# Our Goddess bonus - Character Bios

Last month I was a bit stuck with my writing, so I asked my patrons what non-chapter things they wanted to see. They voted for some character bios of Our Goddess characters, so here those are.

# Main Characters

## Akari Mamori

**Species:** Human  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** 20  
**Name note:** Akari means 'Light' and Mamori means 'Protection' (the same root word as the [omamori](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omamori) talismans sold at Shinto shrines).  
**Personality** : Friendly, eager, curious, excited by unusual things, obsessed with Shintoism  
**Appearance** : Cute and a little chubby with wide hips and thighs, purple eyes, shoulder-blade length dark purple hair, and a perpetually bright smile. B-cup. 5'2''  
**Fashion Style:** Plain t-shirts and skirts, or miko shrine maiden outfits that she made herself.  
**Abilities** : Can see and hear Spirits, and since becoming Inara's Chosen One she can glimpse the future by 'remembering forward'.  
**Sexuality:** Homosexual, Biromantic  
**Relationships** : Head over heels in love with Inara, close friends with Inu, Seshi, and Hebi, trying to get closer to Usagi  
**Goals:** Secure her future, earn Inara's love.  
**Personal Mantra** : “Don't fear the unknown. Learn from it."

## Inara

**Species:** Fox Goddess  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** \>1,000  
**Nicknames** : Mistress, The Boss, Miss Inara, Goddess  
**Appearance** : Inhumanly beautiful, with deep gold eyes, long flowing red hair, and black-tipped fox-like ears and tails. E-cup. 5'7''  
**Fashion Style:** Loose kimono or sheer dressing gowns, usually in red or purple.  
**Personality** : Elegant, persuasive, confident, welcoming, doesn't share info about her past  
**Abilities** : Shapeshifting, emotion-influencing aura, mood reading, memory alteration, barrier creation, foresight, conjured clothes, etc, etc.  
**Nine Moods/Personal Ideals** , with corresponding number of tails:

**Appearance** : Short and busty, with light brown eyes, long golden-brown hair usually in a braid, big white bunny ears, and a short fluffy tail. F-cup. 4'11''  
**Fashion Style:** Comfy sweaters and tight leggings.  
**Personality** : Helpful, self-sacrificing, clumsy, shy, jealous, strict vegetarian  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form within blessed areas, excellent cook  
**Sexuality:** Homosexual, Submissive  
**Relationships** : In love with and socially submissive to Inara, bondage Sub to Hebi.  
**Goals:** Serve Inara, take care of her housemates.  
**Personal Mantra** : “Love is worth any sacrifice."

## Hebi

**Species:** Major Spirit (Snake)  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** \>700  
**Appearance** : Slim and tall, with narrow eyes, human ears, very long grey hair in a ponytail or bun, and a four-foot-long grey prehensile tail. A-Cup. 5'8''  
**Fashion Style:** Either in formal office dress or completely nude. Rarely bothers with bras.  
**Personality** : Curious, scheming, sly, food motivated, nicer than she seems, gets wild when drunk.  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form within blessed areas, flawless liar, contract magic (channeling Inara's power)  
**Sexuality:** Pansexual, Dominant  
**Relationships** : Dom to Inara, Dom to Usagi  
**Goals:** Keep the shrine running, learn and stay ahead of the curve.  
**Personal Mantra** : “There is always a way to victory, if you're willing to do what it takes."  
**Character Inspirations:** Mitsune Konno from “Love Hina", Hanako Koyanagi from “Wotakoi", Kuon from "Utawarerumono", Kraft Lawrence from "Spice and Wolf"

## Inu

**Species:** Major Spirit (Dog)  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** 30  
**Appearance** : Fit and strong, with wide orange eyes, short platinum-blonde hair, and fluffy tail and ears. C-cup. 5'6''  
**Fashion Style:** Athletic clothes like sweats, gym shorts, and sports bras.  
**Personality** : Energetic, protective, loyal, hostile to strangers, fitness nut  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form within blessed areas, enhanced endurance  
**Sexuality:** Demisexual (only attracted to Inara, and only when in heat)  
**Relationships** : Friends with Akari, devoted protector of Inara and the Mori-jinsha Shrine  
**Past Identity** : Michi, a beloved family pet  
**Goals:** Defend the shrine, become a Superior Spirit (to be a better protector).  
**Personal Mantra** : “I need to be stronger. For her."  
**Character Inspirations:** Mai Kawakami from “Myriad Colors Phantom World", Polt from “Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls"

