By and by?  \nIs a better home awaiting  \nIn the sky, Lord, in the sky?\n\nThere are loved ones in my memory  \nI can call now only 'ones.'  \nThere are places long behind me  \nThat were home once. Gone and done.\n\nWill the circle be unbroken?  \nHow should I know? How should I?  \nBut a better home awaits me  \nWith the Sky Lord, in the sky.\n\nI remember, words of comfort  \nThat were truer than you guessed.  \nHow the poor may yet blessed  \nIn the islands of the blest.\n\nI remember from the hymnals,  \nThough you thought I lost my place.  \nYet I've seen, and can confirm there  \nIs a more amazing grace.\n\nI remember every last word  \nThat you ever taught to me.  \nFace to face I saw it clearly  \nAnd the truth has set me free.\n\nWill the circle be unbroken?  \nTurns out that was up to you.  \nWhile your eyes were fixed on heaven  \nWhat on earth, on earth, did you?\n\nThere are other worlds than this one.  \nThere are deeper deaths to die.  \nThere are better lives awaiting  \nOn the other other side.\n\nIf the circle, it is broken,  \nThen so be it. Then goodbye.  \nI will seek a better circle  \nBy and by.
