_One of the first things that is often noted about Hyena culture is that, unlike virtually every other known civilization, it is matriarchal._

_However, it is very different from more familiar ideologies, such as the commonly known Lionessist Cult or The Sisterhood of Aekec._

_Whereas the former demands power for the female and responsibility from the male, hyenas recognize that power without responsibility is tyranny._

_It is this realization that, in part, is responsible for success enjoy by the hyena's matriarchy over similar ideologies._

_In hyena society, it is the female upon whose shoulders is placed the burdens of maintaining said society._