## Seshi

**Species:** Named Major Spirit (Nekomata)  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** ~200  
**Appearance** : Gorgeous and sexy, with an hourglass figure, vibrant green eyes, long glossy black hair, ears, and two tails (forked at the base). D-cup. 5'2''  
**Fashion Style:** Punk/rocker clothes: band t-shirts, short skirts, torn jeans. Will conjure other fashion to fit in and seduce people.  
**Personality** : Promiscuous, flirty, cryptic, immature, lazy  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form, illusion, seduction, conjured clothes  
**Sexuality:** Bisexual, Aromantic  
**Relationships** : Friends with Akari, grudging respect for Inara, warden and friend of Nezumi and Shika  
**Past Identity** : Neko, unnamed Major Spirit  
**Goals:** Become a Superior Spirit (for unknown reasons), always have fun

## Nezumi

**Species:** Major Spirit (Mouse)  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** \>40  
**Appearance** : Very short, with round blue eyes, short blue-white hair in an A-line cut, huge round ears with white fur, and a long thin pink tail. B-cup. 4'6''  
**Fashion Style:** Puffy jackets and skirts in public, boy short panties and midriff baring tank tops indoors.  
**Personality** : Blunt, antisocial, easily loses track of time, unbothered by showing/seeing skin, ruthless when needed  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form with help from charms, intuitive understanding of technology  
**Sexuality:** Homosexual  
**Relationships** : In a committed relationship with Shika for the last 40 years, friends with Seshi  
**Goals:** Provide for Shika and herself, get more human technology to take apart and learn about  
**Personal Mantra** : “I'll figure something out, okay?"

## Shika

**Species:** Major Spirit (Deer)  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** \>40  
**Appearance** : Leggy and thin, with short cinnamon-brown hair, big brown eyes, long pointed furry ears from the side of her head, and short white tail she keeps beneath her clothes. C-cup. 5'5''  
**Fashion Style:** A huge variety of fashionable dresses, heels, and classy makeup.  
**Personality** : Ditzy, outgoing, skittish, obsessed with human fashion, falls in love easily, emotionally perceptive  
**Abilities** : Animal form, human form with help from charms, enhanced sense of smell and hearing  
**Sexuality:** Pansexual, Polyamorous  
**Goals:** Live peacefully and treat everyone fairly  
**Relationships** : In a committed but open relationship with Nezumi for the last 40 years, friends with Seshi

**Abilities** : N/A  
**Sexuality:** Homosexual  
**Relationships** : Akari's former underclassman, full-time shrine maiden under Jin  
**Goals:** Get a girlfriend, work hard at her shrine maiden job

## Habuku Watanabe

**Appearance** : Tall and lean, with short black hair gelled back, a chiseled jaw, and dark eyes. 5'9''  
**Fashion Style:** Button-up shirts and slacks. Tries to look classy and serious.  
**Personality** : Self-centered, confident, outgoing, lone wolf, easy to anger, doesn't take no for an answer  
**Abilities** : N/A  
**Sexuality:** Heterosexual  
**Relationships** : Akari's ex-boyfriend  
**Goals:** Pick up chicks, get a good reliable career  
**Character Inspirations:** Various overbearing men, Rintaro Okabe from "Steins;Gate" (appearance only)

## Jin Kammuri

**Species:** Human  
**Gender:** Male  
**Age:** 35  
**Appearance** : Average build, with short black hair and kind eyes. 5'7''  
**Fashion Style:** Priest robes  
**Personality** : Kind, helpful, concerned about others, adaptive  
**Abilities** : N/A  
**Sexuality:** Heterosexual  
**Relationships** : Akari's previous boss, father of Mika, divorced but on good terms with MIka's mother  
**Goals:** Be a good father for Mika, maintain the Nakahara Shrine  
**Character Inspirations:** Eisuke Urushibara from "Steins;Gate"

## Mika Kammuri

**Species:** Human  
**Gender:** Female  
**Age:** 16  
**Appearance** : Short and thin, with wavy brown hair and wide blue eyes. 5'0''  
**Fashion Style:** School uniform, miko outfits, and casual skirts and t-shirts  
**Personality** : Kind, energetic, enthusiastic in whatever she does  
**Abilities** : N/A  
**Sexuality:** Heterosexual  
**Relationships** : Daughter of Jin, part-time shrine maiden under Jin  
**Goals:** Stay close to both her parents, get good grades in school  
**Character Inspirations:** Kanata Higa from "Harukana Receive"
