsp;behind them.

  

At school, &nbsp;Roen, ALex &nbsp;and &nbsp;the &nbsp;two &nbsp;dogs &nbsp;meet &nbsp;Abby at their &nbsp;usual spot, finding &nbsp;Abby talking &nbsp;to her &nbsp;new &nbsp;boyfriend &nbsp;of a &nbsp;few weeks, the &nbsp;guy Jamie &nbsp;smiling &nbsp;at something &nbsp;Abby &nbsp;said. &nbsp;"Have &nbsp;you &nbsp;met &nbsp;that &nbsp;new &nbsp;guy? Julian &nbsp;Bradington, he's &nbsp;kinda &nbsp;upper crust." Abby &nbsp;asks, as &nbsp;she &nbsp;hikes up her &nbsp;falling &nbsp;backpack &nbsp;strap on to her &nbsp;shoulder.

  

 "No, I think &nbsp;I have &nbsp;a &nbsp;class &nbsp;with &nbsp;him &nbsp;later &nbsp;though." Jamie &nbsp;replies, seeing &nbsp;Roen and &nbsp;Alex &nbsp;approaching, "Hey &nbsp;Roe, ALex."

  

 "Oh &nbsp;hey &nbsp;lovebirds!" Abby &nbsp;greets, ALex &nbsp;blushing at the nicknames, Roen just &nbsp;smiling &nbsp;broadly &nbsp; &nbsp;

"Your healing &nbsp;okay &nbsp;Roe?" Abby &nbsp;asks as &nbsp;the &nbsp;two where &nbsp;now &nbsp;next &nbsp;to &nbsp;them.

  

 "Yeah &nbsp; completely healed up." Roen &nbsp;responds &nbsp;with &nbsp;a &nbsp;smile, Connor &nbsp;sitting down Jamie &nbsp;petting &nbsp;him and &nbsp;then &nbsp;Ace. "So &nbsp;how's &nbsp;your &nbsp;grades?"

  

 "Uhhh there fine, Abbs &nbsp;is &nbsp;tutoring me &nbsp;in math &nbsp;though, it's &nbsp; &nbsp;how we &nbsp;met." Jamie &nbsp;replies.

"Oh okay, I was &nbsp;wondering &nbsp;Abbs &nbsp;didn't &nbsp;give &nbsp;details, Huh &nbsp;Abbs?" ROen nudging &nbsp;Abby in &nbsp;her &nbsp;side, "After &nbsp;all &nbsp;I &nbsp;did &nbsp;give &nbsp;details &nbsp;when &nbsp;me &nbsp;and &nbsp;Alex &nbsp;started &nbsp;dating."

Alex sits &nbsp; on the &nbsp;floor, Ace &nbsp;just &nbsp;about &nbsp;in &nbsp;his &nbsp;lap &nbsp;on &nbsp;his back &nbsp;getting &nbsp;his &nbsp;belly &nbsp;rubbed. "Yeah &nbsp;and &nbsp;its &nbsp;been &nbsp;a &nbsp;interesting time."

Alex &nbsp;response with &nbsp;thoughts &nbsp;of &nbsp;their &nbsp; &nbsp;adventures.&nbsp;

  

Later &nbsp;that &nbsp;day &nbsp;after &nbsp;classes &nbsp;were finished, the &nbsp;two couples &nbsp;are &nbsp;at &nbsp;the &nbsp;mall finalizing Christmas gifts.. Roen and &nbsp;Alex &nbsp;sitting &nbsp;on &nbsp;a &nbsp;bench &nbsp;resting as &nbsp;Abby is &nbsp;at &nbsp;check out &nbsp;for &nbsp;her 10th &nbsp;store, Jamie &nbsp;holding &nbsp;about 5 bags in his hands, on &nbsp;his &nbsp;forearms and &nbsp;off &nbsp;his &nbsp;shoulders. A commotion &nbsp;catches Roe's &nbsp;ears, people &nbsp;scream as &nbsp;someone &nbsp;runs &nbsp;pass their &nbsp;bench .

 "Looks &nbsp;like &nbsp;someone &nbsp;just &nbsp; shoplifted something &nbsp;very nice." Alex &nbsp;says, "And &nbsp;looks &nbsp;like &nbsp;someone &nbsp;just &nbsp;tackled the &nbsp;guy &nbsp;to the &nbsp;ground &nbsp;and &nbsp;is &nbsp;sitting &nbsp;on &nbsp;him," ALex &nbsp;narrates, "And &nbsp;here's &nbsp;mall security, he's cuffed &nbsp;and &nbsp;being &nbsp;lead &nbsp;to the &nbsp;security office."

  

 "Wow , I &nbsp;thought &nbsp;only &nbsp;Jonny &nbsp;and &nbsp;his &nbsp;boys &nbsp;were &nbsp;so &nbsp;daring." ROen comments. The &nbsp;sound &nbsp;of &nbsp;feet &nbsp;meet &nbsp;Both &nbsp;their ears &nbsp;as &nbsp;the &nbsp;tackler makes &nbsp;his &nbsp;way &nbsp;back &nbsp;to &nbsp;Abby's &nbsp;final &nbsp;store.

&nbsp;The &nbsp;guy's &nbsp;breathing &nbsp;just &nbsp;a &nbsp;bit &nbsp;winded,&nbsp;

 "Good &nbsp;to &nbsp;see &nbsp;that &nbsp;guy get &nbsp;the &nbsp;cuffs &nbsp;on'em." He &nbsp;says &nbsp;with a &nbsp;accent just faintly noticeable&nbsp;

  

 "Wow &nbsp;great &nbsp; tackle man." Jamie says &nbsp;patting &nbsp;the &nbsp;guy &nbsp;on the &nbsp;back, "Don't &nbsp;I know &nbsp;you?"

  

THe &nbsp;guy &nbsp;looks at &nbsp;Jamie &nbsp;and &nbsp;thinks, for a &nbsp;minute &nbsp;then &nbsp;replies "Oh &nbsp;yes I'm &nbsp;in &nbsp;your &nbsp;math class, I'm &nbsp;Julian &nbsp;Bradington, friends call &nbsp;me &nbsp;Jewels &nbsp;though." He &nbsp;says &nbsp;with a &nbsp;sweet &nbsp;smile&nbsp;

shaking &nbsp;Jamie's &nbsp;hand; holding &nbsp;it &nbsp;longer &nbsp;then &nbsp; normal, as he &nbsp;soon &nbsp;lets &nbsp;go with &nbsp;Abby's &nbsp; approach taking &nbsp;Jamie's &nbsp;hand &nbsp;in &nbsp;her's.

  

 "So &nbsp;your &nbsp;Julian &nbsp;Bradington." Nice &nbsp;to meet &nbsp;you, I'm &nbsp;Abby &nbsp;Heart." Abby &nbsp;says introducing herself,&nbsp;

"Those &nbsp;two &nbsp;lovebirds &nbsp; outside waiting &nbsp;on &nbsp;us &nbsp;are, Alex &nbsp;Sage &nbsp;and &nbsp;ROen Oliver."&nbsp;

Abby Pointing &nbsp;out &nbsp;Roen and &nbsp;ALex &nbsp;sitting &nbsp;on &nbsp;the &nbsp;bench &nbsp;outside &nbsp;the &nbsp;store front, Both &nbsp;waving at hearing &nbsp;their &nbsp;names &nbsp; mentioned.&nbsp;

  

WIth &nbsp;the &nbsp; Excitement finished the &nbsp;two &nbsp;couples &nbsp;head &nbsp;off their &nbsp;shopping &nbsp;done.
