Kion gasped in pain as he leaned against a tree, his paws pressed against the bloody makeshift bandage over his groin.   _I can't believe that stinking mutt bit my cock'n'balls off!, _he screamed mentally as he continued staggering painfully through the forest, hoping to find help.   The lion nullo continued his agonizing trek through the forest, keeping as alert a watch as he could given his circumstances.   _I think I remember Prince Scar saying his estate was this way, _Kion thought as he trudged onwards into the forest in spite of the pain.   As he limbed through the forest, he again mentally thanked the Great Kings that he'd survived both his nullification at Shenzi's teeth as well as the fall into the river.   Kion braced himself against his war hammer, swaying unsteadily on his feet as another wave of pain coursed through him.   "Got to...find help.", he gasped to himself as he pushed himself onwards, agony accompanying each and every step.   A tree root caught his foot, sending him sprawling onto the ground.   "Uuuuuuhhh.", Kion moaned as he lay in the dirt, clutching his crotch as it began to bleed more freely.   After a few minutes he managed to staunch the bleeding, carefully getting back to his feet.   _Must keep going, _Kion thought, pushing onwards in spite of the pain. _Must keep fighting._ _ _ _ _ Zira looked around the tree she'd hide herself behind, nervously adjusting the soiled bandage over the stump where her left paw used to be.   _This is just great, _she thought darkly. _I'm alone, on the run, and unarmed in more ways than one._ _ _ Her ears snapped up in alarm as she heard the bushes rustle near her, alerting her to an approaching figure.   She peeked around the tree, seeing a dirty an disheveled figure stagger out of the underbrush.   The lioness glared venomously as the cloaked newcomer approached her hiding place, limping slowly.   _That's it, get closer, _Zira growled mentally as she prepared her ambush, waiting for her chance to strike.   'RRRAAAGGGHHHHH!", the lioness howled as she leaped at the hooded figure, her remaining claws swiping down upon her target.     "Huh?", Kion gasped as the figure suddenly burst from concealment, claws outstretched.   He caught the descending swipe, the pain in his groin distracting him from retaliating.   "UUHHHHH!", Kion groaned as the figure swung a left hook into his crotch.   He crumbled to the ground, laying there as he clutched his ruined groin in agony.   "Kion?", the figure asked.   "Z-Zira?", Kion gasped, in both pain and surprise.   Zira pulled Kion's hood down, sighing in relief as she recognized him.   "At last another lion.", Zira purred, looking Kion over.   Kion moaned as he pushed himself into a sitting position, again trying to staunch the bleeding from his groin.   Zira winched as she saw the lion guard's fiercest had been turned into a nullo.   "What happened?", the lioness asked, sitting down next to the lion.   "We ambushed that hyena bitch's caravan.", Kion groaned. "Tried to save the crown prince."   "Where's the rest of the Lion Guard?", Zira asked.   "Dead.", Kion replied. "What happened to you?"   Zira thought for a moment. _I'd best not give him cause to think I was involved in Mufasa's overthrow._ _ _ "I was captured during the fighting and escaped.", she lied, holding up her stump. "Mostly."   "What's our plan?", Kion asked, shakily getting to his paws.   "Huh?", Zira asked.   "For taking back our kingdom?", Kion answered.   _You mean Scar's kingdom, _the lioness retorted mentally.
